Absolutely stunning. This place is a must do if in the area. Located close to Bega makes seeing the town very easy. We had the luck of being the only ones here during our 3 nights and would happily have stayed longer. The camp is located all by itself on the property making it feel truly secluded, with an amazing outlook over the property. Secluded and quiet! Plenty of wildlife about and we were lucky enough to see the resident wombat! Although next to the road you get little passing traffic. On a nice 20 min walk to Bunga Beach we saw an echidna, and plenty of whales and dolphins from the beach. Would recommend!

Lovely campsite!! We were lucky to have it on our own and were able to camp on the grassier side. Definitely recommend ordering the trailer load of wood! Totally worth the money. Was nice too that the tide kept coming in & out so we were able to actually swim in the river. The host made us feel so welcomed and gave us total privacy too. We can’t wait to come back, the dogs loved it too!

Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share! Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river. Once your booking request has been confirmed, let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily. Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water. Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site). Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track. Our property is dog friendly for well-behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs. Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you. Kangarutha also has a country style cottage (with a tennis court!) available for holiday rental - maybe for the parents or friends who are not so into camping!
