Very peaceful , but not far from civilisation/shops and tourist attractions . Chrissy, Judy and their furry family were extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Was nice not being in another caravan park on top of everyone else. Will definitely be staying again 🤩

A wonderful getaway for our family of four. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Bendigo, whilst also spending quality time relaxing at Chrissy’s campsite sanctuary. Great facilities and our kids especially loved petting your gorgeous dogs!!!

This is a lovely quiet place with only 4 sites. Great to have a flushing toilet available. We didn't use the gas heated rustic shower but it looked fine. Handy for visiting Bendigo. The dogs are really friendly.

We got to Chrissy’s place and were welcomed by her and Daz. She showed us to our spot and all the facilities and everything we needed to know. Was a great stay and well set up. We will definitely be staying here again 😍 10/10

Chrissy's land was incredible. Very local to town but once you return to your camp site you feel like you in the middle of the bush. Hot shower and toilet available and friendly pets that greet you at the gate. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great location and host Chrissy. Plenty of room, property is well kept. Daz the resident Staffie, greats you with a smile every morning and throughout the day. Amenities are clean and the warm shower is a welcome treat after a day in the bush. Close to town which has everything you need.

Loved it. Great host. Well maintained camp ground. Toilet and outdoor shower facilities provided. Lots of birds around . Felt secure and safe . Close to the cbd but still feel like out in the woods. Also the dogs are friendly and funny.Will camp there again.

Absolutely loved staying here thank you so much Chrissy. The dogs are amazing and well behaved dogs if you don’t have dogs or don’t like them don’t stay because they just want pats and to keep guard. It’s super close to town if you get a chance stop into eagle hawk bakery the old one any pie from there is amazing.

My friend and I loved to stay on Chrissy's property. Chrissy has been very welcoming. Everything is well maintenained. The paddock is very quiet. Chrissy has lots of beautiful dogs who will come and visit you in the morning.

We left a day earlier than paid for! Many reasons, the main one being that it was such a run down site. We are all for rustic, off grid and basic camping but this was just run down and fairly neglected. The owner’s dogs were a nuisance, especially the big one which would not leave us alone and rubbing his backside over the grass right outside our tent. There is a toilet which was well kept and a very basic shower. We were hoping to be camping in Whipstick Forest, alas this campsite is actually on the outskirts of Eaglehawk, not far from a noisy traine line. So as much as we were looking forward to our stay, we were rather disappointed with this not so hip camp.

This is an awesome spot with easy access into Bendigo.
We were very comfortable on Site 2, and stayed for the long weekend.
All the sites are very spacious, clean and provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Chrissy was a great communicator and made us feel very welcome, along with her Mum (Judy). We received very clear instructions to navigate our way there.
The dogs and cat are very friendly, loved their daily visits.
We highly recommend Whip Stick Forest, heaps better than a Caravan Park!

Camping at Site 3 Powered at Whip Stick Forest was an excellent experience, thanks to the well-maintained facilities and the serene natural surroundings. What and amazing campground. We took a tent and had a lovely little shaded spot to set up in. Chrissy is a great host and the facilities are very nice. Just a short drive to Bendigo city centre we found this a great alternative to a hotel to get out and explore!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Close to shops/ services, easy access, flat sites, and the bonus of a good shower and toilet. Chrissy obviously enjoys being a host and was super helpful with local info and allowing us to meet her pets. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time!
Chrissy was super accommodating.
When we arrived, it was quiet windy, and she had an alternative means of accom ready for us if the winds picked up.
We were super comfy, and was lovely and open with clean amenities.
Don't even get us started on DAZ! We're still reeling over the fact that we didn't "accidentally" put him in the car and bring him home💕

It was a lovely place with charming animals and the hosts were very welcoming and kind. Chrissie went out of her way to help provide a charge of our electric car. The toilet is a really neat and clean cottage loo, and the outdoor shower has an opening to look out at the sky. Thanks for the stay!
