I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage.
You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi.
Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent.
Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay.

Being only 2 hours from Sydney and 470 metres off the Pacific Highway, Nth of Newcastle & a 40 drive to Port Stephens, we are set on 25 acres, with lge sites, most drive through (dry weather only) for your convenience.
Hot showers are available ($1 coin for 1 min hot water), toilets and a disability accessible bathroom.
The camp kitchen is large and well equipped with tables, chairs, a lounge area & tv for you to enjoy. The kitchen has cooking facilities, a kettle, toaster, microwave, prepping areas & more making it a comfortable space to prepare and eat meals under cover. Campers have reception to 4G.
We have a turning lane entrance with boom gate security.
When you arrive and set up, you will be able to ramble around our property and enjoy the ambience of the beautiful tree studded campground. Sit back in the afternoon and enjoy nature at its best and then a beautiful warm campfire, perfect!!
Whether you're camping in a tent or vehicle, there's plenty of space to set up. The campsite is grassy and level, and 2WD accessible. There is a dump point for your camping toilet. Generators are permitted from 8am till 5pm (extreme heat on the day consideration).

Welcome Ayr Farm Riverside Camp, a working farm with river access. We can accommodate both small and large groups with sites just steps away from the river.
There is power and water you can access, however there are no toilets, so campers must be self contained and leave no trace.
A 4wd is recommended if you want to camp by the river, but there are plenty of 2wd accessible areas to camp nearby overlooking the river.
I run sheep and cattle on my farm, set in a picturesque part of the Hunter Valley bordered by the Hunter River, which feels far away from it all but is close to both small communities and larger hubs. In addition to the sheep and beef cattle I have a small dairy herd of 8 jersey cows, milking once a day, which you would be welcome to watch. I also have chickens, working dogs and a small market garden which includes a greenhouse, glasshouse and seed-raising area, as well as an abundance of native animals and birdlife on the farm.
The property is a short drive to shops, cafes and pubs, quaint country villages and Maitland/East Maitland with city amenities. The beaches of Newcastle are an hour away with train service from Maitland and the many attractions and events of the Hunter Valley are on your doorstep, with Sydney being easily accessible for weekend adventures.

Hi and welcome to Vista 180.
Vista 180 is our little property situated on the outskirts of town, with 180-degree rural farmland vistas from East to West, that overlooks the Hunter River nearby.
If you're looking for somewhere in a rural setting that has flat to very gently sloping grass paddock areas to set up your tent, camper, caravan or motorhome then this is the place to stay. Our paddock has easy access for vehicles large or small, 2wd or 4wd, with all the conveniences offered in town nearby. Gaze over the farmlands, watch glorious sunrises, sunsets and checkout the stars!
Located at Aberglasslyn, being on the outskirts of town without streetlights, it feels like you're miles away whereas we're only just over the hill from a shopping centre with a Chemist, Supermarket, Doctor, Vet and Café. A few minutes gets you into Maitland, 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards at Lovedale/Pokolbin, 1hr to Newcastle, Nelson Bay and many of the glorious beaches on the east coast.
We are within the catchment area for courtesy buses to the local hotels and bowling club. The vineyard concert (Day On The Green, Red Hot Summer etc) buses pickup from one of these hotels.
You can access the Hunter River (approx 200m) for fishing, swimming or explore the river by kayaking the 11km into Maitland or the 21km downstream from Luskintyre. Pickup/delivery could be arranged with notice.
Ride a pushbike along the backroads exploring the area, following on the bike paths, Walka Waterworks, historical buildings and points of interest in Maitland.
It’s an easy 15 minute walk down the lane or back into the shopping centre.
Whilst we welcome your pets, we ask that they are on a leash as there is cattle, sheep, horses, chooks and birdlife around us. Please pickup after them!
Your own toilet is a necessity.
Campfires (when conditions permit) are to be in the provided firepits.
Garbage and Recycle bins are provided.

Booking includes 2 cabins and an equipped campsite. You will have access to the entire property during your stay, complete privacy.
Staying here, you are completely hidden from any other man made structure, immersed in nature. The property is located less than 2 hours from Sydney, 20 mins from Cessnock and the Hunter wineries, adjacent to Sugarloaf Conservation area.
You'll love the morning and evening birdsong and be surrounded by the colour green by day. At night, be lulled by the music of the froggy symphonies, watch the moon rise over the forrest, and being mesmerised by the warmth and dancing light of a fire. Wallabies visit at dusk and dawn and a Koala has been heard calling at night.
A 1km drive from the main road leads to the open living space. There are two cabins, just within sight of each other, a campsite with an outdoor kitchen shed and a large oval lawn.
The Sky Cabin (blue) has a very comfortable queen size bed, a large deck, bbq, composting toilet, small equipped kitchen, solar lighting, hot and cold running water, an outdoor hot shower, and slow combustion fireplace inside.
The Earth Cabin has an exceptionally comfortable queen size bed, deck, composting toilet, solar lighting, a slow combustion fireplace inside and running water outside a short distance away.
If you want to include Belle tents in your booking rather than bring your own you have the option to add those to your booking and we will set them up for you with lighting included, though you will need to BYO beds and bedding.
The campsite adjacent to the shed has running water, an outdoor shower and outdoor toilet.
The property has short (circular) walks through the bush, and access to Sugarloaf Conservation area (with further walks and access to the Great North Walk). But its the ideal place to just chill.
Access from Brunkerville, keys can be picked up from a lockbox at the property gate.

