North East Vic is a tourist mecca, with food and wine, lakes and rivers, cycling and markets, mountains and waterfalls. - We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 20 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. Please read the whole listing, lots to tell you about us. Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.**** We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites. Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there. Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district. The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive! Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo. 8kms to Moyhu which has a pub, coffee shop, general store - all with great food options. You can get petrol, take away, gas etc.

Set in a quiet cosy corner of a valley, out the back of our farm, Fig Tree Gully has only 3 campsites. No house lights, no crowds, and no passing traffic. - Fig Tree Gully Campsite No 3 is next to a dry gully, this campsite is our smallest, 110m from campsite 2 with no line of sight - giving you privacy. This site has more slope making it more suitable for camper trailers or small vans Reverse in for vans and trailers. Afternoon shade, fire pit and plenty of wood to gather. BYO water; leave no trace. All campsites have ample car parking. - Kids under 5 free. Dogs welcome with responsible owners. Toilet - the "Throne Room" is furnished with porta-loo toilet, kitchen sink and unfiltered rain water available for boiling. Cleaned daily. We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to use the creek side pot-belly brazier, the BBQ and lawn area.  ~^~^~^~^ Campsites are accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. Great for family get togethers and groups of friends, campsite 1 has lots of room - plenty of space for chairs around the fire. Campsite 1 is near dry gully AND a dam with-no-fence, 110m from campsite 2. Drive through for larger vans. Along with 1 camper trailer/19 foot caravan you can easily fit in a few tents on the limited flat ground. We estimate 14 -16 people can fit, but we are flexible on numbers. Best for bookings of 4 or more. Less than 4? Please choose site 3. Afternoon and morning shade, fire pit and plenty of wood to gather. BYO water and leave no trace. Fig Tree Gully Campsite No 2 is next to a dry gully and un-fenced-dam, this campsite is 110m from campsites one and three. This site is more sloping making it more suitable for camper trailers. We have comfortably fit 4 adults in two camper vans, 4 kids in tents on campsite 2 (see photos), but we can be flexible on numbers.  ***This site has a slope entrance. You will need a 4 wheel drive during wet periods and from April to October with longer grass making it slippery. ***Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - slowly. ***Kids under 5 free. The Hut area is an open site shared with 3 other groups. This site is further most from the road and has a nice corner to itself. There is enough room for two vehicles and 4 tents or two small vans. - There is NO shade at all. Own private fire place and fire wood will be available for you to collect. Shared porta-loo toilet is supplied, and water to extinguish fires at your campsite. The Hut site has views over the northern end of the King Valley, through to Mt Buffalo. BYO drinking water.

Site 2 next to Fig Tree Gully.
A great place to camp. Quiet, isolated and super beautiful surroundings. There is 2x other sites nearby but they're far enough apart and separated by trees that your site feels private. The swimming hole near the house is a bonus on hot days and the flushing toilet close to the camp sites is amazing. Stewart and Gayle pop by everyday to say hi and make sure the fire water containers are full. Definitely going to stay here again and for longer next time.

Had a great time staying at Stewart & Gayle's property over the weekend. We had the place to ourselves which was great. Directions are clear making for an easy arrival. Rough dirt track to get in but nothing to serious and makes for part of the adventure winding over the scenic hills. Would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

We loved our weekend at Thotnbridge. It's a great spot with so much to do nearby. Stewart and Gayle were very helpful. I would highly recommend 🤠

Our group of 4 loved our experience at Thornbridge. Site 3 was perfect tucked away at the end of the track, plenty of firewood and so helpful to have the fire water topped up daily. Thank you Stewart and Gayle for having us!

A peaceful setting tucked away on the back of a farm, away from the busy public camp sites of King Valley. Only 20mins drive to the King Valley brewery and local wineries, it's a great option for a group to setup a private camp and relax for the weekend. A shoutout to Stewart and Gayle who were great hosts, checking on our needs each day and also greatful for the water top up when our tank got a bit low. Look forward to coming back again in the future.

The camp site was ideal (although not very flat). Lots of birds which added to the relaxing mood of my trip. Generous site spacing and well maintained toilet were wonderful features of the site. I hope to go back soon and enjoy a relaxing weekend of chilling out and enjoying nature. Plenty of firewood around which made the nightly fires easy to organise. Wonderful friendly hosts (Stewart / Gayle) - very welcoming!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect campsite for our first camping trip since becoming a family. We camped with our 2.5yr old and 10 year old staffy. Helpful and lovely hosts, big private sites with lots of distance between sites (there was a family with 4x camper trailers next to us and we barely noticed them, and just the amenities that help make camping that much easier: the cleanest communal dunny, sink, water, ample fire wood and fire water topped up daily. We escaped the heat with a trip to the lake, river and even snuck a winery in. No problem getting to and from the site with our 2WD and trailer. It rained out last night/morning but left without issue once the rain cleared. Can't wait to make it a regular trip!

I loved camping at Stewart and Gayle’s farm. My dog and I spent every day at the swimming hole, exploring the surrounding paddocks, looking at the sweet little calves and we even spotted a wallaby on sugarloaf peak 😁 plus slipped in a day trip to Myrtleford. Highly recommend for solo, couple and group travellers.

The camp site was set at the back of the property offering the seclusion we were looking for. Stewart and Gayle were lovely people and only came to check on us settling in and refilling the water for us. The toilet was a short trek from site 3 but kept clean and maintained.

Staying at Stewart's and Gayle's property was great! It was very private and it was fantastic having a clean toilet and water available close by. They were very friendly and welcoming hosts. I would highly recommend staying there

We had a great stay at Thornbridge .. it is a well maintained property that enhances the natural beauty of the landscape whilst supporting a working farm . You are to the rear of the property which gives you the feel of true off grid camping - the only sound is the crackle of the campfire & the frogs & birds! Maybe there’s a wine bottle opening & cheese platter and campfire cooking alongside the relaxed chat to contend with the wildlife… 😀 The hosts pointed out lots of things to see and do in the area & on the property - you really need more time to fully explore (or just relax!). We will be back.

We moved to site 1 which was excellent. we had the place to ourselves. the facilities were great and clean. there is a beautiful walk you can do up on the hill. It was lovely to have space for the dog to run around and really enjoyed the countryside. everything was so green!

This is a fantastic spot to come away. So much space and so peaceful. Beautiful property and amazing views. We met Gayle and she was lovely and very welcoming. If you have dogs we can not recommend this stay enough. We will definitely be back. 😊

My friends and I loved camping on site 2 next to the gully. It was such a Beautiful property and being able to walk the hills and view the grass trees was amazing! We saw some great sunsets while we were there and felt very relaxed. Stewart and Gayle provided heaps of firewood and the toilet was very well maintained and clean. The neighbouring campers were far enough away that our site felt very private, but the shared facilities allowed us to say hi which was nice. A wonderful property and we will definitely recommend!!

The camping area was great plenty of room for our large group. 4 vans and 4 swags. 13 people and 2 dogs. View beautiful & Hosts were great very friendly. Love the toilet.
