Yindilli Camping Ground is set amongst some of the most beautiful open eucalypt forests and rainforests of north Queensland and is located on the CREB Track, a popular 4WD tourist route. Nearby is the iconic Roaring Meg Falls. The track is not suitable for towing caravans. We are 38klms from Daintree Village on the CREB Track (also known as Upper Daintree Rd) and it will take about 2.5hrs to drive as the road is unsealed, steep in sections and narrow. Be aware of weather conditions before travelling on this road as minimal rainfall can make the track slippery. An alternative route to Yindilli Camping ground is from the northern end of the track from Bloomfield via the China Camp Rd or the Zig Zag Track - both meet up with the CREB Track. We are 27klms from Bloomfield or 1 hour to drive, this section is graded regularly and easy to traverse in the dry season.The campsites have access to a freshwater creek for swimming and relaxing. The birdlife is abundant, including the occasional glimpse of a Cassowary. Camp sites are on 2.5ha of lush green lawns, lots of shade and within metres of a fresh water creek for swimming and relaxing. Facilities include: septic toilets, showers, dry firewood (on request) and spacious sites Children and pet friendly. Yindilli Camping Ground
Me and my wife enjoyed some much needed relaxation and connection to earth here. The camp hosts Helen and CJ treated us like family. We enjoyed experiencing a smoking ceremony, followed by enjoying home made damper, tea and coffee. We were then led on an amazing rainforest walk, being taught about local plants and culture along the way. If you want to experience a land full of good energy, peace and quiet, this is the place.

The property is beautiful! Very peaceful and tranquil, ideal for a weekend escape. CJ and Helen are fantastic hosts and have a really cute puppy!

We absolutely loved our stay at Yindilli, Helen and CJ couldn’t have been more welcoming. It was totally worth the drive, and we will definitely be back. With a beautiful rainforest , well kept camp ground and a little creek we were in a little oasis. We did the Rainforest walk with CJ and highly recommend added this to your road trip. This has been our highlight of our trip so far. Disconnect to reconnect with nature. This place should be on your list if you are travelling through.

Such a beautiful spot and CJ and Helen were great hosts. We were the only campers on a school holiday long weekend. I would definitely reccomend this amazing place.

Absolutely amazing place! Cj and Helen are so lovely and accommodating. Would 100% do the rainforest walk with Cj, it really is an experience of a life time. Defiantly worth going off the beaten track to visit.

Perfect Easter weekend at Yindilli, two other small groups so it all felt very private and quiet and serene. CJ sharing lots about the land we stayed on and his Country. Perfect spot for friendly dogs, lots of roaming and swimming and space to play! CJ and Helen have installed toilet & cold shower, it’s all you need!

Great campsite. Very peaceful. Well maintained camping area with great toilet and (cold) shower facilities. Close to beautiful little creek with swimming holes in easy walking distance. Owners are lovely people and very helpful. Will definitely be back.

Ideallic rainforest camp location and open grasslands, with access to the creek to look for yabbies. Had a beautiful feel to it. CJ and Helen are generous hosts and lovely people. The rainforest walk was really special and insight into KuKu Yalanji culture. Would love to do the caterpillar walk next time, and will come back for it one day. Directions were vague, was an adventure accessing the camp even in dry season, with a few long creek crossings. camper-vans be wary. Lots of 4wds passing by to assist, all friendly and happy to help.

Best camping spot ever,Cj and his wife are so nice,and shared stories and smoking ceramony.alsi made a amazing damper that lasted us for days.we did the creb track as that's where it starts. We will tell people about this place and the hosts.BEAUTIFUL DRIVE THERE CPL NICE Creek CROSSINGs.cj knows the Daintree alot better than any tour you go on ..great bloke

Beautiful rustic camp

Yindilli Camping Ground
Yindilli Camping Ground was an idyllic place to stay with our family. The grounds are stunning, access to a beautiful crisp river and amazing stars far away from the light pollution of civilization. Colin and Helen were lovely and very hospitable. No cooking utilities but we made and excellent roast in the fire and didn't miss the stove. Bring plenty of water for drinking and take your rubbish with you.

Life changing experience

The most incredible camp spot along the CREB track, with the most amazing hosts, Helen and CJ are amazing people and want to share as much as they can with you. Coming here for 3 nights is something i will remember for life, what an incredible experience and people. Thank you so much.

Beautiful slice of the Daintree
Yindilli Camping Ground
Beautiful little corner of the Daintree, had the entire camp to ourselves! Colin and Helen where very friendly and welcoming, spent a bit of time with Colin learning his story and some interesting facts about the Daintree! They have pfuture plans to keep upgrading there facilities. Would highly recommend!!
