Nestled on the banks of the Dumaresq River on the QLD/NSW border in Southern Queensland, between Yelarbon, Inglewood and Texas. 'Bushland Hideaway' is a rural property with approx. 1 km of river frontage and is the perfect spot for small or large groups of families to relax, unwind and get away from it all in natures own environment.
We offer clear blue skies during the day and starry skies at night, peaceful large grassy campsites beside the Dumaresq River surrounded by magnificent gum and oak trees shared with native wildlife. All our campsites are readily accessible for all types of vehicles, caravans or RVs.
We welcome quiet, respectful, nature-loving campers who enjoy all that Bushland Hideaway offers including fishing, swimming, canoeing, walking and bicycle tracks, photography etc.
Public waste bins are available at the entrance from the main road, Campfires permitted in designated fire pit areas when the season permits - please check. Firewood is available for sale or BYO.
Clean Porta Loo's or bush toilet's available at each site. Nearest dump point at Yelarbon -23 klm away.

Valley Heights camp paddock is about 350 acres for you to enjoy, whether you want to sit back and relax or go exploring. Maybe hike the surrounding hills or to the sunset lookout, (you can drive your 4WD if hiking is not your thing). Your doggo can swim in the dam as well. The surrounding area has many attractions to explore. Bonshaw Weir is only a 10 minute drive and Glenlyon Dam a scenic 35 minutes. Texas town caters to the traveler well with tourist attractions, a dump and water point as well as a well provisioned Foodworks and a number of cafes.

Greenup Meeting Place is a picturesque 50 acre property, with frontage on Bracker Creek and Coolmunda Dam. Our property is located near Inglewood, close to the Queensland border. Once home to Greenup School, the land is rich in history – the perfect place to put your feet up and unwind. Based in the middle to explore the Goondiwindi region and surrounds.
Our peaceful, non-powered campsites have plenty of room for singles, families and groups. We cater for tents, caravans, RVs and camper trailers. Our sites have access to toilet and shower facilities. Your closet dump point and water is in the township of Inglewood (25klms). Where you are able to top up for your needs.
Our dormitory style and family room accommodation is ideal for small and large groups of up to 50 people with shared toilet and shower facilities and a dedicated sitting room available. Fish the creek for Yellowbelly, Cod or just sit back, relax and enjoy the abundant bird and wildlife. Have a swim, go kayaking or take a walk to explore. Or why not join us for a coffee and meal at CC Cafe Thursday-Sunday!
Pet friendly yes, all pets are to be kept at your camp, on leash to walk and must be cleaned up after.
Generators are allowed, MUST be OFF by 8pm as a consideration to others.
Our gates close at 4PM if you are unable to be in by 5PM you will have to unfortunately arrive the following day.
Internet and phone coverage can very poor WELCOME TO THE BUSH.

Located 70kms from the Granite Belt. 50kms from the Coolmunda dam and 60kms from Texas. Quiet, hills with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
This is a grazing property where you can obseve sheep, cattle, and roos, and if you are lucky a few emus.
In the little dams and ponds they drink from you often see ducks and other waterfowl.
Gullies with ankle-deep spring-fed seasonal creeks. Are scattered thoughout the property. Pleasant to walk along, many accessed by walking or 4wd track only.
Trail bikes or pushbikes welcome.
There are great areas to hike, explore, and birdwatch. There is no light pollution so you see the amazing display of stars at night.
At the top of each hill is a pleasant view. Nice photos to show off on fb or instagram.
Campfires permitted, please make sure you put them out when not attended.
Water container top-up, shower, and toilet shed available And a power point to charge phone.
No internet. But if you must contact someone, do see us at the house.
We now have bush dunnies at various locations. They are long drops.
You're welcome to bring your pet, but please ensure they are kept on leash
To camp, most people just chose a cleared spot. Popular areas are near the sheaing shed, or emu hollow.
Sometimes we have pig hunters . They are down the back. Away from campers for your safety. When they are present some areas on photos are not accessable.
Accessable at all times:-
House paddock. shearing shed toilets showers, small dam. Hill with a view.
Emu Hollow, accessable by high clearence 2wd .it is in a paddock wih pleasnt views and down the bottom is small shallow pleasant creek to sit by and watch cows grazing . Great for a family group or couple to escape the city madness. it has a long drop dunny.
Both are 300 acres.
If no piggers, the whole 2500 acres is yours to explore.
If it rains, or you arrive too late to set up, we have a spare bed room with a double bunk sleeps 2 adjoining the shed near house $30.
per night to use.
You can also sleep in the shearing shed. And look at the equipent and fill a bag of manure for your garden.
We have a few freindly sheep. And you can toss your food scraps to our chooks.

