We had the most amazing stay and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. It was the perfect getaway to relax, unwind, escape the busy work routine and spend some quality time together as family. The cabin was surprisingly comfortable and had everything we needed for a peaceful stay. Our 3 kids absolutely loved exploring, and even our dog, Zeus, had the best time! It was also such a treat to see cows, sheep and goats just over the fence which added to the beautiful country atmosphere. The generous supply of firewood was more than enough to keep us warm throughout our stay, making the cool evenings by the fire more enjoyable. Rachel and Rocky were exceptional hosts. They were friendly, welcoming, helpful and their communication was excellent. This was exactly the break we needed. We will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends and can’t wait to come back ourselves!

loved our stay here, the cabin is cosy with a great wood fire heater and owners supplied wood for the entire stay. the cabin has great sleeping facilities, and although rustic and off the grid, is fully kitted with what you need. Webber outside and portable gas fire cooker worked perfectly. owners have lights and candles throughout, got water for cleaning up and shower. perfect getaway. we stayed in the middle of winter, outdoor firepit looks incredible, just too wet during our trip to enjoy. while staying, you have complete privacy, and feel like you have your own slice of the bush, wildlife all around. thank you for a great getaway

We had the most wonderful weekend staying here and honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is absolutely beautiful – so peaceful, cosy and surrounded by stunning scenery. Waking up to the fresh country air and relaxing by the fire made it the perfect little getaway. The Geoff and Ann were incredible from start to finish. They were so welcoming, kind, helpful and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed and making us feel right at home. Their hospitality really made our stay extra special. You can tell so much love and care has gone into this place, and it made it so easy to switch off and relax. We left feeling refreshed (and a little sad to be leaving!). We can’t recommend this beautiful cabin enough and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for having us!

We loved our stay at Anne and Geoff's cabin. My son loved the open space, and the cow and sheep wandering through, plus the pond with goldfish. We definitely needed the indoor fire and the outdoor fire pit was lovely to have too. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all and have a digital detox :)

We had the most amazing stay! The cabin is so cosy and falling asleep to the crackle of the fire was so relaxing. We loved being off grid and exploring the bushland around. Ann & Geoff were so lovely and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend Blackwood Cabin for anyone wanting to slow down and reset from their busy lives. Great property, off grid with everything you could need to stay comfortable. We went with 3 kids under 12 who had a ball riding bikes, making a campfire, exploring and playing. Location is great and close to shops for any forgotten or last minute needs. Early morning there were cows, kangaroos and sheep just on the other side of the fence. Plenty of firewood and the hot shower was a great addition to the site. Hosts were outstanding, clear communicators and incredibly welcoming and helpful in the lead up to arrival.

Blackwood cabin is in such a beautiful spot, it was so peaceful to listen to the nearby river and birds. The cabin is very cosy with the fireplace inside and very well appointed. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and convenient. we really enjoyed our stay, Reception was so helpful and told us of the towns near by and also brought over our fire pit and wood. Very friendly and caring! The scenery was Amazing and we are sad we couldn’t get a spot for christmas time as it would be amazing. we are re booking in a few months to take our family. can’t wait to be back!! Amazing location
