Our Land is 70 acres of mostly native bush with large Karri trees surrounding the beautiful views of the Irwin Inlet. The area cleared is where the original Benson Family lived. The house was burnt down and they then left. We moved up here 40 plus years ago and have slowly cleared the area. We are only 7 kms to the wonderful Peaceful Bay where all amount of activities can be taken. Safe swimming, fishing, surfing and boating. The famous Tree Top Walk is approximately 20 kms away, with the local Bow Bridge Roadhouse 5 mins away.Also located at Peaceful Bay are the famous local fresh fish and chips. We are situated approximately half way between Walpole and Denmark. All of our sites have views of the Irwin Inlet. As we use dam water for watering our garden we do have open dams near by. Just wanted all guests to be aware of this. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Pets are allowed on leash. Campfires are allowed as long as they are in a contained drum unless there is a total fire ban. We would let you know if this was the case. We have fire pits to hire for $15

The track through the forest to the main campsite is about 3.5m wide, it can get a little slippery so caution is needed, a 4WD is recommended if towing a camper or caravan during the winter months. 2WD is ok in summer months. There is one transportable long drop toilet near site 1. There is a fire pit for cooking but other from that you have to be self sufficient. There is access to drinking water up at the house. Blackwood Ridge Nature Park is situated on the Roebank property and as party of the first settlement in this area, both Roebank and the neighbouring Peninsula House have historical significance in Bridgetown. The Roebank Cottage was built in 1890 by the grand-daughter of John Septimus Roe who was a famous civil engineer contributing to the original town planning of Perth City and Roebourne. In the early days, Roebank was used for livestock grazing and had the largest shearing shed this side of Bridgetown used by the neighbouring farmers. Over the years the property has been used as a pear orchard, goat farm and other small farming activities. You will be positioned overlooking our beautiful dam/lake from there is our gorgeous paddocks with cows, horses, and sheep. Your view extends to our beautiful Jarrah Forrest. You could fill your day with activities such as fishing for fresh marron or perhaps paddle on the lake in our paddle boat or kayaks. You could also go for walks around the property. It is also a lovely spot to just relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Leave no trace - there is no facilities here, guests will need to be self sufficient and bring their own camping toilet. There is no water or power provided. Please note we allow pets but the must be restrained as we do have working dogs on the farm - Happy for your dog/cat/budgie to enjoy our beautiful farm freely as long as they are happy with our four dogs. Our dogs are super friendly

*This property has 70 acres of lush Karri forest with the original old logging trails from approximately 100 years ago, which make for beautiful nature walks. The track through the forest to the main campsite is about 3.5m wide, it can get a little slippery so caution is needed, a 4WD is recommended if towing a camper or caravan during the winter months. 2WD is ok in summer months. There is one transportable long drop toilet near site 1. There is a fire pit for cooking but other from that you have to be self sufficient. There is access to drinking water up at the house. If the campsite is unavailable or you don't won't to drive through the forest, you are welcome to set up camp on the green pastures with great views but there are NO amenities there and you would have to be completely self-contained. We are approximately a 10 minute drive from the beautiful Greens pool and Elephant Rocks beach, and about 15 minutes' drive to the town of Denmark, WA. Pets on leashes are welcome. Blackwood Ridge Nature Park is situated on the Roebank property and as party of the first settlement in this area, both Roebank and the neighbouring Peninsula House have historical significance in Bridgetown. The Roebank Cottage was built in 1890 by the grand-daughter of John Septimus Roe who was a famous civil engineer contributing to the original town planning of Perth City and Roebourne. In the early days, Roebank was used for livestock grazing and had the largest shearing shed this side of Bridgetown used by the neighbouring farmers. Over the years the property has been used as a pear orchard, goat farm and other small farming activities. Today the property operates as a family hobby farm with short-stay accommodation along the river residences and nature park sites on the high points offering scenic views of the valley.

Lovely quiet little spot not too far out of Denmark, unfortunately didn’t see a good sunrise because of the weather but was happy with the camp, was sad I could only stay for 2 nights. Also I thought the toilet was perfectly fine, the people complaining about it have never been to a music festival, it was clean, flushable and had toilet paper! Only benefit would be some running water to rinse your hands after. The dogs are also very cute and it’s nice hearing the nature, bring ear plugs as the geese are quite loud🤣

We loved our overnight stop at the highway hideaway! Clear instructions on how to get there and beautiful signage welcoming you plus marking the site. Matt came over to say hello on his way out and he had moved the sign for our site so we had more privacy. Then Matt’s children came down to give us a welcome gift!! Absolutely yummy home grown, spray free veggies plus choccies and tinsel! Was a beautiful touch and we brought a plant from the kids stall. Loved the fairy garden and the lights, Christmas decorations and ducks!!

Words can't describe the beautiful setting. Perfect for kids as well. Fabulous sites with views of the dam and gently rolling lawns. Awesome host, friendly and helpful. We felt quite spoiled. Loved the gift of fresh vegetables. Huge sites, could be very private if needed. We will 100% stay again!

This was the perfect little getaway. Matt check in before our stay, provided us with directions that were really easy to follow. Our spot was great size and we had some freedom to position our van how we wanted. Matt came and checked in on us on arrival and brought us some lovely fresh vegetables from their garden. The place is a great family spot. There's swings, ring toss and a kid slide plus heaps of room for the kids and dogs to run away and not be bugging anyone. There's board games and books and a nice seating overlooking the dam. There's heaps of shade in the morning and afternoon but still good sun to charge the panels

Absolutely beautiful views, level sites that are so well laid out with lots of room and very easy to reverse into. Coffee, milkshakes, ice-coffee, cheese cake and burgers are all amazing- we stayed 3 nights so made the most of it. Staff are fantastic and polite. Would definitely stay again if we came back through

Stunning property. Peaceful hideaway surrounded by tall trees with open lawns overlooking dams. Easy access. Really spacious sites making it great for dogs and privacy. The host family obviously work hard to make it perfect. The grounds are maintained to a high standard and even organic veg as a welcome gift. There is also an easy nature walk through the Karri and Marri Trees and a bonus of a cellar door winery next door. Thanks for a perfect stay.
