We are a small, working farm and apiary. Located back a gravel farm lane, Old Soul Farm is the perfect place to getaway from it all and still be within 10 minutes of the Gettysburg Battlefield.  Learn more about this land: Site Option 1: A beautiful view of the farm and surrounding farm properties. It is the furthest away from the barn and owner housing for privacy but an easy field walk in and out. Site Option 2: Closer to the barn. It is a level area with a great tree for shade and climbing. This location also has a stone fire circle.  Site Option 3: Formerly used as a riding ring for horses, it can now be used to accommodate larger groups.

What a beautiful and tranquil location! We camped at the Point location and truly enjoyed our stay. I grew up in Western PA but have not lived in state for over 40 years. This location brought back to me how beautiful PA really is!

Affordable and conveniently close!
Old Soul Farm was a 10/10 camping experience. Located about 15 minutes from Gettysburg, but far enough out that it was still a relaxing sleep. Our party consisted of an 11 year old son, 2 dogs, husband, and myself. We are already talking about staying again for our next trip. We camped under a little Sycamore tree that we were able to tie our 2 dogs to while we were at the site (they came with us to Gettysburg). Three very friendly, curious kittens played around us. Roosters and turkeys greeted the sunrise and the farm sounds were a nice replacement to the suburban noise we are used to. Having grown up on farms, we all felt at home. Catherine had firewood available for an affordable price. The port-a-potty was clean and well-stocked. The hosts were thoughtful, reducing the light pollution that would normally come from the house (we honestly didn't notice any lights our first night!).

Tranquility under big beautiful sky
Catherine is an exceptional host. She and her lovely children were earnestly welcoming and hospitable from the moment we arrived (the children all played happily together for almost the entirety of our stay). My son and I were visiting Gettysburg for the 159th anniversary of the battle and I needed to tack on an extra night of lodging for our trip at the near-last minute. In the end, I would have preferred that we'd stayed at this camp site the entire weekend over the Airbnb I'd originally booked. I stayed at the southern-most site on Catherine's farm and enjoyed every peaceful moment of it. Additionally, I was able to secure firewood from Catherine for a small and reasonable fee (and she brought the wood down to our site before we'd arrived). The camp sites have organized fire pits, and the sites are nicely arranged with ample space between them. I stayed up late as my son drifted off to a snoring sleep, and I enjoyed the peacefulness under a wide, gorgeous sky surrounded by a sea of fireflys in the fields around our site. Needless to say, I slept like a baby and awoke refreshed, as did my son. Next time I visit Gettysburg, I will be choosing this farm to camp on.
