Located 25 minutes from Narrabri CBD on 200 acres at the foothills of Mount Kaputar with 360 degree mountain views, The Valley is your perfect farm camping escape. With the National Park bordering the property where there are several bush walking tracks, lookout points, 4WD tracks, Aboriginal sites, picnic locations, wildlife encounters, bike riding tracks, historical heritage, waterfalls and swimming locations. Pitch your tent or park your RV, there is plenty of room for you with us at the Valley. Nestled in at the very base of the Mount Kaputar National Park, with breath taking 360 degree mountain views. A firepit provided with wood available for purchase.​ You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. There is a picnic table for camp meals and access to rubbish facilities. ​Pets welcome, please ensure your pet is restrained if it's likely to chase our livestock. 4WDs are recommended to access our property, and are required in wet conditions.Please follow the instructions to get to camp site which will be sent out prior to your arrival. Such a lovely peaceful site, didn’t see another soul the whole time o was there. Absolutely perfect. The bush soundtrack was amazing, I could have just listened to all the birds and insects for days.

We loved camping at Kate’s property. It was private and peaceful with a fire pit and plenty of firewood. Would absolutely stay here again

We loved the Valley. Had the place to ourselves, camped near the creek. Peaceful and quiet. Minutes away from Mt Kaputar NP gates. Enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night! Thanks Kate! Cheers Jim

Terrific views of Mt Kaputa. Literally camp at the base on private property. Easy road access and the site is not far from National Park. Camp is adjacent to the road but it’s super quiet area. Amazing stars to see during clear skies. A more private campsite is available a little further into the property.

Loved it! Nice and quiet with beautiful surroundings. Got the absolute bejeezuz scared out of me when a horse snuck up on me in the dark but it was super friendly and just wanted to see if my bag of wood was some treats. Quite funny actually as we both scared each other. Would absolutely come back and hike more of Mt Kaputar too.

Should place a few pit toilets in the area, apart from that it’s a nice peaceful campground. Would be great after extended rain to get the creek flowing. But I know it’s not a high rainfall area . It’s a great base to drive up the mountains to see the lookouts and other sites to be found within the mt kaputar national park. Also close to Narrabri if you need some supplies. Great bird life in this area , also a nice view of a mountain within the national park. Crystal clear nights . When I went it was full moon it lit up that mountain for a period.

Great location only a few hundred meters from the entrance to Mt Kaputar National Park with amazing views of the mountain range. Shared the paddock with very friendly horses. Highly recommended.

Loved it at The Valley. Serene with gorgeous views and beautiful gentle friendly horses that visited us daily - totally recommend it if you like isolation and nature while being only 30mins from the town of Narrabri 😊😊

We loved the close proximity to mount Kaputar national park. The town of Narrabri was an easy 20 min drive Lots of space to choose from. We stayed down the dirt track away from the road and loved the privacy. The bird life was amazing. It was lovely that the property was a combination of natural bush and paddocks for horses and cows

What a great place to base yourself whilst exploring Mt Kaputar NP. The Valley was very private and even though it was hot during our stay there was a good mix of shade and solar for our caravan. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at the valley, it was a great location being about 15 minutes drive to town, great views and a nice creek to walk or cool down in. It was quiet and private, nobody else was there when we were there. We would definitely return and recommend it for anyone who’s looking to camp in the area. There is no phone service, this was completely fine for us but just something to keep in mind.

A great location for Kaputar National Park and such an awesome spot with level parking for caravans along with great views of the Kaputar NP. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and we hope to have the opportunity to camp here again.

We stayed here in July, used this camp as a base for the Kaputar national park for two nights and it was a beautiful spot. They provided bins and nice flat areas to set up. We camped at the bottom camp near the creek, fire pits available and wood. We were the only ones there and loved it, felt safe. We chose to spend a whole day at the valley camp instead of going back to the national park as it was such a beautiful place to relax have a fire and plenty of room for the kids to adventure, with some views of the mountains. A beautiful property thank you.

Lovely little spot for a few nights, right at the base of Mt Kaputar and perfect for exploring the park. Had the place to myself and it was sooo quiet....how's the serenity. Would stay again.

I loved the camping at the Valley. Kate was so welcoming and the back site we had near the creek was so private and secluded. We had the whole place to ourselves. We were able to have a lovely fire every night and we could collect fire wood on the property. Also a bin for rubbish was provided which was very helpful. The site was flat and grassy. They Valley was also so close to the Mt Kaputar National Park which was very handy for the lookouts and hiking. Also only 25 minutes into Narrabri for essentials. Thank you Kate.

We stayed 4 nights at The Valley. It was very close to the base of Mt Kaputar National Park. We decided not to tow our hybrid camper up into the National park so staying at The Valley was close enough to do day trips. It was also close enough to drive back into Narrabri and do day trips into the other areas of the national park and around Narrabri. The camping spots on the property were great - sheltered, peaceful with lovely surroundings. We stayed down the track away from the road but anywhere would have been quiet. We really enjoyed our time there.

Level clear sites for caravan and camper. Fire pit, gorgeous view of Mt Kaputar, and selcusion. Kate’s access directions were clear and she C was responsive to any contact. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here- perfect base to access Mt Kaputar.

We enjoyed our stay in the paddock. We were the only ones staying. We drove down from the gate to a clearing and set up next to a shade tree. The horses were funny. Visited us at night, right in under the annex! This stay is right at the base of Mt Kapatur. Don't be tempted to tow up the hill, best to stay at the base. We didn't have a fire as the temps were high 30s.

Lovely, quiet, private spot. Absolutely loved the old 508 Sunshine Harvester at the campsite. The location at the base of the stunning Mt Kaputar is fantastic, as is the easy access to Narrabri attractions, such as the Australia Telescope Compact Array.

Really close to Mount Kaputar National Park which was the reason for our stay. The spot we chose was well away from the main road but you would need a small caravan to get down there and probably 4wd and off road van. Very private and the horses are very friendly! The other area just inside the gates is right next to the road ( which isn't very busy) and has a nice view.

The location of the camp site ( rough paddock) to the National Park was great. The National Park was lovely and the work the rangers have done is great. As for the Valley accommodation I would not recommend it. Over priced, the paddock was completely over grown and scratched up our cars and van / trailers.

Only 2 sites , 1 in the bush , 1 near the road with a view of Mt Kaputar but very quiet , we chose this one. Only a couple of minutes to the road up to the top of Mt Kaputar, well worth staying here to do the walks of the national Park. The hosts were great and had excellent fire wood available.

Perfect base for Mt Kaputar.

Great base to explore Mt Kaputar National Park. Large slashed area in a paddock. We choose the site closest to the road as easiest to get to but barely any traffic. Second site was further towards the creek and still large but more wooded. Horses were extremely friendly and were very curious of my nighttime photography, looking over my shoulder.

Bush Camping at its Best

This is a perfect place to camp, especially to access Mt Kaputar NP, a 5 minute drive. We love camping in the bush, and we had a beautiful site that felt kilometers from anyone. You need to be self sufficient and totally off grid. Hosts Kate and Jake were gracious and we ended up extending our stay to 5 nights. Highly recommend
