What makes our property unique: - Private 1.2km brook access with deeper areas (>6ft) perfect for swimming and fishing, and shallow beach areas more suitable for the kids. There is no vehicle access to the brook, and only a short 5min walk from many of the campsites. - A number of on-site bushwalking tracks ranging from 5 minutes to an hour, including the cave walk with local Aboriginal art, the river loop and the more challenging fire trail walk - Family-friendly with plenty of space for ball games, bike riding and picnics - Full bathroom facilities with hot showers and flushing toilets, catering for both ladies and gents - Booking numbers limited to ensure privacy and no overcrowding - Finish each night by your own campfire (pending local restrictions). Acacia Cottage is a recently refurbished modern country cabin on the doorstep of the Hunter Valley wine region, which makes this an ideal base from which to explore everything this region has to offer. The cottage is an oversized studio with comfortable modern amenities, designed by our resident architect. It features a king-sized bed, dining table with chairs, air conditioning, private bathroom and a small kitchen with a fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, cooktop, microwave, cutlery/crockery and tea/coffee supplied. The cabin has a large veranda with picnic table overlooking the idyllic grounds of Wattle Valley Farm. Clean linens, towels and individual soaps/shampoos provided. The cottage is situated on Wattle Valley Farm adjacent to our living quarters and a short walk to the iconic Wollombi Brook. During your stay, you might even come across some of our friendly native residents like wombats, kangaroos, playpus, echidnas, goannas, kookaburras, sugar gliders and black cockatoos.

We loved our stay here. Some lovely walks to do and a nice swim spot to float. We took our dachshund and she was having zoomies all the time. We enjoyed a feed at the local pub too.

Camp at Wattle Valley Farm Wollombi
Our first time camping with our youngest (6 yrs) and we all loved it. A large open field with several pitches (marked by campfire sites) and also several other pitches dotted around the bush in nooks. A short walk to the river which was a welcome way to cool off on a 39° day! FYI the water isn't clear. Hot showers and flushing toilets were good. The middle shower in the family room is temperamental and doesn't flow as well as the others. Jenna and Matt were both lovely, approachable and welcoming. The cave walk was short but sweet. Unfortunately we didn't manage to get to do the 45 min loop bush walk...next time! A short drive to Wollombi village and also a great location to explore some of the wineries in Broke. The bridge over the river, to access the site felt a bit scary driving over as it felt narrow (no barriers on the sides), especially in the dark but in looking in the wing mirrors we had a good foot or 2 either side. A successful first trip and already booking another for Easter! Thanks for giving us the bug! I loved this site and would recommend to others.

Great hosts and campsite, have been before and would go again. There's a good availability and variation in sites. We had a lovely time with our dog in a little spot surrounded by bush and near the river so we felt quite separate from everyone else, although you could still hear adjacent spots, which was to be expected

My partner and I loved camping at Wattle Valley Farm! Each spot looked very secluded and lots of room between each one. All the amenities were clean, well-maintained and uncrowded. Lots of areas to explore and a nice little creek to swim in as well!

We had a lovely time at Wattle valley farm camping. The hosts welcomed us and showed us different spots available for our tent and car. Every spots felt private and we never felt on top of the other guests. It was a really hot weekend and were really glad we could swim in the river ! Also the shower and toilet facilities were perfect, clean and enough for all the campers. U would really recommend this place for families and people with dogs.

Beautiful camping spot not too far from Sydney, hosted by absolutely lovely people! You can camp near others in the open paddock or find a more secluded campsite surrounded by trees, which was perfect for us. Having toilets & showers was such a luxury as well. Swimming in the river on such hot days was the best way to cool down! We brought our puppy and she had the best time too. Overall just loved the vibe at this site, lots of friendly people all enjoying the camping experience. Thanks Matt & Jenna for having us at Wattle Valley Farm!

