Scott, Sabrina and Charlie were excellent hosts. I can't recommend this place enough especially if you have kids who are curious about horses and nature. Excellent launch pad for day trip south coast adventures and the campsites are very well spaced out.

Beautiful area for camping - even with lots of people around, there was heaps of privacy and options for all styles of camping. Also amazing that it was so close to so many beaches. We had a fantastic weekend, and would 100% come back!

We had such a great spring break weekend! Scott and his family were nice and even let the kids feed the horses — they loved it! 🐴 We also explored the creek nearby, which wasn’t hard to find and made the trip feel more adventurous. The place had huge open spaces, perfect for pitching tents and letting the kids run around. Just one thing to note — you have to take your trash with you since there’s no big bin there. Other than that, it was such a fun and relaxing experience.

Scott greeted us when we came into his property, jumped in his Polaris and drove us down to a beautiful spot and offered a hand of help to set up, lovely bloke. The property is beautiful, very well kept, no rubbish and there was native wildlife around as well as his beautiful horses in the paddocks.
We spent two nights and it was peaceful and we were uninterrupted! Thanks for having us mate!

Packed up the boys and was welcomed by Scott who is a great host and showed us around the property. Plenty of wilderness, openness and areas to pitch a tent, raise your swag or caravan. We were one of three folks there and with all of the space you felt like you had the whole area to yourself.
Plenty of brush/deadfall to collect and have a roaring fire too.

Overall the camp ground is nice well maintained and freshly mown. Is set in a large paddock includes a round yard and dressage arena with lots of trees and ample room for the 10 sets of campers present. There was a large full water tank which many campers were using for washing etc. Yes we could see and hear each camp site from our spot but plenty of space between so conversations were definately indistinct. Advise you take a tent for your loo privacy or self contained set up. The lovely creek in the photos is difficult to access. Spoke with many campers who either tried or could not work it out One group did made it down the very steep forested/ scrub hillside and said they got quite lost trying to get back. We tried but too steep so asked as have young children and were given directions on a good path with access through and into the neighbours property to a lovely part of a pebbled sandy creek. We were told to go right at creek but big tree down across it and overgrown so stopped with the kids and found we had to explain and apologise for our presence to the neighbour. Zero Mozzies as campsite is on top of the ridge well above the creek line. We were disapointed camp was not near the creek in the photos. We thought the kids could enjoy playing in it and us a refreshing swim Access to it is limited with no clearly marked trail and very steep, lots of brush between the trees makes it easy to get lost. The small caves at the top of the Ridge near the camp are interesting.

This is a great spot. The fact you’re allowed a small camp fire was the highlight for the kids. A short drive to a range of nice beaches. The river was a little further away than expected

Scott was an outstanding host .
He promptly replied to emails .& was there to meet us on arrival and guide us to our campsite .
Our site was large and accommodated us well . Even though there were other campers we were spaced apart for privacy .
Bonus was he kids loved the horses , turkeys & chickens .

Nice place with plenty of space and grass area’s. Little bit expensive for what it is (no toilets or amenities). But still a lovely area and the owners are awesome. Would go back again. Horses are also super friendly

Had a great time here. The hosts were wonderful. Sites were well spaced out and we pitched our tent in the middle of trees that formed an arch. So beautiful. Very close to the beaches, just tricky to get into the driveway the first time. We also had a chance to say hi to the horses and my daughter loved it. There’s a bit of highway noise but I didn’t mind it that much. Cave trail is a little steep - maybe not for little ones.

Overall was a good enjoyable few days & nights camping. The sites are easy to access. Although other campers weren’t too far away the. Noise was very reasonable and the other campers weren’t all respectful of everyone else.
Scott was very welcoming. Make sure you read Scott’s detailed information about finding the property as google is about 100-300 Mtrs off his actual driveway but once you find it, it’s easy to find after that.
If you’re lucky you may even have several of his horses and fowls walk up to you wanting a pat at the main gate.

We loved camping here! Such a peaceful part of the world, conveniently located close to some of our favourite beaches. Scott & Co were super friendly & helpful responding straight way when our car battery was flat! The kids loved roaming & meeting the horses. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of Scott's place. Directions to the site were easy and precise. Scott was very accommodating and helpful. The campsite we chose was secluded and clean.
Other campers were far away enough to maintain complete privacy. Great site.

Woodenhead is a must-stay! Secluded campsites surrounded by beautiful bushland, an absolutely stunning creek and walking trails to explore, in addition to the farm animals and top-notch hospitality, this is the place to switch off from civilisation (which is only 10 mins away) and tune in to nature’s beauty by immersing yourselves in this gorgeous setting. Scott was responsive, attentive and provides a lush backdrop to any getaway. Highly recommend!
