Private, gated waterfront estate on the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay. Close to the activities on 30A and the Gulf of Mexico (7 minutes) but secluded enough to feel like you have your own private piece of paradise with amazing sunset views. The bay is full of life: watch mullet jump, catch crabs, watch for dolphins and sting rays. If you enjoy fishing, try night fishing on the dock, too. Bay charters come to the waters around our dock on their excursions! If you bring a boat, Cessna Landing is just under 2 miles away with a very nice boat launch. Tie your boat to our dock for the duration of your visit. Boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, swimming, sunset watching, bicycling and campfires are a few things to enjoy while at the 30A Bay Hideaway. Sunset viewing deck, bay beach/dock, fire pit and an outdoor shower and sink with hot water and an outdoor mini-fridge are included in the listing. Owners are not onsite during rental periods and the property is limited to one RV site so you can be sure you will have the property all to yourself!

Incommunicado

in Incommunicado Gulf Front, FloridaPerfect week on the cape
This site was perfect for our annual trip to the Cape! We go each year for scallop season, but we prefer to stay Gulf-side for walks on the beach, sandcastle building, sunrises/sunsets and for the kids to get sufficiently worn out from playing in the waves before bedtime. As Hipcamp hosts ourselves in South Walton County, we were delighted to stay on this well-maintained and quiet site. Even though we expended much energy in our hunt for scallops and many sweaty bikes rides to and from the kayak launch, we left leaving like we'd had a week of R&R! Already booked for next year. Thank you for making our annual trip something we look even more forward to!
Escape to the Cape RV
in Escape to the Cape RV, FloridaFun family trip
A lovely beach escape! We come each year to scallop in the bay, but spending our down time on the beach was a perfect addition to our annual summer tradition. Our kids obviously had a blast and us parents enjoyed the ease of the site. The shower was much needed and appreciated to rinse sand off all our feet before entering the camper. Despite being close to 30E, the road noise was minimal. My favorite treat was viewing the stars at night on the deck - what a beautiful night sky and the most shooting stars I've ever counted. What a fun trip! Oh, and the kayak launch is quite handy to this site for those who want to explore the bay.
Homosassa Springs RV SITE with dock
in Homosassa Springs RV Site, FloridaThis was a family trip to celebrate our son's 10th birthday. The goal - swim with manatees and explore the area, both by land and water. Mission accomplished! This was the perfect location for our visit- we biked to the Wildlife Sanctuary and was able to put in our Zodiac from the host's dock directly into the springs. The street is quiet and despite the host living on property, we hardly crossed paths! It was a lovely stay and when we return, we plan to stay here again. Homosassa is a beautiful place. Thank you, Alonda, for sharing your lovely land with us.
Back Forty Camping
in Back Forty Camping, AlabamaQuiet night for mom and dad
As hipcamp hosts ourselves, we were excited to stay at a fellow hipcamper's property! William is coming along nicely on his property, and I think campers will enjoy being in a secluded setting about 19 minutes from downtown Andalusia. We pulled a 30 ft airstream in without much trouble. We did have to kick in 4-wheel drive to get out, up the sandy terrace. Smaller trailers may not have an issue with a 2WD vehicle. We enjoyed watching the pond's resident duck, see wild geese fly overhead and star gaze at night. It was a nice, quiet night for us parents to get away before the new year rolls in. Thank you, William. Good luck on your Hipcamp adventure!
Waterfront RV Lot
in RV Life by the lake, GeorgiaWe stayed at Traceyâs lot as a stop between state park hopping. It was a pleasure having sewer service so I could take a long hot shower! The lot was as advertised and the stay was quiet and restful. Thanks!
