Westways Wildflower Farm

Best pace I’ve stayed at in WA, nice friendly people, Shower and toilet was nice, and hot. We both loved it so much, we stayed another night, and no rush to leave. Try to go on the self drive flower tour, but was worried about the sand and I would get stuck, but the owner of the place said I would have made it. I said next time. It was so lovely there they, showed us the flower shed, beautiful flowers. We will be back there again

Wildflower wonderland

The campsite was rustic, and amenities adequate. The highlight was the guided self-drive 15km loop with detailed info about flora and geological features. The wildflowers were spectacular. Our host was gracious and informative. A pleasant overnight stay.

Our second time staying at Westways but first time when the wildflowers were out. Camping location is fantastic and the wildflower loop trail was incredible. Clive & Maureen are great hosts.

Awesome place to take your fury friend. Our dog loved the freedom to run around. This spot was next to the shed which was fine for us as we needed toilet facilities and a shower. Nice and tidy. Water was nice and hot. Our SUV just made it around the wildflower loop, some parts had very soft sand and our car isn’t 4x4. We just relaxed and enjoyed the scenery.

Bring your mozzie repellent… we got mauled from the second we got out of the car, and the Thermacell did nothing. The flies were also out and about. We decided on a secluded spot away from other campers, grass was long everywhere so didn’t really matter where you went. Hosts were lovely on arrival with their sweet Kelpie girl. It did us for the night but we were happy to pack up and head home.

Great sites plus spring wildflowers

We loved it here! Large sites, with sun or shade plus fire pits. And a pit toilet nearby. Level, sandy sites. The more expensive sites look lovely too. We did the self drive wildflower tour, which we highly recommend. The map is clear and the roads were very good when we went. We learned a lot from the info sheet that Maureen gave us. Lots of beautiful stars in the clear skies here. A very peaceful and relaxing stay :)

The location was private and the space was big with a lovely view out to gum trees. We oriented our van to look this way. The hosts were welcoming and Clive was very knowledgeable about the local wildflowers. Information about the wildflowers (including photos) and the local meteor crater were also available to read in the wildflower shed. The toilet and show at this site were very useful for our group as we had a caravan and a tent (4 adults and 2 dogs). I loved the feel of the more distant campsite also, and it is where I would stay if it was just my husband and I as we are quite self sufficient in our van. I believe it has some toilet facilities but no shower. The loop drive was interesting and will become even more so as even more flowers will come into bloom in the next weeks. The view from the lookout was far reaching and lovely. We will be back.

We stayed at Westways with a camper trailer and Caravan behind the shed’s 2 sites and had a mostly positive experience. The site itself is quiet and peaceful, and nicely out of the way - great for anyone to unplug and relax by the fire pit. Buy wood onsite, byo or do a bit of clean up for the hosts. That said, a few things are worth noting. The bathroom facilities weren’t clean and the hosts, Hugh & Maureen were a bit hard to get hold of when we arrived even though there are 2 mobile number’s listed at the shed. They were friendly when we did speak but communication could be improved. Also, some mowing of weeds would have made the site more comfortable. Also, while their doggos are very people friendly they are not great with other dogs that have to be on leads at all times. Something to be aware of if you’re travelling with pets. Overall, I’d recommend Westsways if you’re after a low-key, off the beaten track experience- just go with the right expectations.

Extremely amazing hosts!!

Loved our stay at Clive and Maureen's farm stay. We had a dilemma with our gazebo being absolutely destroyed by the weather and they were nothing but helpful when we came back to see the camp destroyed! Was very accommodating and helped us immediately with solutions to save the night 😅 Would happily stay here again, the camp-site was great with all the amenities you need and lots of privacy! The two friendly dogs were defs a plus too 🫶

The area like last time was brilliant, Clive was extremely helpful and caring due to the bad weather that put a dampener on our weekend, however everything worked out well considered. Highly recommended this place for a weekend getaway. Very friendly and helpful people

The Shed campsite is great for testing your set-up, with toilets and a shower nearby if required. The site provides privacy when the flower shed is not being used, but of course, it is a working area some times during the day and more frequently other times of the year, so bear that in mind. I'll be keen to come back and stay in the more reclusive camping areas in future trips, but the shed site is not one of my priorities to return to. We chose this site to introduce our kids to camping and sleeping in tents. It was also a good opportunity to educate them on the safety of camping and being near/cautious of wildlife. Sadie (The owner's dog) is a lovely visitor and very well-behaved. Thanks for having us, we'll see you again soon!
