Our 25 acre Hipcamp area is located safely within our 300 acre property which enjoys approximately 5 kilometres of pristine and private Murray River frontage in the beautiful rural city of Albury. Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites . We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden and Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness and Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away. Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The three best sites for swimming are The Crossing, The River Bend and The Willows . We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time. We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. With notice, we can arrange portaloo hire should you need, please enquire with us prior to booking. We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water. Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site! We do have an area to launch your motor or paddle boat or jet ski We are on the banks of the magnificent Murray River and all our four sites are absolute river frontage with uninterrupted views up, down and across the Murray River. This campsite is a gently sloping grass area down onto river frontage with beautiful views upstream, down stream and across the magnificent Murray River onto a 800 acre island. This site is shaded by a beautiful red river gum tree, box willows and a weeping willow. There is a shaded and secluded swimming spot here with minimal river current. It is perfect for swimming, canoeing, paddling and putting a small tinnie onto the water. Great for fishing too. Guests will enjoy 1 acre to themselves however there may be another group visible 500 metres up river. There are no amenities on site. Guests will need to be self contained, take their waste with them and leave no trace. There is a suitable site nearby to launch a boat into the river. Our property is located within the city of Albury on the Murray River. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. The Red River Gums campsite is a flat grassy area on a high river bank, which is home to two majestic red river gums. You will enjoy stunning views up stream and down stream of the Murray River and across the river to Victoria and a 800 acre island. It is a great spot for fishing and paddling. Guests will enjoy 1 acre to themselves however there may be another group visible 500 metres down river. There are no amenities on site. Guests will need to be self contained, take their waste with them and leave no trace. There is a suitable site nearby to launch a boat into the river. This camp site is again gently sloping to the edge of the magnificent Murray River. It is shaded by some small gum trees and a beautiful copse of weeping willows. This site is adjacent to a beautiful sandy swimming spot into open river. The Murray River is always moving and the current can be very strong and the water very cold. Guests need to be competent swimmers and be used to swimming in moving water. There is often large sand mounds in this area which are great fun for children to play and climb on. The Crossing

The Crossing is where we have historically swum our heifers, cows and calves across the Murray River from Willowbank onto an island to give them space, quiet and lots of feed to fatten those calves and keep their mothers in prime condition. We no longer use The Crossing or the island for this purpose but it is a beautifully secluded and private space with absolute Murray River frontage. The Crossing will give you perfect access for your boat (river height permitting), whether it is a small tinny or something a little larger. You can certainly swim here too but remember the river current is fast and strong. The Crossing is located in “Browny’s” paddock (this name is a nod to long gone respected neighbours across the river). Browny’s is a cattle paddock and as such you will always share the space with these animals. Our cattle are quiet, sometimes inquisitive but used to human interaction and while we are happy for you to have your dogs on site, we must insist that they are tethered (long leads are absolutely fine) at all times while camping at this site. A stunning vista, a quiet space and the never ending sky above. Guests will enjoy 30 acres to themselves however there may be another group visible 400 metres down river. There are no amenities on site. Guests MUST be self-contained and take their waste with them and leave no trace. The Willows
We absolutely loved our time at The Willows. The site was level in multiple areas giving you a choice of where to setup. You are separated by other campers by quite a distance that you never even know they are there. We did notice sometimes there was a bit of road noise from the highway but it came and went and was never really annoying. Access to the river is so good with a sandbar and very clear access to the river. No snags or hidden logs really so it was nice to freely walk around the edge of the river and go for a swim. Vicki’s communication was amazing and super friendly. We had our fair share of wildlife - the cows are friendly and sometimes sit in the shade nearby, the goose across the other side of the river, a couple of young deer early in the morning, two turtles sun baking on a rock and even a swimming kangaroo who had a rest on the shore with us before continuing downstream. We absolutely loved our stay at The Willows and can’t wait to return.

This place is pure tranquillity—your own private slice of the Murray, perfectly removed from noise, crowds, and the usual campsite chaos. The river bend itself is the standout: a beautiful sandbar with a gentle current that’s ideal for wading, sitting, and letting time slow down. No drama, no stress—just water, shade, and calm. Speaking of shade, the tree cover here is outstanding. You’re protected almost all day, even right at the water’s edge. You can sit in the river and actually relax without worrying about getting roasted, which is rarer than it should be. Convenience is the quiet ace up its sleeve. Five minutes into town and you’ve got everything you need—perfect if you want to travel light and stock up once you arrive. It’s effortless camping, without sacrificing the feeling of being properly away. Vicki is an exceptional host—welcoming, thoughtful, and clearly invested in making this place special. That care shows in every detail. This has easily become our favourite camping spot and a guaranteed regular getaway. At just four hours from Melbourne, it’s almost suspiciously good value for the escape it delivers. Highly recommended—though part of us wants to keep it a secret.

We live locally and run a small business, getting away can be difficult. This spot was perfect for us as it’s close enough to town that we could check in at work when needed but secluded enough to feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. Easy access to the river and the hosts are lovely.

The Willows
Vicki has a stunning slice of paradise, where you feel a million miles away but a stones throw from town. We were even lucky enough to witness the Southern Lights one magical night. It was such a beautiful spot along the river and I highly recommend it. Vicki was incredibly communicative and the whole process was a breeze! The baby cows were gorgeous and even our dog made a friend with one, very cute and inquisitive little thing! Thanks for having us x

Had the most wonderful time at River Bend. Perfect spot for chillaxing, swimming, fishing and enjoying the Murray river for all that it has to offer. Camp sites were a decent size allowing us to place our caravan however we liked. Vicky was a very welcoming host. Will definitely be back.

My family and I inc the dogs had the most fabulous camp at Willow bank..the hosts were so welcoming the farm hand place the throne (porta loo) in the perfect spot! 😉. Would highly recommend booking in and experiencing the beauty of this property and the mighty Murray river that runs through. Thanks for a wonderful stay Vicki and Byron. See you again very soon

What a great spot, Level grassy area surrounded by river gums for shade and the beautiful Murray River at your doorstep to cool off in. Cumminication with Vicki was great and she showed us all the great spots on the way to our camp-site. Will definitely be back.

This is place offered exactly what we look for in camping, Peaceful, good fishing, a swimming hole, privacy, close to town, full phone/data access. We’ll be back again when we can enjoy a campfire as well.

We loved camping at red river gums site, near the Murray River and my dogs had a ball jumping in the water. The cows were friendly, coming near us but we didn’t mind. Easy to get to and Vicki met us there, would stay again.

So lovely! I camped here with my 9 yr old son and we both loved it. The cows were very curious but sweet and the river was incredible to cool off in on a hot day. Great communication beforehand and other campers were a nice distance away so that it felt very private. Highly recommend :)

Beautiful views, friendly hosts, privacy from other campers, large area mown down for our camping site, shady without having to set up under tree limbs, close to town with shops and restaurants. We and our dogs enjoyed our stay.

Have booked and stayed twice in 2025 and both times we extended our stay - I think that says it all ! Friendly owners who welcome you to enjoy their property situated so perfectly on the Murray river but close enough to pick up a coffee or a pizza in Albury to enjoy in camp - bliss
