This is a new listing by cautious first-time Hosts looking for sustainable low-impact opportunities to share and affordably maintain and improve our beautiful property. Billabong Bush Camp offers a beautiful natural native bush block not far from tranquil bays and rolling beaches of the Turquoise coast. We accept one group at a time, guaranteeing complete privacy. There are several lovely camping areas to choose from, some closer to the billabong, and others tucked into nooks amongst the beautiful flora. There is a toilet, and access to potable rainwater (upon request). We can also offer access to power for a small additional fee. Our 160 acres of uncleared Land, dotted with pockets of pasture is nestled in the heart of what once was traditional Yuet (people) Country. The beautiful undulating bush is fed by a series of freshwater springs and first settled in WA pioneering days along an original telegraph post line and stock shepherding route in and out of Perth. Today, it is conveniently set in the heart of the Midwest coast where the bush meets the Beach surrounded by National Parks and Marine Reserve in the Shire of Dandaragan. Here, you'll find a nature lovers' paradise rich in native flora and fauna, abundant with seasonal wildflowers, plentiful birdlife, and unique Australian mammals and reptiles.Completely private bush camp, where mother nature is the absolute star of the show. We accept one group at a time, ensuring you have the space to yourselves. You are also welcome to choose where you wish to set up from several options we can suggest. Whilst the dam spot is a favourite option, at the tail end of winter, when the heat starts to return, there is a short period where there can be mosquitos on dusk around the dam. As an alternative if you wish, we have a clearing tucked further away from the water that is just as beautiful. Search for echidnas nestled in the scrub, watch the splendid blue wrens hurry about their day, sit back, relax and enjoy the birdsong. Please note you need to be totally self sufficient with camp toilets and drinking water and there is no access to amenities or drinking water. There are powered and unpowered sites available. Fire pits supplied access to timber for collecting and pickling on site. Please leave nothing behind but your footprint

Billabong Bush Camp
My husband and I stayed two nights although we booked for three. We left early as rain was scheduled for the last night/morning and we didn’t want to have to pack up a wet camper trailer. The property was gorgeous. Nice flat clear land for our camper trailer but lots of trees for shelter, with a beautiful view towards the coast. We didn’t see another person the whole time we were there. Peaceful and exceptionally private. There is even a fire pit which we used for a fire on the second night. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Thank you Lee-Anne! Communication and instructions were perfect and we (family of 4 with 1yo and 4yo) had a great 3 nights here :) had an exploratory drive around and circled back around to set up at the second fire pit and not too far from power. Great spot for sunrise and sunsets. Perfect spot for a base and 25-30min drive to Cervantes/Jurien Bay coastline. Some considerations: majority of the areas we explored were on an incline and so bit of compromise if setting up tents. Probably time of year and an unexpected 34 degree day but we did encounter some ticks so would recommend having some DEET/tick repellant and treatment options available.

We had a fabulous stay at Billabong Bush Camp. A beautiful, tranquil spot with so many options of where to camp - we were thoroughly spoilt for choice! Loved having the whole place to ourselves, as it gave us real freedom to explore and meant the kids could get straight outside to play, even when they woke up at 5.30am! The wild flowers were stunning and there were many little water holes to discover on our walks and bike rides. If you can tear yourself away from the camp, the Pinnacles, Jurien Bay and Lesuer National Park are in easy reach and well worth exploring. Communication with Lee-Anne was great and everything was explained really well. Thanks for a lovely stay, can't wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our camping here. We had the whole little farm to ourselves and it was lovely to have lots of choices for open spaces. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. It was fun walking around and visiting the few billabongs they have on the property. Will definitely stay again.

We loved this place so much we didn’t want to leave. There was a great selection of places you could pitch and great views especially from the higher ground. We saw Roos and Frogs and insects galore. Apparently the are echidnas but they stayed elusive this time. The night sky was amazing out here too. The Host Lee-Anne was so lovely, welcoming us to her little patch of heaven and helping us with finding places to visit around the local area too. I look forward to the next time we visit WA so we can stay here again.

A lovely spot of nature that we stopped by on our trip northwards of Perth. It feels very private and tranquil. We drove a larger campervan which struggled on some parts of the track, but this was after a few days of wet weather. The host was easy to communicate with when we called.

A perfect place to escape from Perth for a long weekend (or more). We visited in winter, when the country and farmland was lovely and green. Cervantes/Pinnacles and Jurien Bay are all within 25 mins drive - but why leave such a peaceful beautiful farm? A stroll around the property revealed different fauna at almost every turn. Our hosts (Lee-Anne/Terry) were excellent, with clear communication and recommendations. Also a great place to practice with your new camper/caravan.

We had such a wonderful time away for 4 nights just after Easter. So nice to be able to explore the property, sit on the cabin veranda and watch the sun go down and wake up to the views of surrounding farms. Nice and close to Cervantes and Jurien bay for day trips to The Pinnacles, stromatolites, The Lobster Shack and Kakka Alley Brewing Co. Communication with Lee-Anne was quick and easy.

What a wonderful campsite this is. We only stayed for 1 night, but enjoyed every minute of it. Younalmost get the whole farm for yourself, how amazing. The sunset was so good! We can only say thank you Lee-Anne for a great spot!

Beautiful spot to stay in the wilderness. Very remote, nothing and no one around. Hosts made everything very easy. Would absolutely recommend and hope to come back again from Perth one day.

We loved camping at this site, was easy to find using Google maps and the directions provided by the host. Was a lovely, relaxing night with plenty of stars to look at. Particularly enjoyed the great views of the wind farms on the way out

So many different sites to camp, and the whole place to yourself. Suggest finding a spot with a view of the setting sun, it is spectacular. The hundreds of black cockatoos leaving the area just on dusk is another amazing site to see. Fantastic place to set up a base camp, away from the crowds, but close enough to be on the beach in 20 minutes.
