Did you know that Mungindi is the only town in Australia that straddles two states? While you have easy access to town, you're actually in the bush. You have native grasses. You have plenty of trees. You have birdsong.  You're in a secluded, tranquil space. And this level, shady space is surrounded by space - from the racecourse/showground on one side to acres of vacant crown land on the other. While public shower and toilet facilities are nearby, there are no amenities on site and you will need to bring your own drinking water.  Access is 2WD friendly and there's plenty of room for all types of camping vehicles. The campsite is grassy and level. At night you can relax by the warmth of a crackling fire. Admire the stellar spectacular above. And in the morning you can wander over to the Barwon River via the showgrounds and racecourse. Then later enjoy the healing waters of the artesian hot spa. And look, while you in Mungindi, go to the middle of the bridge. Plant one foot on the NSW side and one on the Queensland side. You know what? Your feet will be exactly one hour apart.Did you know that Mungindi is the only town in Australia that straddles two states?
