Whynot is a bush block at Nerriga, only 10 minutes from the Nerriga Pub and Oallen Ford.  There are no facilities so you'll need to be self sufficient and you'll need to have your own camping toilet, and leave no trace. This corner of the world features fantastic mountain air, undulating hills and pockets of forest. Nerriga is a small locality and there is a pub serving meals, which is popular with day tourists. For outdoor adventure lovers, there is Morton National Park which is great for a daytrip or excursion. Visit Fitzroy Falls for scenic waterfall views, go mountain biking, walking or enjoy a picnic lunch. Bees Nest and Jerralong Nature Reserves are both located on the Shoalhaven River approximately 10 km north west of Nerriga. This is an extremely beautiful site and you'll have it all to yourself. Nerriga pub 10 mins away and the site is an easy drive.

A lovely place to stay - isolated and spacious. There’s so much room a bigger group could still have enough privacy apart from each other. Lots of native wildlife came to visit. Only thing is at night you can still hear the road quite well, and some aircraft. Apart from that every once in a while, it’s completely quiet and peaceful. A great place to stay.

Just what this earth girl needed to be surrounded by nature and enjoy the peace and quiet. Surrounded by kookaburras whilst reading my book. No devices for 2 days was bliss. Ranay left clear instructions on getting there and was the perfect host. Highly recommend this place.

Yet again as always this place goes above and beyond!!! Been here with groups and individually, and this place is a dream!! The fact it is single camp so you have the whole place to yourself truly makes it the one of a kind dream camp-site!!

Great place to get away. Large area to choose a spot and no one else was around. There was a little bit of noise from the road, but not enough to keep me away.

Amazing peaceful private piece of land. Ranay was an amazing host. Directions were clear and we had the whole place to ourselves! Close drive to the river and Nerriga hotel for a meal in a country pub

Ranay was a great host. Communication was amazing and it was so amazing to have the whole property to yourself. We saw some kangaroos and a goanna. Plenty of firewood to sit gazing at the fire and the spectacular stars in the sky.

Ranay was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. She made sure we knew where to go and gave us some suggestions of the best spots on her property. This land is huge and there are many areas you an pick from to set up camp. Pretty much anywhere that is flat once you pass through the second gate that has an arrow saying "HIPCAMP" you can set up camp. We saw some kangaroos while we walked around and explored her property. Too bad I wasn't able to get a photo... We ended up being the only people here and it was very quiet and private. I would recommend Whynot to anyone in the area looking for a proper bush camp. There is so much to explore on this property.

Fantastic bush block to let the kids run wild. My son had a fantastic time riding his bike around and only a short drive down the road to the Shoalhaven River for a swim. We will definitely be coming back again.

If you want a camping spot that is secluded, this is it. It's like having your own little spot of land and there is so much to explore. In other hipcamp spots, you end up directly in someone's back yard but here was totally different, complete freedom.

We spent one night at Whynot2. Pros: Natural bushland block, with mowed vehicle trails, plenty of nice spots to set up camp, and abundant firewood. Total privacy is guaranteed. Cons: We weren't aware this site is next to a busy road linking Canberra/Goulburn and Jervis Bay. Regrettably traffic noise was a major issue on the Anzac long weekend. The block isn't big enough to get away from it, at most you would be about 200-300 metres away. On the night we stayed the neighbours also had a party which meant loud music and singing long into the night. As a result of these factors, we had to cut our stay short and find peace and quiet elsewhere. We recognise these issues are totally out of the host's control, but we wish we'd known more about the location before booking. In summary, a lovely bush spot for an overnight stay if you're just passing through. Host was super friendly with great communication.

A beautiful secluded campsite. The property has lots of different pockets where you can stay, each with their own special feel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back again. We had a 13 month old with us and he loved it also. The host was also really lovely and super easy to deal with! 😊

We had a great weekend at Why Not 2. A nice quiet place to camp amongst the trees. Great central location to explore some of the nearby towns. We’ll be back soon.

This is a really beautiful spot. Really peaceful and feels like you’re a million miles from anywhere but Braidwood is an easy 40 minute drive away and Oallen ford is just down the road. We were lucky enough to be the only ones there, but even if there were others the place is plenty big enough where you would still have privacy. Easy access and plenty of flat places to park a van. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting somewhere quiet and pretty. Thanks Ranay for sharing your lovely property
