Stay in our on-site caravan in ultra-natural Wonboyn Lake, this onsite van is part of the Wonboyn Cabins & Caravan Park. Visitors will have access to all the caravan park facilities including our full amenities block as the caravan does not have its own bathroom. There is a bbq available at the van, along with a TV and microwave.  Kangaroos, Lyre Birds and Wallabies are common visitors to the park. We are located on the doorstep of Nadgee Nature Reserve and the Wonboyn Lake to enjoy all your favourite water activities.  Hire boats, kayaks & MTB's available and there are some amazing bush walks in the surrounding area. There is so much to see and do in this region, it is well worth the visit!

I really liked the location of this camp! It’s definitely a caravan park that seems to have a lot of families and older people gravitate to it, all of which are lovely and generally keep to themselves. I camp in my car so have a relatively small set up which I just packed up every day and headed out for entire day. It wasn’t really a space I wanted to get my chair out and hang out, but I think I just prefer to do that out in the bush in a space that’s a bit more secluded so that’s a personal preference for myself. It really depends on your set up and style of camping on if this place would suit you but overall the facilities are really nice, there’s showers, toilets, a laundry and kitchenette sort of thing to wash up. There’s fresh water taps and power. It’s near some of the most beautiful beaches/inlets/bays I have ever seen. And Luke was super helpful and approachable! Overall I’m happy with my booking!

The Flathead Flat
The 2 bedroom cabin and amenities were very clean and well equipped. We went there in late November so it was very quiet. The location was close to Eden and peripheral towns. The lake was perfect for fishing. 4WD is recommended if you want to travel further along the river to the ocean from the lake.

My pup and I had an amazing time at Wonboyn Cabins! We had a very comfortable stay in one of the Windsor cabins which was perfect size and was equipped with everything we needed. We even hired a boat from them and explored the estuary. Luke was very kind and understanding of our situation and helped us when we needed. I highly recommend this place!

This was our first camping experience and we brought our fur baby along too. We had a wonderful stay! The area is perfect for relaxing and exploring. We found the facilities clean and tidy. Added bonus of Kangaroos, Lorikeets, Australian King Parrots and small Blue Wrens to watch were highlights. We loved the fire pit we could put at our campsite and eat ch the sun go down. We are newbies to the camping scene and had a basic setup, if we needed anything, the office staff were very happy to provide help! Wonderful friendly people really made our experience even better! Highly recommend you check this beautiful place out and stay a while.

Camping space is quiet and separate from the cabins which means there are no noise issues. Slightly confusing to navigate but overall I would recommend!

Great spot! The folk who run the place are really friendly and helpful! The sites are tiered down a hill which we didn’t really get from the photos and map. It was absolutely fine but not what we expected. Heaps of birds and wildlife and the lake is close!

Beautiful part of the country. Luke and Sarah were lovely hosts, providing us with fishing rods and other equipment so the little ones could have a go at dropping a line in the lake. They also make a great coffee so get in quick or preorder to avoid the queue. We'll be back again next time and will be recommending to friends.

Carvan at Wonboyn lake
Onsite Caravan - Wonboyn Wilderness
Luke was a great host, really helpful, and welcoming. The caravan provides a cheap option for people wanting to explore Wonboyn lake (just a 2min walk) as well as Eden and Ben Boyd NP. It is an oldy, rusty, dusty caravan but its 70's style has a charm. You may need to bring your own cutleries and cooking utensils (knife, etc..) The caravan is part of a cabin and caravan park so you are surrounded by many other caravans and there is not much privacy. There is an awning to allow more space and privacy, but this stops the light from coming into the caravan.

A quiet revelation.

I went to Womboyn out of curiosity, and enjoyed my stay immensely. After a chat with my Host, I was able to go to some beautiful spots that I would have never discovered on my own. Oh, and once again my passion for feathered creatures was satisfied with a wide variety of very approachable birds.

Relaxed and friendly camping

We stayed in the on-site caravan at the Wonboyn caravan park. Convenient for us as we don't own any camping equipment. Good facilities. Kayaking on the lake was a highlight. Luke was a great host and happy to help. Other guests were very friendly, seemed to be many regulars.
