Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Nestled in the hinterlands of Lorne, a short 5 min drive to the beach & shops. The campsite is in the heavily wooded and hills aplenty. A short drive or walk to Erskine Falls. Campfires are permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place—plenty of wood around to gather your own. Dogs are welcome, but they must be well-controlled at all times. Toilet available. Tank water available. Gravel road, and it is very hard for 2WD vehicles to access. 4WD recommended as the last 200m is very steep. 4WD caravan ok, camper trailers & tents.In the hinterland of Lorne amongst the gumtrees, Erskine Heath is a small self-contained Off-Grid Cabin.  There is a shelter with tables/chairs and a fire pit. Relax amongst the Koalas and Kookaburras during the day and at night listen to the sound of waves rolling in Loutitte Bay (Lorne Beach). Hot showers from the rain water tank. Two nights minimum stay.
