In Queensland, just north of the NSW border, in the Running Creek area of the "Scenic Rim". The nearby National Park is Mt Chinghee, which is part of the Shield Volcano Group of the World Heritage Site Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. We have grassed valleys and forested hills, which provide the perfect setting for bush walking, bird watching, star gazing, or just relaxing. Three of our camp sites are well separated and not visible to each other. If it's seclusion and privacy you're after, "The Washout", "Fig Tree" and "Ridge Top" would be perfect for you. While "The Old Hut", has 2 seperate sites and enough space to be well seperated from other campers. Guests staying with us must have their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The sites are accessible for 4WD only. Get back to nature and explore. Many native animals have been spotted on the property wallabies, possums, echidnas, goannas, bandicoots, dingos, and koalas as well as a large variety of birds. Also a variety of frogs i.e.. Red/orange eyed tree frog, desert tree frog, white lipped tree frog, striped marsh, striped rocket frog and stoney creek frogs. ( see how many different calls you can hear) This beautiful 200acre property in Camp Creek is part of the original "selection" by William Dimmock in 1895. It was a dairy farm, and at one stage the family grew market garden crops on a plateau high up the mountain, using a flyingfox to bring the crops down. Originally the property took in "Screw Gully" from Glenapp up to Tartar Creek Rd. In the 60's Jim Dimmick (grandson to William) sold out and the land was sub-divided. The property now supports up to 40 head of breeding cattle and 3 retired horses. Scenic Rim hosts local wineries; restaurants and coffee shops, and Mt Tamborine, all within an hour drive. Only a 1.5 hour drive to the Gold Coast.

Grassy campsite. Easy to find. Not far from local amenities but feels miles away. A great spot to relax, disconnect from tech and enjoy the scenery.

Beautiful
Heather met us and took us up to the very well maintained site. Firepit available (didn't get to use as hot weather). Peaceful and private, with the sounds of wildlife, a spectacular view down to the creek, and the cows for a visit while they grazed and chilled. Wonderful weekend here. Thanks for letting us stay.

Well maintained, private
Extremely well maintained, beautiful luscious grass. Not much water in the creek, and also the short drive from main house to camp site is very much off road. You have nobody else around you and really private. I was able to leave my dogs off leash majority of the time, except when the kangaroos came to visit. Loved it, and great price.

Stunning location, easy to find, remote no cars flying past and Heather is an excellent host. Doesn’t intrude but ensures you get to your site, helps out with fire wood etc We have stayed before and will be back

Ridge Top Serentity
We made a last minute decision to paxk the truck, and head to Heather's Ridge Top Camp. Heather was a wonderful host, speedy in reply, and very friendly upon on arrival. Gave us a few tips for camp, as we were perched high above the valley... the grassy patch was well cared for and the 4wd track to reach it, was well maintained too.. The serenity, the sound of the bush, the clear starry sky and firepit, made this trip one to remember... we will be back for sure!

Relaxing and quiet
A great spot to camp next to a running creek surrounded by green hills. Heather led us to the site, then left us to it for the weekend. A dirt road runs nearby but we didn’t see many vehicles. A beautiful and quiet place to escape.

Beautiful location! Sites were spacious, well maintained and easy to access with our camper trailer. Heather was quick to respond to my initial enquiry making booking super easy. Heather met us on arrival and guided us down to our site. We certainly hope to be back soon. We would highly recommend this beautiful camp.

What a stunning site! Heather was lovely , showed us our site, offered fire wood then left us to enjoy her amazing property. Little creek was lovely. The whole area was amazing with walks, lovely trees for shade. One of our favourite hipcamp and will be back

Weekend Escape
We made a last minute booking not expecting much since it was school holidays and boy were we surprised to arrive at this slice of bushy paradise! Manicured flat grassy campsite set next to a trickling creek amongst a backdrop of the Border Ranges. Very quiet and quiet a long distance to the next camp site (>100m). We’ll be back thank you Heather!

Secluded spot in a slice of heaven!
What an amazing secluded spot! Cannot highly recommend this spot enough if you want a bit of time to relax, unwind and enjoy your own company whilst taking in the beautiful land thats on offer and the view is something else. We experienced so wild conditions with rain and wind but this still didn't dampen our spirits as we still had an amazing time and loved our few nights away. Thank you so much Heather for your warm welcome and letting us stay at your beautiful property. It such a beautiful spot and you guys have done such a wonderful thing letting people experience your slice of heaven.

We had a wonderful time camping here :) located next to a beautiful stream and surrounded by lots of wildlife. The stars at night were amazing!! Highly recommend :)
