Narline is a small white Dorper sheep family operation that is situated 22km west of Dirranbandi , 80km south west of St George and 80km south east of Bollon. Narline Lakes is a perfect base to explore the region due to its central location to the Balonne shire, with Bollon to west, Hebel to the south, Thallon to the east and St George to the north, you can discover what the Balonne shire has to offer, all with in an hours drive. Narline lakes are seasonal and filled from the Culgoa river during the wet periods. Dry or full, there is an abundance of bird life that can be observed. Dirranbandi is 20min away, it has all the conveniences including service station, grocery store and hospital. All campers must be self sufficient and bring their own toilet. There is an endless supply of firewood that you may collect for your site. Pets are allowed but must be restrained as we do not want to disturb our wildlife and livestock.

You can walk, bird watch, swim or kayak (when lakes are full) or just sit back and soak up the country atmosphere. Campers must be self-sufficient and bring their own toilet. Please note this is a working sheep and cattle property, there will be livestock roaming at times in the vicinity, make sure your pets are controlled. Please respect the native wildlife and please report feral cat or foxes. Fishing nets and hunting not permitted.

Malcolm was a great host. Really friendly. Met us at the gate and showed us around letting us pic a site we liked. Really peaceful. kangaroos, emus, echida and birds.

What an absolute gem of a bush Hipcamp! 🌿⭐ If you’re looking to switch off, enjoy peace and quiet, and soak up the beauty of the Aussie bush, this place is perfect. The campsite was private, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The scenery was stunning, the sunsets were unreal, and waking up to the sounds of nature was something special. The hosts were welcoming and made us feel right at home while still giving us plenty of space to enjoy the experience. A great spot to unwind, sit around the fire, and enjoy the simple things. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a true bush camping experience!

Calm, quiet, a multitude of birds, great shade for the warm times, plentiful wood for the cooler times. No service so no texts, messages, news - sometimes you need. This was a great place to chill.

A lovely quiet location with well spaced campsites around one of the lakes perimeter. There was plenty of interesting birdlife at the other lake nearby which was filling, the lake at camp was still dry. It was just a quick overnight for me on my way south. Malcolm was very helpful. Insect repellant is a must.
