Absolutely beautiful farm and camp site! The Camp by the Dam site was private, peaceful, scenic and sheltered from the wind, with views over the dam. We experienced a lot of wildlife (wallabies, kangaroos, lizards, frogs, horses and heaps bird life). We spotted kookaburras, nectar eaters and two different kinds of Kingfisher birds (if you enjoy birdwatching, I recommend taking binoculars!). It was the perfect spot for our dog to be primarily off lead and she absolutely loved it, with plenty of space to run and play. We had the entire farm to ourselves for our three night stay, and even if other campers had been on site, it still would have been very private. Waking up to bird song was absolutely delightful. The kitchen, toilet and shower facilities were great to have access to, within a short distance walk. The kitchen has a small fridge, microwave and washing up facilities, dining table, air conditioning and power points to recharge our power bank for our phones. There were plenty of communal areas which would be perfect for group events (large outdoor dining area/table and chairs, fire pit, beautifully landscaped spaces, events building with large kitchen, dining and lounge area). There were recycling and general rubbish bins, and toilet paper was provided. We ordered a wheelbarrow of wood for our three night stay which was more than enough for our time there and was ready on site for our arrival. We can't wait to book our next visit! Highly recommend!

28 nights at Merimbula Camping

I had a wonderful stay at Merimbula Camping. The bush scenery was lovely and the wombats were hilarious and cute. They liked my caravan and used it as a backscratcher at various times in the night. I then put solar lights around so they mostly stayed away. I loved seeing them in the paddock each night - gentle and quiet. There are many other spacious and beautiful sites with drum fireplaces. The toilets were fine. Hot showers available up at the house. Excellent location just out of town . Water available (bring jerries) on site but you can also get it near town on the Bega Rd out. Dump point available in Pambula a few kms away. Great camping - I’ll be back Meredith !

We originally booked the paddock but changed to riverside and happy we did. Milingandi station is perfect. I loved the creek and the fresh herbs from Jodie’s vege patch. A very special touch. Only wish I could have stayed longer ! Hope to come back.

Another great camp at Churches Point with hubby and dog.If it was not for the damn flies at this time of year it would have been a 100% camping visit.Fishing in the Tuross River is great. A must is a visit to Bodalla Dairy.I held back and only bought 5 cheeses 🧀 😀.Great tasting cheese with Native ingredients. My favourite....all of them

This is a fantastic camp, we would return anytime! Kangarutha is a very charming property and the bush campsites are large and set in amongst beautiful large gum trees. There are walking trails and several lakes on the property - ideal for us to walk the dog and get some exercise. Thank you, Lisa and Tom!

Second stay and can happily say this time around we faced no issues! Sharon has updated the information to include instructions for resetting the amenities block pump if it plays up (first stay this happened with no solution). Can highly recommend this camp, amenities are unreal and the location just tops it off. Makes for a nice trip from Canberra via Badja Forest Road > Falcon road.

Spacious level grassy campsites on the Towamba River, a pristine estuary that runs into Twofold Bay. 10 minutes on bitumen south of Eden and close to many of the Sapphire Coast's stunning coastline, National Parks and attractions. Site #1 (near) Boatramp has NO facilities so you must be self-contained. Site #2 Main Site offers a composting toilet. Both sites have access to fresh water and are suitable for caravans as well as tents. We are not and never will be a 'caravan park' - your group will have exclusive use of the campsite. Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share! Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river. Once your booking request has been confirmed, let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily. Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water. Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site). There is a communal toilet for the campground. Campers can enjoy water activities in the Tuross River (fresh water) such as fishing, swimming and kayaking. Camp fires are allowed.
