We really enjoyed our stay — it’s a beautiful and peaceful spot with lots of natural charm. The site was slightly overgrown, but that added to the relaxed, rustic feel of the place.
There’s no phone service, which was actually be nice if you’re looking to properly switch off, but worth knowing in advance. The only small disappointment was discovering that swimming wasn’t allowed due to an algae outbreak, and there were also signs saying no fishing between August 1 and October 31. The algae warning signs looked quite old, so it would’ve been great to know about both restrictions beforehand, especially since we had kids who were looking forward to swimming and fishing.
Overall though, it’s a lovely place to unwind, and we’d be happy to come back once the swimming area is open again!
