Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse Cheeses is a small 100% Australian owned artisan dairy business. Family owned and operated, we run the 100+ head dairy herd which will supply the A grade quality milk for the gourmet cheeses.  The Dairy farm is located in the Burringbar Valley, just north of Byron Bay. Burringbar is situated at the entranceway to the Tweed which is also known as the Heartland of Australia's Green Cauldron. The sub-tropical climate allows for lush pasture to be grown all year round. Our pasture based grazing system means you taste the freshness in the milk which flows into the flavours of the local territory in the artisan cheeses. Aside from our 4th generation dairy farm and artisan cheese factorym, we also run a licensed cafe. No tents - RVs/caravans and camper trailers only. We offer several grassy sites on our property, situated in the lush green pastures of the Tweed Valley. We have a retail outlet onsite. Come and order a coffee, cheese platter, wine and local products to enjoy at your site! We're a great place for those travellers looking for a convenient stopover, in a beautiful setting, with nice additional touches.  We're close to National Parks, Murwillumbah Arts Precinct, Margaret Olley Art Gallery and Husk Distillery and just 20 mins drive to access the coast from Kingscliff to Byron Bay. We have a toilet on site. Your well-behaved pets welcome too but must be kept on a lead. No tents - RVs/caravans and camper trailers only. Just spent a couple of days at Suzanne and Paul's farm. Cows on 200 acres The camp area is quite small. That said perfect with fantastic coffee and cafe on site and super clean toilet facilities all to ourselves. Owners and their staff working in the cafe were super friendly and very easy going. Decent pub just down the road and Pottsville 10 mins by car. Northern rivers rail track is a stone throw away.

We loved our stay here. Everyone was really friendly, the cheeseboard is a must! And the facilities were clean. This is a must stay for anyone in the area or looking for somewhere easy to get to while on their journey.

We stayed for three nights and can highly recommend camping here. Rob and Suzanne couldn't be more welcoming. You have to try the cheeses make on the premises, we didn't find a bad one. So good... Easy access to the rail trail and a great spot to camp up for a base than explore this beautiful region.

So beautiful! We did a one night stop and it was lovely to be camped up right next to the cows and look out over the greenery. Plus the delicious cheese platter topped it off. No showers or anything but toilets were clean. Can hear some road noise but it didn’t bother us at all.

Friendly and helpful hosts. Clean open spaces and facilities. Food and coffee available on site at their cafe. An easy short walk to Burringbar and option to ride the NRRT. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was such a cute little spot that we thoroughly enjoyed! We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, if there were others it may not have felt so special. The toilets were super clean and there was a fire pit for us to make an epic fire and cook dinner over! Location is awesome too as we found out about the rail trail and ended up doing that cycle the next day! A couple of bike hire places only a couple of minutes down the road - a perfect Northern Rivers day out

Great spot camping with the Cows. Have stayed here several times. Suzanne makes the best gelato, oh and the whiskey cheese is delicious. A bit of road noise in the morning but not a bother for us. Rob & Suzanne are very welcoming.

So close to the rail trail! Nice view of friendly and inquisitive calves in neighbouring paddock. Toilet is clean and very handy. We also enjoyed a cheese platter, delivered to our van.

The weather wasnt great in fact it was very wet when we arrived. The host was extremely helpfull and arranged our site so we could keep as dry as possible. That plus a wonderful cheese platter made our stay a positive one.

Great spot, right near the rail trail. Had a camp fire both nights and daily visits from the cows. Cheese platter was fabulous and hosts friendly. Nice to have clean toilets also. Would recommend if doing the rail trail, you can ride a short distance to the trail and leave the van at the camp spot. Thumbs up. Mick & Carolyn.

Overall a great experience. Unfortunately the place is noisy as a traffic road is just front of. Also, farm staff not really friendly, don’t say good morning while we were seated under the patio and waiting they open the shop to have a great tasting, anyway due to their lack of welcome we prefer leaving and take our breakfast on another place.

Suzanne & family made me very welcome on arrival. And the cheese platter was delicious and excellent value for money. Easy access to the rail trail, clean toilet (but difficult to shave with no mirror!). If more than one camper, it would be crowded...but I was alone. With no power, shower or WiFi this site was a little expensive.......

Quiet, relaxing stopover in great location. Easy driving to many great places to visit or walk/ride the rail trail. If you are a cheese lover THIS is the place to stay. Camping site is at the back of the Cheese factory, hosts are very welcoming and although the cafe was closed when we were there we were able to taste the local delights. A lovely view of the countryside with friendly cows over the fence.

Luvved our overnight here. And the platter was to die for. I cant imagine not coming back for another one of those. Lovely owners who made us feel very welcome. And the fresh Gelato was delicious as we left...

We booked the Tweed Valley Farmhouse Cheeses last minute as our Hipcamp booked for Australia Day long weekend was not accessible for our size caravan. We were really impressed and plenty of room for two 20+ ft vans. Toilet block lovely and clean and filled the water tanks with potable water. Owner was very personable when speaking to him in the morning. Would love to go back and great spot if you would like to ride the Murwillumbah Rail Trail. Didn’t get to experience the cafe at Tweed Valley Farmhouse Cheeses but by all accounts is an awesome little cafe.

Cheese, camping, and more cheese! What’s not to love about this place? We stayed here for one night as a transit stop off. Loved the set up despite the rain! Being able to purchase a coffee from the on site cafe before setting off was also a big bonus. Thanks for accomodating us!

Disappointing, cramped and noisy

Never met the host. No one was around at 3.30 when l arrived. I waited until well after 4 pm when I decided I had to guess where to park my van. There wasn't much room behind cafe unless I wanted a pile of dirt, a wheelbarrow and garden shed to be my view so parked up the side and chose the lemon trees. No one came to tell me to move so l presume it was okay to park there. There was a fair bit of road noise and traffic. Not sure if it's always busy or just because it was a few days to and on New years Eve. Another big van (abt 19ft like mine and the one it parked in front of) came and parked in front of the wheel barrow the night before l left. I reckon there would have been 3 feet if that between the back of their van and the hitch of the van behind it. Definitely not spacious lots for each camper. Would not book or stay again. A rather disappointing experience.

We loved our time here, brilliant base with everything around. Very close to the Rail Trail which we rode almost everyday. Flat grassy spot for our 21 ft caravan, with water available. Coffee at the coffee shop on site and great cheeses. We extended our stay twice. Pet friendly.
