A beautiful hilly 90 acre working farm in the hinterland above The Great Lakes (Myall, Smith , Wallis Lakes), 30 mins from Seal Rocks, just 10km off the M1 about 20 minutes from Bulahdelah. The property offers privacy and magnificent views of rolling green hills and ancient trees and a huge dam with pontoon for swimming. Great stars on a clear night. Sit, relax, and enjoy the magnificent views or utilise the surrounding forests, beaches, lakes, farmers markets, and local winery. You'll be camping with a herd of horses who do visit camping sites. There's also the Pet pig "Barney Rubble" and ponies / ducks/ chickens/ talking parrot to entertain little people. Firewood can be purchased when you arrive for CASH for $20 per load and must be collected from the house upon arrival. Eggs also are available - $8 CASH on arrival. Lemons are free. We limit bookings for your privacy. It is a hilly property so you need adequate power and 4WD to access the higher sites, particularly if towing. 4WD are most suitable for this property. Message before booking about access, particularly after rain, if you don't have a 4WD/off-road van. Dogs are welcome and are fine to be off-lead provided they don't chase horses and are friendly. They must be on a lead near the house around the free-range chooks etc. Campers should be fully contained. Bring all, take all, no footprint camping. We look forward to hosting you.

The largest flat camping site on our hilly farm with a beautiful outlook overlooking waterlily filled dams. 90 acres old dairy farm. Quiet and peaceful with loads of birdlife and wildlife and beautiful night skies/stars. This site is suitable to larger vans (25ft max approx) and has all weather access (4WD if towing) and is the best site for groups. The driveway to the farm is short and steep. All sites are exclusive to the one group/booking. No footprint camping. Bring all. Take all. Close to the Dam for swimming (bring floating devices). Large pontoon. The price is per head. Firewood is $20 per load and must be paid in cash and collected from house upon arrival. Group rates can be negotiated, however everyone must book through Hipcamp and we have a 2 night minimum. Dogs are welcome. You camp in with a herd of horses and ponies that visit your site. I position the other campers so you are a good distance away. Bookings are limited to only a few sites over 90 acres so its best to book early for school holidays and long weekends, or if you want the property exclusively for a group event. We run a relaxed site and our only request is that you let us know your arrival time the day before arrival so we can ensure someone is here to show you to your site and then let you to enjoy our beautiful property and everything the stunning local area offers. We are a working farm so please respect we rise early and go to bed early - late night arrivals only by previous arrangement.

The Beautiful Secret Back Paddock

4WD all year round. The Secret Back Paddock is approx 30 acres of beautiful lush hilly land with loads of spots to camp and lovely views. This is best for 4WD vehicles and/or Camper Trailers, and 4WD Vans. No RVs. Not suitable for low cars and no 2WDs. There's a gully cross over and a steep climb to the best vantage sites. It's a beautiful paddock with loads of enormous trees and a beautiful outlook over the dams and well protected from winds and cool in summer. No noise except nature. Birds and wildlife and great night skies. Access to the dam/pontoon for swimming is still walking distance (a few hundred metres) and the horses will still visit your site. No footprint camping, bring all, take all. Dogs welcome. Firewood is $20 and must be paid cash upon arrival and pre-ordered (send a message).

A private site up above the huge Dam. Access is fine for 4WD with vans/ campers and AWD with small vans/trailers. 2WD only in dry weather. Enough room for groups but exclusive to one booking. Still walking distance to the Dam/ pontoon for swimming/ floating around and has a lovely breezy outlook over the stallion paddock and has some trees nearby for shade. No other campers nearby. Stunning ex dairy farm, with loads of birdlife and wildlife, beautiful night skies/stars and very quiet and peaceful.  Firewood is $20 per load and must be paid in CASH upon arrival collected at the house upon arrival. Dogs welcome if friendly. If they chase animals please keep on a lead near the house near all the free-ranging chooks and ducks. 4WD and AWD and trailers/vans fine. No footprint camping. Bring all. A secluded 4WD spot high up on top of the same paddock the big Dam View site. Very private and with a lovely outlook. Stunning ex dairy farm, with loads of birdlife and wildlife, with beautiful night skies/stars and very quiet and peaceful. Suitable for 4WDs and camper trailers and only suitable for caravans if you have a very good 4WD and if its dry. Steep grassy climb to the top. At the top of a hilly 30 acre paddock with lovely outlook towards the coast. Each site is exclusive to the same group, you will not have anybody else near you. In amongst the majestic Tallowood and Flooded Gums. You can walk down the paddock or drive to the pontoon/dam. The price is per head and children under 13 are $5. Firewood is $20 per generous load and must be paid in cash and collected from the house upon arrival. Dogs are welcome. You camp in with a herd of horses and ponies and they will visit your site. No footprint camping. Bring all. Take all. 30 mins to beaches/horse riding/lakes.  I position the other sites so you are not in eyesight of each other and are a good distance away and bookings are limited to a few sites only so its best to book early for school holidays and long weekends. Please message me before booking if it's been raining and you are towing a van. A beautiful private site at the back of Ridge#2 with loads of privacy and surrounded by beautiful Tallowood trees. No other campers in sight. Fairly good access but 4WD preferred, particularly after rain. Slight hill climb, and then a grassy paddock to drive up to the rear of the Ridge where there's a large flat area. This site is a bit further from the Dam for swimming but still walkable. 4WD vehicles also have their own access to this site through their own gate. The horses run in a herd and visit this site. Firewood is $20 per load but must be paid cash upon arrival and pre-ordered so we have enough. Farm eggs are usually available. Lots of animals: Horses, Ponies, Dogs, Talking Parrot, Ducks, Chooks and Barney Rubble, the pet pig, who walks to the dam for a wallow daily. BYO floating devices for the dam. Half an hour to the beaches of Seal Rocks and Great Lakes. No footprint camping, bring all, take all.