The barn can accommodate sleeping for 10+ and features two double beds, two single beds, 8 stretcher tents, 3 couches, two air mattresses and 10 floor mattresses. There is also a fully equipped gym.
You will need to bring your own sheets, pillows, sleeping bag etc for added comfort. Sleeping close to the fire upstairs is recommended in the cooler months. Camping is optional with nice flat spots near the dam under she-oaks.
Our campsites are equally as beautiful.

Firewood is provided and you're welcome to
use the camp ovens and the rotating grill, but if you get stuck cooking on the open fire there is a microwave, electric hot plate and kettle. These are situated downstairs in the barn a short walk from site. A great swim in the 50m dam.

Relax and unwind at our Land For Wildlife property, Melaleuca @ One Mile a boutique hostel and car-free campground set on 6 acres of natural bushland in beautiful Port Stephens and only a 500m walk from the sparkling waters of magnificent One Mile Beach in Boat Harbour.
It is located just past Anna Bay village which is 2.5km away, and the entrance to Worimi Conservation Lands the largest moving Sand Dune system in the Southern Hemisphere, where you can 4WD, swim, surf, or enjoy a camel or horse ride.
We have off-street parking with the car park area alongside the only car-free campground in Port Stephens.
There is a limited space for Kombi vans/Rooftop campers; no tents are allowed in this section.
A large, open grassy area surrounded by tall melaleuca trees is perfect for pitching a swag or setting up a tent for camping.
You are not limited to a small site; you can use as much space as you desire, and we ask that guests respect others and give each other some room.
In addition to the camping area, there is a small off-street, shaded area for a small number of campervans.
There are no powered sites, and sorry, but we do not take caravans.
All guests have access to the facilities, including warm showers and toilets, a large Main building housing double kitchens with crockery and cutlery, toasters and kettles. There are indoor and outdoor covered seating areas, a free gas BBQ on the decked area, and free Wi-Fi.
The Tomaree Peninsula has 26 beaches with numerous walking trails, including the recently upgraded Tomaree Coastal Walk and plenty of water activities including Dolphin and Whale watching cruises, diving, surfing, kayaking, fishing and snorkelling.
Nelson Bay is 8 km from our site and the main tourist centre with plenty of restaurants and cafes, and there are more clubs and food options dotted around the peninsula.
Over the Winter months, we have small fire drums for hire; you will need to bring your own firewood. All fires must be contained and raised off the ground.

One of the best Hipcamp locations to date. The location itself was great, just a short walk to the tavern and beach. Campground was beautiful, lots of woodland areas surrounding the site and you are far away enough from other people that you don’t feel like you’re camping on top of each other. The host Andrew was great, showed us to our camp and checked in on us throughout our stay. We are already looking forward to coming back!

Had a great stay at Ripples. The owner was a really good bloke and super accommodating. the land is very well maintained and respected. It feels like you’re out in the middle of the bush, but you’re still only about a 15 minute walk from the pub and shops. The location is awesome, and we had a really good time staying there. Would definitely recommend and stay again

We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Great hosts, clear directions, beautiful outlook right on the river and lush freshly mown grass. Tucked in next to an enormous fig tree, we were a stone's throw to the jetty where we fished to our heart's content. We dined on whiting, bream and luderick...we also spotted a sting ray, and caught & released 2 eels and a turtle, so the river is teeming with life!

A beautiful spot! We loved our time at lake Mac. Host James was kind enough to show the kids the animals including sheep and the baby ducklings were a real treat for them. The site is very well kept and has a great view out to the lake. The hosts were very easy to deal with and we pulled straight in and set without any hassle. We will definitely be back again!

Fantastic place to stay. Friendly hosts (Millie the dog kept coming checking on us, or was it for the belly rub). Wish we had any night spare to stay to fish off that dock. The trees were magnificent so nice and shady.

This is a private and very convenient location. Walking distance to Anna Bay shops and Tavern.
Andrew was very helpful a fantastic host.
We enjoyed the privacy and the camel rides 2km away.
