Our second visit to The Hut didn’t disappoint. If you want your own secluded piece of the upper Clarence without the crowds and you’d like some creature comforts - this is your place. Jess has the Hut set up so you can just roll in and start to relax and watch that amazing view. The river also fished the best we’ve seen it with a 40+cm Bass caught almost directly under the hut!

Great spot, very private with beautiful views. Getting down to the river was a bit of a fun challenge via the nearest walking track, easier if you go for a very short drive to the recommended swimming spot.

Very private spot, you have your very own part of the Clarence and are far from the road so it’s really peaceful. The access is great and surrounded by green pastures and tall gums. The views of the river and sunsets from the cabin are beautiful!

The views are to die for and the hospitality is warm and welcoming. Jess is a fantastic host who has thought of everything and more to make your stay exceptional. The hut is corralled in a cattle free zone of its own, with plenty of space for a group to swag/camp in additional to the hut + donga if you prefer to sleep under the stars. Our kelpies had plenty of space for a morning run and a dip in the dam. We navigated access with our 4wd and Offroad camper trailer with no problem at all, although a 2wd especially if towing would not make it due to the uphill sections of the track. Great way to spend Xmas with rivers and national parks all around there's plenty of opportunities to explore.

The “Hut” was in an absolutely beautiful place, far enough out of the way to be completely private, but not too far to be isolated.
Jessica the host was easy and a pleasure to deal with.
Hut and cabin were clean and had every you need for a weekend away from the busyness of the working life.

A fabulous working farm and spot to camp and stay at the Ponderosa Hut just outside Copmanhurst. A fabulous fire pit and great basic facilities for a couple of families to enjoy the Clarence River and the rolling hills around about.
A step up from camping with warm showers, toilets, a kitchen, electricity and a bed in the hut if you need it!

Jess was a great host! We were a friends group of 6-9 people and enjoyed our stay so much. The area is absolutely stunning and the hut was very clean. We enjoyed a day at the lake and walking around. At night it’s the perfect spot for marshmallows by the fire. Thanks for everything, we would definitely recommend it!

Great spot to land for a large family stay. River is spectacular. The dam is gorgeous. Beautiful fire under the stars. Jess is a legend host. If you like photography this spot will excite you. Well stocked cosy accommodation!

Jess was a very accommodating host. The views are stunning. You basically get a whole world for yourself and don’t see or hear anyone else besides nature and farm animals. Just what we wanted. The kids had a ball and were sad to leave.

So peaceful, private and relaxing. A magnificent property on the Clarence River with views to die for. It was hard not to lose time just sitting at the bar overlooking the river and taking in the endless views. We enjoyed a paddle on the river in the kayaks, beautiful peaceful nights around the large fire pit, and the comfort of hot water showers. Jess goes above and beyond to ensure that everything is provided for an enjoyable and problem free stay. We look forward to going back for another visit.

Loved our escape to the country! We had a really relaxing and peaceful time at The Hut. The drive in was also exciting but easily managed in my SUV so don't let thst put you off. We will most definitely be back!

The most amazing place if you aren’t bothered by a few bugs, love nature, views, serene environment, fresh air, star gazing - absolutely amazing. Amenities make the trip so seamless. You won’t regret it!

I could not recommend this stay any more. We had the most amazing time at Jess’ property. The hut and donga are equipped with everything you need for an easy comfortable holiday. We brought our dogs too and they absolutely loved exploring the well kept areas around the farm. 10/10 would recommend! Just a note, make sure you take a 4WD to access. :)

Real easy drive to get there from Grafton.

Beautiful property with amazing views from the hut.
Hut is fully set up for an epic stay! Loads of fire wood on the property.
Would recommend for anyone only a short drive back to Copermanhurst too.

Great campsite for a group. The view was amazing and the 2 cabins clean and comfortable. Host supplies all you could need for cooking so we only had to pack our food for the weekend. There's ample to cover a group. Plenty of chairs as well and the fire pit is large enough that everyone can sit around it. the area is fenced off and the grass maintained so we had lots of space for some ball games. River access was a little tricky from the actual campsite but the host showed us another spot we could use on their property for easier access (barely 5 minute drive). The host was very helpful and answered all my queries promptly (sorry there were so many!). We can't wait to get back!

We had a superb weekend at ‘The Hut’! The property has incredible views, no shortage of things to do (water activities, hiking, 4WD, games), and plenty of wildlife.
We enjoyed waking up to “moos” from Jess’ cattle and having a coffee overlooking stunning landscape.
‘The Hut’ is located at the top of a cliff & is super quiet and private. It was the perfect spot for us to enjoy a peaceful few nights by the campfire.
Jess was an awesome host and has not missed a detail in making ‘The Hut’ an incredible getaway for campers.
We highly recommend groups of any size visit ‘The Hut’ for their next getaway!

The Hut was THE BEST place to stay. We didn’t want to leave! Our group of 9 was perfectly accommodated (2 families of 2 + 2 kids, 2 + 3 kids) plus 3 dogs. We hiked around the property, rode bikes, played board games, lounged in the hammock, explored the river path, and enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit from sunset. Even the 4WD trek in was super exciting for us city slickers 😆.
It had everything we needed: camp chairs, crockery, cutlery, umbrella shades, bbq, even a fridge and sandwich press!
Jess is the best host and we highly recommend staying here. You won’t regret it!

We really enjoyed the solitude and beautiful mountain crews.
A great location with no reminders of the day to day fast pace world we try to get away from.
Jess was fantastic helping us find our way and was extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions.
The hut itself is great and fully self contained with barbecue, all cooking utensils, fridge, toaster and kettle.
The part we were impressed most with was that all camp chairs and umbrellas were provided. We arrived with so much extra gear that simply wasn’t needed.
Thanks so much guys and we are looking forward to returning with some more family and friends to show them your beautiful part of the world.
