Our 25 acre Hipcamp area is located safely within our 300 acre property which enjoys approximately 5 kilometres of pristine and private Murray River frontage in the beautiful rural city of Albury. Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites . We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden & Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness & Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away. Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The two best sites for swimming are The River Bend and The Willows. We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time. We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. With notice, we can arrange portaloo hire should you need, please enquire with us prior to booking. We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water. Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site! We do have an area to launch your motor or paddle boat or jet ski We are on the banks of the magnificent Murray River and all our three sites are absolute river frontage with uninterrupted views up, down and across the Murray River. This campsite is a gently sloping grass area down onto river frontage with beautiful views upstream, down stream and across the magnificent Murray River onto a 800 acre island. This site is shaded by a beautiful red river gum tree, box willows and a weeping willow. There is a shaded and secluded swimming spot here with minimal river current. It is perfect for swimming, canoeing, paddling and putting a small tinnie onto the water. Great for fishing too. Guests will enjoy 1 acre to themselves however there may be another group visible 500 metres up river. There are no amenities on site. Guests will need to be self contained, take their waste with them and leave no trace. There is a suitable site nearby to launch a boat into the river. Our property is located within the city of Albury on the Murray River. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site! Your site is less than 10 minutes from Albury's shopping centre. South Albury (we are part of this beautiful suburb) is home to many wonderful coffee shops, cafes, boutiques and health & fitness facilities. This site is also less than 10 minutes to Albury Railway Station and the Albury Dump Point located there.

This camp site is again gently sloping to the edge of the magnificent Murray River. It is shaded by some small gum trees and a beautiful copse of weeping willows. This site is adjacent to a beautiful sandy swimming spot into open river. The Murray River is always moving and the current can be very strong and the water very cold. Guests need to be competent swimmers and be used to swimming in moving water. There is often large sand mounds in this area which are great fun for children to play and climb on. Great for fishing too. Guests will enjoy 1 acre to themselves however there may be another group visible 500 metres up river. There are no amenities on site. The Red River Gums campsite is a flat grassy area on a high river bank, which is home to two majestic red river gums. You will enjoy stunning views up stream and down stream of the Murray River and across the river to Victoria and a 800 acre island. It is a great spot for fishing and paddling. Guests will enjoy 1 acre to themselves however there may be another group visible 500 metres down river. There are no amenities on site. The Crossing

The Crossing is where we have historically swum our heifers, cows and calves across the Murray River from Willowbank onto an island to give them space, quiet and lots of feed to fatten those calves and keep their mothers in prime condition. We no longer use The Crossing or the island for this purpose but it is a beautifully secluded and private space with absolute Murray River frontage. The Crossing will give you perfect access for your boat (river height permitting), whether it is a small tinny or something a little larger. You can certainly swim here too but remember the river current is fast and strong. The Crossing is located in “Browny’s” paddock (this name is a nod to long gone respected neighbours across the river). Browny’s is a cattle paddock and as such you will always share the space with these animals. Our cattle are quiet, sometimes inquisitive but used to human interaction and while we are happy for you to have your dogs on site, we must insist that they are tethered (long leads are absolutely fine) at all times while camping at this site. A stunning vista, a quiet space and the never ending sky above. Guests will enjoy 30 acres to themselves however there may be another group visible 400 metres down river. There are no amenities on site. Guests MUST be self-contained and take their waste with them and leave no trace. Beautiful camp site right on the river. Fantastic site and enjoyed the cows coming to say hi. We had a great time even with the wind and rain. Will definitely be back. Vicki is a fantastic host - great communication, responsive, friendly.

Vicki was very accomodating. This camp is right in Albury Wodonga so only 5 minutes to drive from farm to town. Our camp was a lovely spot right next to the river and we had the whole area to ourselves.

Beautiful spot right on the river. Very private, lots of water birds and occasional fish jumping. There was even a little beach access into a calmer section of the river. I wish I would have been able to go for a kayak, some people passed by kayaking and occasionally a motor boat, but nothing too intrusive. The resident cows were very curious but very sweet and docile. I will definitely stay there again if I pass through that way.

Great camp site with lots of space and access to the Murray river. Site was clean and easy to access with a smaller trailer. Think a big caravan would struggle a bit to be honest. Dog friendly and lots of space for them to run! Besides the flies this campsite is great.

Beautiful spot. There are several camping spots. All separated, level, and next to the river. Vicki met me on arrival and was extremely helpful. Would recommend

The Crossing
The camp is situated right by the river, breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Waking up to the sound of gentle water flowing and the sight of the morning sun reflecting on the river was simply magical. The natural beauty surrounding the camp makes it a perfect getaway for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Vicki our host was communicative and very helpful even supplying some fire wood, we have already rebooked.

We loved camping on Vicki’s beautiful property, great river access, nice green grass.. Vicki was a fantastic host, amazing communication from the very start right up until after we left, we paid the extra for the wood, her husband had it there ready for us covered in plastic great wood kept us warm for our stay, over all fantastic Hipcamp would recommend 😊 our pups had a ball running around!

The Willows
Willowbank is a wonderful campsite with fantastic views of the Murray River. We loved the peace and privacy yet you are only a few mins from town and the Hume. We were the only ones there, however the other sites are so well spaced out that you would barely know you are sharing with anyone else. Vicki is a fantastic host with excellent communication and provided very helpful information prior to our stay. We only stayed the one night but would have loved to stay longer, we hope to return one day.

Fantastic spot just outside of Albury , very beautiful on the river, private. We only stayed one night in winter so it was cold at night but we had beautiful day and evening watching the sunset and have a campfire. Just perfect.

Great spot for a stop over or a couple days beside a river . The pups loved to run and swim . Had the whole area to ourselves . After a long drive was just what we needed only 5 min off the Hume highway and we were set up . Vicki was lovely host

We just loved staying at the River Bend. Vicki was so kind and down to earth and ensured we had a pleasant stay. The place is incredible, serene with picturesque views. Had some fun fishing before toasting some marshmallows and enjoying the warmth of the fire. We played some music and the cows came over to hang out which was cute! Our dog especially loved this place and enjoyed exploring. If you’re going to NSW, you need to stay here, it’ll make the stress melt off your shoulders. Vicki, thank you so much :)

Wow,wow,wow what an amazing place. We had such a great experience with Vicki great communication and instructions leading up to our stay and then being greeted by the friendly Byron upon our arrival who guided us to our camp site. Which was spectacular. The sights. The sounds of the birds and the Murray river flowing ticked all the boxes for us. There was direct access to a fishing spot right in front of our site and plenty of space between the other sites to feel very private. I wish our stay had been longer but would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others. So beautiful. Thank you so much. Sandy and Steven

Vicki and her husband were very lovely and very hospitable. The camp spot was beautiful and the river was running fast. We did have problems with wasps and ants, ants everywhere! We ended up going to Bunnings and had to surface spray everything to keep them away. You can hear the freeway traffic from the campsite, but it can be blocked out easily with some music and the view makes up for it.

We had a great time at the willows. We have tried a number of Hipcamp sites and this is by far the best! Great site, other campers can’t be seen or heard, Vicki the host was great to deal with prior and whilst at camp. Couldn’t recommend it more highly and will certainly be back!
