7 m Class B · Group trip · The drive into dispersed camping was a bit rough for our 23' camper van. We had seen in one of the emails as we neared the area that 4-wheel drive might be required in certain conditions, so we messaged about it and were told it was fine and that they had camper vans in all the time. So we proceeded to the site, following the host over a rutted road. We picked a site that had a sort-of fire pit made from a cut-off barrel. The listing had said firewood would be provided and we were looking forward to sitting around a campfire that night. When we asked about firewood the man didn't seem to know what we were talking about. He said we were welcome to gather some ourselves, so we found enough small limbs and sticks in the woods to get a little fire going. Soon after, it started to rain, so we spent the rest of the evening in the camper. Next morning, it was still wet. We were afraid of getting stuck on the road if it rained more, so we left, even though we had booked two nights. We couldn't risk getting the rented camper stuck, so we forfeited a night that we had paid for. No amenities. No firewood, nothing welcoming. Just wherever you could park in an open space under a few trees. Not worth the price. Would not return.
