Top campsite! Grass super well cut, property well maintained, has a boat ramp as well which goes onto the Clyde river which is so pretty. Can head into the cafe and pub via the river too. Each site has its own campsite, very spacious. Wood fired pizza oven, hot shower and toilets also on the property. Would definitely return.

Weekend Trip to Mellows Ridge

The cedar loggers site at Mellow Ridge was a very special location for camping, it is secluded but also not too far from the main property so you can walk to the spa and other places on the property like the waterfall and creek. It was a magical experience to be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest and the illuminated tree fern was a nice touch. We had use of the owners special headlamp which is used by ecologists for searching for wildlife and managed to spot a rare Greater Glider in a tree near our campsite! Relaxing in the spa at sunset with amazing views over the rainforest is a must. The owners were very hospitable and gave lots of good tips and interesting information about the area and their project. My only regret is not being able to stay longer, will definitely have to come back and possibly try one of the other campsites as they all seemed to have their own special attributes.

We enjoyed our stay at Leanne’s property. We stayed at Sunset which had a lovely view facing west and the camping spot was neat. The camping ground has a slight incline but it can be managed easily. Great campfire pit and a table and 4 chairs provided. Plenty of wood around to make fire. Recommend the walk down near the gorge campsite, the views of the canyon are breathtaking. Leanne was very friendly too!!

Great space, close to beach. Could be very crowded in holidays as it was already busy out of season . Great for visitors who like to see Roos as they are in front your door. Glad I did not bring my dogs as this would be difficult. When we arrived a camper was almost on our site , a bit of dispute on who was in the wrong but I had the map to show. Not every spot has a mat laying down, which was confusing for the other camper

If you need supplies you can also travel by boat into Batemans Bay and tie up to many of its wharfs for that different experience. The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream. You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water. The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region. Please be mindful this is a camping and caravaning experience, there is for your convenience a flushing toilet (bring own toilet paper). This site has its own concrete boat ramp making a heaven for all fisho's and skiers. The ramp is totally safe to launch any watercraft. Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

I cherish the cleanliness of the river and surrounds and wish to be able to share this special environment with others who care to preserve all it offers. You can explore the property along the tracks, paddle, swim or fish in the river, enjoy the fauna, wildlife and birdlife. Located not far from Braidwood, a town steeped in history, with good shopping, coffee shops and great food. Sloping to flat land amongst the Scribbly Gum trees offering a number of sites and walks through the property. It provides both sun and shade. Access is good for vans of any size along a track through the bushland. Lovely swimming spots in the Mongalowe River, beautiful clear water, and several lovely bushwalks around the property. There is only Telstra reception available in this area. We offer 7 different sites and the maximum stay is 7 nights.
