Warumbul Balonne River Camp
Beautifully positioned just above the banks of the Balonne River, our site was carpeted in lush grass and our hosts were friendly and very knowledgeable about local life.

This was our second stay and this time we had the place to ourselves. It is a great place to stay just on the outskirts of St George, and Cristy was very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Adam and Christy take a lot of pride in providing a spacious, beautiful and well maintained space. Their property backs onto the river and a very short drive to town. I would highly recommend this stay.

Fantastic spot with great proximity to the town centre. The sites are well maintained and spacious and Adam has created and Christy have created a unique rustic camp kitchen/man cave that you can spend hours in looking at old memorabilia.
An added bonus was Russell, the very inquisitive and highly entertaining emu.

Really enjoyed the camp. Lovely green grass to set up on. Plenty of space and surrounding camp fixtures were interesting. Great nightly fire in happy hour area, even with a TV. Close to town. Cristy was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Warumbul Balonne River Camp
Warumbul, another gem right beside the Balonne River. Only a few minutes out of St George, super easy and well communicated directions from our wonderful host Cristy.
The camping areas are great and level, with the surrounding grounds sprinkled with quirky sculptures made from all kinds of materials, very rustic!
Feeding Russell the emu was a highlight, though we quickly learned from Cristy to keep our distance from the rather grumpy old ram!
Cristy lit the communal campfire that evening, a lovely chance to chat with fellow travelers!
Would definitely so here again!

Nice quiet spot very close to town. Cristy is very welcoming and has done a great job creating an excellent campsite. The fire in the evening was lovely. Highly recommended and fantastic value for money.

Warumbul Balonne River Camp
This was an amazing camp! Our families really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts (Adam and Cristy) are such beautiful people. They will spend the time getting to know you and taking the kids out to play with the farm animals. Our kids were able to bottle feed a little lamb and feed the cheeky emu. The sites are huge and nice and grassy. The river view is amazing! I highly recommend this camp. Thank you Adam and Cristy for a great stay!

We had a fabulous stay at Adam & Christy’s property, from the welcomed green grass, flat site, homely hospitality and relaxing environment. Would highly recommend, less the 5 mins into town.

We booked 2 nights accommodation and ended up booking another night as soon as we got there. Adam, Cristy and their kids were so welcoming and friendly. The camp kitchen area was very useful and clean and they had the fire pit going for us each night. Will definitely be back! 😃

Great location, 2 minutes out of town. Right on the river. Flat and grassed area. Excellent camp kitchen with fireplace. Would definitely recommend.

Great spot 💙 just out of St George, camp kitchen was great 💙 seeing Russell the Emu and the new lambs in the paddock
The owners were very friendly even watching the football with us by the communal fire .

Adam & Cristy are wonderful hosts, taking time out of there busy day to sit by the camp fire and tell us the history behind their land. Extremely quiet, just loved the animals. Can’t wait to return 😊

As new campers we found Adam and Cristy very welcoming. Although the sites are unpowered they have made every effort to make the stay very enjoyable with communal cooking and washing area, communal fire pit to sit and yarn with other travellers.
Highly recommend and we will return.
Thank you guys for making our stay relaxing.

Adam and Cristy are amazing hosts and made you feel so welcome, they were happy to share some stories with us.
We loved the allocated space each site had.
The location beside the river was amazing and you can throw a line in.
We would highly recommend this property.

Adam and Cristy’s campsite was exquisite, we had a lot of fun. The riverside campfire was gorgeous and sunset and the camp kitchen was very accommodating, providing a fridge, kettle and electricity (great for non-campervan campers). Would recommend!

Quiet camp on the river. Only 4 sites must be self contained. Very short walk to the river for fishing, yabbies, kayaks and swimming, was a bit cool for that this time. Adam and Cristy are very welcoming, lit the fire and cooked dinner with us. Would certainly stay here again.

Couldn’t do better, just brilliant!
Adam & Cristy have put a lot of time into their place. Very clean & tidy everywhere. If happy with free camp, do yourself a favour and miss the caravan park. 5 mins drive from town, just over bridge along the river. Rates here was awesome, 4 grassed sites, best big fire pit so not being able to have a personal fire pit, not a problem. Adam fires up the communal fire pit around 3pm and Cristy & Adam join us each night for a drink. Best camp kitchen, basic fridge, microwave etc but so much interesting farming memorabilia around and also wrought iron sculptures in garden.
In near future they will have their antique baths set up on a deck for a lovely hot bath. Facility is fenced off separately to their sheep (baby lambs currently) & resident Emu.
Big river 300m walk down an easily accessible bank, fishing great if lucky. We got a yellow belly.
Camp only open during cooler months as too hot for summer.
Thanks heaps Adam & Cristy, loved our stay and we’ll be back!

What a wonderful peaceful spot! Grassy sites that look straight out to the river. Only 4 vans in total. Quirky camp kitchen area full of sheep related farming implements. I loved that Adam and Cristy took the time to sit around the fire with us and chew the fat.

Adam and Cristy are great hosts. The camp kitchen is well set up and Adam had the camp fire and cooking fire lit for us. It’s lovely being right on the river.
