Beautiful property, 2 options for where to set up camp, very private spots. Host was super accomodating, and only 20 minutes from Lorne. Would definitely camp here again.

Great private spot in absolutely beautiful bushland. We camped at the second spot down the hill.
Compost toilet, fire pit and dog friendly made for a perfect little getaway for our group of 5. Super close to Otways NP, Lorne and Deans Marsh and really easy to get to from Melbourne. A rare find in that area! Kylie was great, very responsive.
It was a bit wet, but that’s the Otways - no fault of the owners.
BYO firewood if you want some long burners.
Will 100% come again.

Amazing, secluded and peaceful. The perfect retreat amongst the gum trees.
Whoever wrote the review about feeling "unsafe" is a fruit loop. This is camping in the bush at its best. You have the whole site to yourself and Kylee is a legend who takes care to make sure you are settled in.
We loved our stay. The drop toilet was a bonus! It's clean and serene. Short drive into Lorne is beautiful. Would definitely go back again.

We had a beautiful stay at Kylie’s camp over the weekend.
The area was easy to find and perfectly tucked away in the natural landscape- we absolutely loved it! We could move the fire wherever we needed, which meant we could really make ourselves at home.
Kylie was extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.
Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back again!

We loved camping at Tall Trees Otway. The site was beautiful and clean, it felt amazing to be surrounded by such gorgeous nature and Kylie was so lovely and kind. The toilet facilities were very clean and our pup had a great time exploring.

This was one of the best camp sites i have been, there is plenty of parking space due to the 2 options of camp sites, the ground is very flat and perfect for multiple tents! the toilet is in the best condition i have seen at a place like this and Kylie was very happy to help when one of our car’s battery died. overall i would recommend for anyone and will be back again

Kylie's campground is beautiful. Secluded, yet so close to Dean's Marsh and Lorne. The campground was perfect for our two groups (15m apart, close enough to walk comfortably but far enough for privacy). Thanks for sharing your gorgeous property with us!

On choosing Tall Trees, I contacted Kylie to confirm we could fit our 2 groups. We had 2 x 4WDs, 2 x 5m long offroad campers and 8 people in total. We were advised there were 2 suitable sites only about 15m from each other, flat and could fit our cars and campers. We liked the reviews and the location.
On arrival, both groups were suprised and concerned. It was very isolated and no view out, surrounded by thick trees. The sites were directly adjacent to the entry road which requires a 4WD and is quite steep. The sites were small and fairly flat. The first site had an old delapidated bus and a shipping container next to it and there was a whole heap of building materials/ iron stacked nearby. My teen children explored around the bus while the adults had a conversation about the unsafe feeling we had about the location. The children told us that the bus was open and had a mattress, was really creepy and 'trapdoor' in the bottom of the bus. They renamed the bus the 'r-bus' and that made our decision clear to leave immediately and find an alternate site.
We feel we were misled by the host about the site size and misled by the previous reviews which were positive.
I have never left a negative review and feel sad about it. The site was surrounded by trees and very isolated, very steep- so those reviews are accurate. We felt unsafe which is why we left within 5 minutes of arrival.

Overall it was quiet and peaceful place. However size of the site for us ( 2 caravans) was much smaller than expected. Was expecting a view from our camp spot but this was not the case.

The campsite was tight with a bus taking up the site. In the middle of nowhere with no views and lots of corrugated iron lying around. We booked 2 nights but did not stay. We had to book another Hipcamp down the road.

Very nice spot on the tent side of the site. lovely views and very quiet. felt very private which is the key point of choosing these sites. you effectively have 2 camping options on 2 different sites if your set up is not to big or the weather allows flexibility. we had a great time.