An old Tobacco growing area, remnants of tobacco barns still in existence,
Saliet. (chalèt in Italian 'pronounced with an s not a ch') was the origional name for the majority of the property but expansion gave the smaller property name-Newfarm- the chance to shine.
A working cattle and sheep family property on the Dumaresq River the NSW/QLD border with irrigated farming country along the front with the mountains creating an amazing backdrop cradling the open country and facing off with the river along the western edge. We have a small vineyard and an operating winery and cellardoor with restricted hours offering wine tasting and if you are lucky enough to be there for our monthly pizza nights with the locals.
depending on our work load we have some sunday drop ins with cafe open for light meals or just cafes and coffee.
Just south of the Granite Belt wine country.
Glenlyon dam is just up the road. 70km west to Texas and east to Tenterfield
Opportunity to relax in the absolute peace and quiet while being just off the highway.
We do have a three bedroom house furnished which also has mobility issues covered as well. this site is near winery and not directly on the river as is the camping sites. Please ask if interested until I get it listed as a 'camp' site.
There is fishing, and other river activities, to be done as well as sightseeing local dams and towns... and relaxing (you are on holiday after all.)

Ben Falls, Goat Rock, Reedy Creek Winery and Zappers Winery are all close by as well.Campers must stay within the designated camping area whilst on the property.We have provided a fire pit for your enjoyment and can arrange firewood to be available upon request. My husband and I spent two nights here with our dog in our caravan. A beautiful, quiet spot that was full of wildlife! Incredible sunsets, dam swims, and total peace and quiet. Highly recommend, and such a cheap option!

This was our second stay at Bushland Hideaway by the River. Choosing The Great Divide for our recent stay was an amazing choice. There is plenty of shady trees, and sunny areas to recharge your solar. The grounds are very well maintained and you get the luxury of bush camping with a porta loo provided that is clean and stocked with toilet paper.
Anne & Phil are amazing hosts. They greet you at the gate and show you around, and then give you your privacy to enjoy your stay.
We cannot recommend this camp site enough. If you like peace, quiet, privacy, river swims, fishing, and the space to unwind from the daily grind then this place is perfect.
When next visiting the area, we will definitely be booking again.

Wow, this place is going to go close to my favourite Hipcamp.
Firstly, Susannah is so so helpful and kind. The generosity as a ‘first responser’ was overwhelmingly kind and while so appreciated- I absolutely didn’t expect it!
I thought from the pictures getting our 21ft van in might have been tricky but it was one ‘semi tight turn’ and the gentlest slop.
We swam and definitely recommend taking a kayak. Our 2 year old loved sitting at the waters edge with us for ‘water play’
There was one other camper there for a brief period but it’s like you’re in complete isolation and just perfect. No phone reception. Huge grass patch beautifully mowed.
The stars in the sky of a night are something to see for yourself.

Just spent 6 nights at Site 1 and what a wonderful site it is, plenty of room for us and our 2 dogs. Great access and also good access to launch the kayak and do some fishing. Would highly recommend this site for families, or just wanting to have enough space and not be near other campers. We will be back and be bringing along friends and extra family. The host Sussanah was also wonderful to speak to and very helpful with direction to our site.

I had a beautiful overnight stay at Glenarbon at Phil and Annes place. They met me at the main gate and drove me to the campsite - a cleared flat site right next to the river with an adjacent portaloo. There were some other campers a little further along the river who like me, kept to themselves and were quiet. I swam in the river and had a quiet restful nights sleep before getting up the next morning, having another swim and heading on my way. (I was travelling from QLD to SA)
I am really grateful for property owners like Phil and Anne for making their property available for the public to camp on. The camp spot was clean, felt really safe - particularly as I am a woman travelling solo, and the owners were readily contactable.

With a spontanous camping trip, this campground has qucikly become one of my new favourite spots which I have not been able to stop telling people about! From the size of you site, the access to the creek, and everything else you'd need right here. The staff have truly created a wonderful, respectful, and safe atmosphere for families, friends, and solo travellers alike. We had a great 6 day stay at Stones Corner, a proper country stay. The sites were huge we had 2 Ute's a camper and 2 swags still had a heap of room to move out of each others way.
The toilets were clean and well kept and nearly one to a site.
The river views from our site were great and nothing better to cool off in the afternoon with a swim.
The boys loved feeding the fish bait daily but only pulled 1 Carp out.
The fact that Phil & Anne let you drive the full length of the river inside their property is great.
Thanks for an awesome stay Phil & Anne we will be back.
Ps with only an hour to Gundy or 40 min to Texas it’s an easy explore to get supplies if you run out.