Ridge#3 TALLOWOOD RIDGE
This was our second year visiting Linda's property and again have loved every second of it. Each camp site is far enough away from each other that you still feel like you are solo camping, the views are beautiful and Linda herself is cheerful and welcoming. Can't wait for our next visit!

Linda is an incredibly accommodating host. We stayed for our annual footy trip and all the boys had an awesome time! We had some loud music on but always turned it down respectfully as it got later. The property has heaps of space to spread out and enjoy yourselves. We played a few big games of cricket and even managed to set up a slip ’n’ slide for a laugh. 10/10 — would absolutely recommend!

The Beautiful Secret Back Paddock
This was our second visit and again we had an amazing time, Linda showed us directly to our site which was on top of the hill looking down into the valley, the closest camper to us was far enough away to keep things very private, a huge collection of timber was available and we were pleasantly surprised to see a new toilet available, we will definitely be back

Amazing property! All campsites are spread out and private. Beautiful bird life and horses that come into your camp for a pat. Linda was very accommodating and friendly. The only downfall was that the toilet was not nearby.

The perfect farm stay experience

This was one of our favourite farm stays! The properties is spacious and well cared for and Linda was hospitable and lovely and provided really clean instructions and set up advice. We stayed at Damn View #1 for two nights and some highlights included ; the friendly roaming horses (and Barney rubble the pig) popping to say hi, swims in the damn, the clear Milky Way at night, cosy camp fires and beautiful vistas every way you look. There is a clean composting loo and loads of flat space to set up.

My husband and I loved our private camping experience. We also loved the horses coming to visit us and the abundant bird life. Linda (the host) welcomed us with fresh chicken eggs and also plenty of firewood.. We would definitely come again with our dog Daisy.

We had such an awesome time camping here. Such a peaceful spot, with the most beautiful animals. Between the friendly horses hanging out with us in the morning, the most gorgeous pig, wallabies passing by and stunning bird life, this was by far my favourite camping experience as far as animals go. We loved the peace and quiet and how far apart the campsites are spaced. Linda was so welcoming and generous of her time, showing us around.

Peaceful, Private, and Beautiful

The Beautiful Secret Back Paddock
Linda’s property is absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel so welcome. The land is expansive and peaceful. You can’t even see other campers, even though you know they’re out there, which made it feel really private. We woke up to stunning views overlooking the pond from our campsite, which was such a serene way to start the day. One of the highlights was getting to see a couple of friendly horses roaming nearby. it was such a unique and lovely experience. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature.

I would have given this property a good rating had it not for a very unpleasant interaction with the host. There was an incident of me being in my swag asleep and all 11 horses crowded around me (obviously this didn’t make me feel safe) and I messaged the host asking for advice to ensure my safety. The response I got was very rude and dismissive, saying if I’m scared of livestock then I shouldn’t have chosen her camp. the camp is inside the horses paddock, they have full reign inside your camp. If you’re using a swag ensure you have barriers on all sides to protect you.

We are family of 4 with two boys 5 and 10 and we couldn’t have asked for a better Hipcamp experience. Full score from us! Very large property, lots of space between sites - we barely saw the other campers. Our kids loved watching Barney (giant pig) come down for his morning swim with Linda and the dogs each morning. The horses were so gentle and pleasure to have around. Beautiful hinterland area, and within 45min of Seal Rocks and Blueys etc. we already said we are going back with friends next time. Thanks Linda for a magical stay!

The Beautiful Secret Back Paddock
Linda’s property is absolutely stunning. We shared our stay with horses, and were greeted politely by them each day. Our visit was hot, at 29C— but staying by the dam kept us at a great temperature with a lovely breeze. We felt totally isolated and secure, as Linda makes an effort to keep her visitors as distant from each other. Amenities were close and tidy. To top it off, Linda provided us with fresh eggs, a heap of firewood and fresh aloe vera for sunburn. An 11/10 stay, and hosted by a wonderful lady!

The place is beautiful, lots of cute animals, amazing surroundings! We were very lucky with the weather. Compost toilet very nice and clean, Linda is a very lovely host. We got to celebrate Barney (the pig's birthday).

We loved camping here. Linda was super helpful and accommodating to all our needs. It was the perfect stop on our travels to the North Coast from Sydney, to break up the drive and unwind from city chaos, on a gorgeous property not too far from the Hwy. The kids loved the beautiful, friendly horses that roamed freely and enjoyed a day swimming and paddling in the dam. Thanks Linda. We will be back. Xo

I went with a large group of around 20 and we had the time of our lives! This beautiful property is stunning and feels like a children's book. The horses are incredibly friendly and unbothered, we loved giving them pets. Linda is an exceptional host, will be back!

We had a great time camping here. The property is fantastic and the sites are private. The roaming horses added a unique and peaceful vibe to the place, and the dam was perfect for cooling off on hot days. Linda was a fantastic host—friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. A great spot for a relaxed, fun getaway with friends.

This is a very unique camp spot in a beautiful setting. The horses came for breakfast and lingered around with us on our campfire, kids had heaps of fun floating in the dam and following Linda and the dogs around to see all the animals. Linda is a great host. We had beautiful 3 days at Wootton.
