This is a great camp ground. Everything is maintained and clean. Close to shop and kids have plenty to keep them entertained. Only thing I would say is that the toilet paper in the bathrooms either runs out very quickly or gets stolen, so bring your own.

We just had a a swag set up. No power needed. Site was flat and grass was short. Amenities are clean and hot water readily available. Good space between camp sites too.

Camp ground is tidy, playground on the other side of the oval for the kids, & even the oval if you want to play ball games or run around,

Rathdowney Memorial Grounds was a great place to stay! Doug, the caretaker, was super helpful and gave us good advice. It was a little less lively given that we stayed on a Sunday night, but still nice. The laundry facilities and bathrooms were well kept! Great location near the town store and pub!

The showers were awesome. Nice and hot with great pressure and the grounds are well kept. Unfortunately the park was well overbooked and we had to find an unpowered spot under a tree, wedged between others, despite having booked a powered site. Was probably just an issue cos of the long weekend…

To be honest we probably wouldn’t stay again. It was ok, but over half of it wasn’t level and the remaining level spots had earthworks in the middle of them or people parked right in the middle of available spots leaving us to either park close to them or go near the entrance. So we went near the entrance only to end up with a family of 5+ kids parked right on top of us, …..not their fault as there was nowhere else for them to go, but not the pleasant overnighter we were hoping for.

Great little quiet spot! We had flat ground making setting up our camper trailer a breeze. It backs on to a soccer field and a playground which the kids spent many hours playing at. A short 2 minute walk to the convenience store and the pub is directly across the road. The amenities were clean and the residents kept to themselves but all were friendly! Will definitely be back!

This is a great place to stop by! We stayed overnight to fill water, do washing, connect to electricity and dump. We ended up dumping elsewhere as we left it until Saturday and he'd gone out (and fair enough). Easy to get in and out of with a big rig. Definitely recommend.

Easy ground to setup at, nice spot, good shower and toilet facilities and bbq area. A little bit of noise from the pub close by but expected being in the middle of town

Rathy caravan park was excellent. Everywhere was booked out, heaps of spots available at Rathdowney caravan park.
We picked our level space that had town water tap. The gas barbecue and hot water was right behind us, clean free amenities block with no code or locked doors was right there.
We got back to our site to watch the local soccer match, with cold beer in hand!
Did I mention it was cheap!
We’ll be back, there’s lots to explore at the Scenic Rim.

Fantastic facilities for a budget price. Steaming hot showers and very clean. Laundry room and undercover BBQ and kitchen sink with a large table, all really appreciated.

Rathdowney Memorial grounds, probably one of the best places. I’ve stayed in a long time,
Long weekends can get quite busy. Usually it is very peaceful and quiet, the caretaker Dave is a true gentleman, and extremely accommodating to your needs, the grounds are very well kept And the facilities are always clean and functional
Hot showers, power and water are available if you choose, and there are no additional charges for the showers Unlike a lot of places
The Central cooking facilities are Well set up, and always clean and tidy
I found it to be a great base for exploring the area have often left my campsite unattended for days at a time, with no issues,
The Tavern serves good food and reasonably priced liquor however they have no Dog policy which made it difficult as my little mate doesn’t like being left alone for too long
As far as dogs go, my little, Mate has been very happy camping there and he has enjoyed taking me for walks around the neighbourhood, including the semi, steep walk up the hill to the lookout
Overall and apples for apples I rate Rathdowney Memorial grounds a 10/10!

It is a pretty small campsite just off the main road. Toilet facilities are old but kept working and clean. It has a little shelter area you can use to cook, but the table and seats are covered in bird poop. I paid $18 a night on this website, but a lady who turned up and paid cash got it for $10 a night - I’m a bit pipped about that.

Great place. Caretaker lovely and relaxed. It's like camping in the 90's... Price and amenities very good. Great western (sunset) view for most sites. Brand new playground for kids

Small well maintained camp ground, toilet block was clean and tidy and everyone there was so lovely. The Easter markets were wonderful. Would definitely come back here again.

The Rathdowney Showgrounds was exactly as advertised. The amenities include a flush toilet, hot showers, covered outdoor kitchen, grill, powered sites and unpowered sites. Bathrooms have a routine cleaner. There was a mix of permanent residents and nightly campers and was walking distance to the pub.