We loved to camp at Matt's place.. We got a secluded area were we could rest and relax ourselves. The internet connection is very limited .. but honestly that was also a good detox from that.. We higly recommend this place

Loved our trip to Wattle Valley Farm! We had a fantastic camping trip and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The campsite was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for us. The atmosphere was just right - spacious with campsites scattered through such a great space, with enough shade for everyone. The facilities to the overall layout of the site, making it easy to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Just sitting around the campfire, exploring the surrounding area, swimming, reading made for a memorable 5 nights. We enjoyed camping on Matt and Jenna’s land, it’s a beautiful place to get back to nature. We were there for nye, which was quite busy, but we still had our privacy and amenities were never crowded.

What a wonderful place to getaway, setup camp and enjoy the surroundings. The toilets and showers are a bonus. The hosts are super friendly and extremely helpful. Not overcrowded which is credit to the host which means plenty of space between you and the other campers. The township is only 5min drive if you wanted to grab lunch or a coffee. I would recommend this place highly and already planning when to stay again.

Perfect location for a gateway with your dogs, would highly recommend to anyone wanting a scenic getaway, the site has immaculate amenities and the hosts are very kind, has a few beautiful walking trails that also feature aboriginal cave art and a river that can be used to swim in. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back !!

Such a beautiful spot! The camp ground was so beautifully spread out so you had plenty of privacy. The toilet blocks were very clean, easy walk to access the swimming spots. Matt and Jenna were so lovely and accomidating. I can't wait to return again!

Matt guided us to a secluded, bushy campsite just a short walk from the swimming hole, which was delightfully refreshing. Matt and Jenna were welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. We also really enjoyed the bushwalk to the cave and up the hill.

Mallee Cabin
Our stay in the malee cabin was perfect! Matt and Jenna are super friendly and helpful. The land was beautiful and we loved that we could explore some bush tracks on the property. The amenities were nice and clean and they even have a family friendly shower room which was really helpful! We will definitely be back.

Matt & Jenna were so friendly and accommodating, they were there to meet me and show me around their lovely farm. The farm is a great place to camp, plenty of space and beautiful fields with a few short walks around. A short cycle or drive from Wollombi. I would definitely visit again.

We had an awesome time camping at Wattle Valley Farm. 3 dads and 4 boys and endless fun and laughs - fishing, swimming, hitting golf balls round the farm, kicking the footy, there are so many things to do. My son just asked me if we could go back next weekend!

Spent and couple of nights here with a friend and enjoyed our stay. Big, open areas to camp with a decent amount of space in between camp sites. The are some sites up from the river and some in the forest so a nice variation. Showers and toilet blocks were nice with hot water and were kept clean. Wood for the fire is available but you can also forage for some dead branches. Flies were annoying but that’s Spring / Summer camping wherever you go tbh. Even keeping the site clean doesn’t stop them so just accept that you’re going to get a few if you’re going camping in these months. The noise levels from the wedding venue are quite loud so not the most peaceful place to camp but it didn’t really bother us as we had music on too or just listened to theirs tbh. Depends what you want. During the day though it’s quiet with plenty of song bird to listen to. Lots of different fishing spots to explore also. Caught one bass and saw a few carp. There’s an hour hike you can do and also some smaller walks. Definitely go down to the river as it’s peaceful and has some nice sandy areas to chill in. Phone signal is non existent here, not even a satellite went over to get a message through the whole weekend. Hosts were lovely and welcoming and explained everything in detail. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Depends what you want from your trip but if you’re ok with the above, it’s a nice clean spot to enjoy some outdoors.

Such a great spot for a weekend camp. The facilities are so clean and just what you need. The farm is beautiful with some great tent spots in between the trees. We saw a wombat in the wild for the first time! Highly recommend.

Beautiful area to visit and a wide variety of camp sites available from grass paddocks to more hidden bushier areas. There was probably 8-10 camping groups when we visited and we all had plenty of space. The facilities were great and they even have a family shower room which was convenient for wrangling a small child at shower time. Wood can be purchased on site too. The bird life was fantastic and there is a river wrapping the property. Hosts were very friendly. We will come back for a stay.
