Winegrove is our home base for our working beef cattle properties which includes our small hardwood timber mill. Winegrove consists of 656 acres. The 2 Winegrove campsites are located along 1.2km overlooking the pristine Clarence river exclusively spaced @ 500m apart. P2 and P3 also have great views and are sheltered and private. Note: Fig Tree Lookout P2 is out of flood levels and can be accessed by high clearance 2WD, however we do recommend having 4WD just in case during wet conditions. Boulder Bay P3, which has ONLY 4WD access, can flood during a major flood in the Clarence river, however you can park/camp higher up when wet. [Note: Hacketts Haven is our new property, located near Copmanhurst which boasts your own exclusive panoramic view overlooking the Clarence River. The site is approximately 13-14 metres clear/elevated from the river.] Obedient pets permitted and that they are on a lead or under control with livestock or cattle dogs around. No amenities so campers need to BYO everything they need and leave no trace. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place - check with host. Firewood for sale by the bag at homestead.

Winegrove - Fig tree Lookout P2

RV/tent site · Sleeps 20 · Vehicles under 20 m
Peaceful private. Fig tree Lookout P2 is my favourite spot (colour coded yellow). Lots of camping/caravan/camper space for groups up to 20, private and some accessible cattle tracks down the steep descent to the Clarence river (good knees essential), great for exercise, exploring and adventure.  Fig tree lookout is to the right of the campsite and is a somewhat easier steep walk down to the river via cattle trails, but has rockier access to river.  Once near the water, you may see red indicators, this is below Splinters Lookout P1 campsite zone.  This is potentially another place to tie up your canoes, using access via farm (during dry times).  Avoid cliffs and stick to the tracks. Note: After a flood there will be flood mud down below, which usually washes away after heavy rain The Zig Zag trail/gully, left of Lazzas' Log, is the most direct way down to the river, which has some great deep drop offs for fishing and swimming.   Hiking boots, long sleeves and backpack are recommended, this is for experienced bush hikers only.  I have put yellow markers on trees to help navigate, so stick to the gully mostly (zig zagging will help) and continue down until you reach the yellow (albeit faded) rope wrapped around the roots of a fallen tree at the base and other yellow markers.  You will need to find this as your marker to know where to start your walk back up the hill again.  Additionally there is a yellow bouyancy vest with P2 on it, hanging in a tree as well, used as a marker if you are wanting to tie up your kayak at the base.  Be aware of submerged and slippery rocks.  Note: If you walk along the waterfront, down river, you will see blue indicators which is beginning of Boulder Bay P3 campsite zone. As a courtesy, stay in the yellow zone. Note: if you want to access the river by vehicle on the property, you will have to have a 4WD.  The green arrow on the map, provided after booking, will direct you to the farm to launch your canoe etc.  Please enquire if this is accessible. Alternatively Lilydale bridge is only a 2km drive away and you don't need a 4WD for access to water for swimming/bathing etc. Feel free to take walks back along the road - respecting other campers privacy along the way. Price is for 2 people. Additional campers are $8 each per night.  Note: There may be a slight price increase for NSW Christmas school holidays. Additionally do not include children under 5 as extras. A mud map when possible will be provided after booking. (Lilydale @3 minutes away, Copmanhurst is @12 minutes away, Jackadgery @25 minutes away & the Gorge @ 45 minutes away.) Note: Jackadgery has fuel and a shop, Copmanhurst has a pub/general store and Junction Hill is the closest fuel station.

Winegrove - Boulder Bay P3 (4WD)

RV/tent site · Sleeps 20 · Vehicles under 4 m
Peaceful & private. Boulder Bay P3 site (colour coded blue) is only accessible by 4WD. Not accessible when wet, however can camp anywhere above campsite if preferable (but do not drive over exposed poly pipe). Guaranteed peace, privacy and tranquility with @ 50acres of space. Inspection is wise before committing to the choice of two descent tracks, particularly if you have a camper trailer.  Two camper trailers have been known to fit (I don't know how!). The turning circle down below is a 3 point turn and skillful maneuvering is required. Ideally, tents/swags/shelter etc be set up and leave vehicles up top. Note: If you had a big group, there is three spots to spread out over, two up top and one down below. Complete private river frontage entirely yours.  Highly recommend rock shoes while swimming. Idyllic location for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming and floating.  Noodles are an essential floating river toy, don't forget yours!  Be aware of submerged and slippery rocks/logs. You can walk along river bank, down river as far as the fence/boundary and walk up river to the end of P3 zone (blue), which joins Fig tree Lookout P2 zone (yellow).  Feel free to take walks back along the road - respecting other campers privacy along the way. Price is for 2 people. Additional campers are $10 each per night (total max 20 pple).  Note: There may be a slight price increase for NSW Christmas school holidays. Additionally do not include children under 5 as extras. Self contained campers only. A mud map will also be provided for you after booking. (Lilydale is @3 minutes away, Copmanhurst is @12 minutes away, Jackadgery @25 minutes away and the Gorge @45 minutes away.) Note: Jackadgery has fuel and a shop, Copmanhurst has a pub/general store and Junction Hill is the closest fuel station.
