We’re a small family on a beautiful 5-acre farm next to the Brunswick River in Mullumbimby. We practice permaculture and organic fruit and vegetable farming. Camp under shady trees or in a grassy paddock. We are 10 mins from the Brunswick Heads rivers and beaches. Simple amenities including an outdoor shower. You can purchase firewood or bring your own. Dogs permitted as long as they are kept on a leash or kept within the campsite and it's left clean. All rubbish must be removed. Restricted numbers so you can be sure you won't feel overcrowded. Contact us if any days aren't available as we often get cancellations. There's a country feel yet it's 3 mins away from the thriving township of Mullumbimby. Lots of cafes, artisan shops, Kiva spa, Banya bathhouse and amazing healthy food everywhere. Or enjoy the nightly pilgrimage of the flying foxes across the evening sky. The campsite is set on a bank above the river. Nice shade for the summer. This site is suitable if the weather is particularly wet as there is a circular cobble road down at the site which vehicles can park on. There is a spacoius grassy area next the road. Suitable for camper vans, caravans, roof top campers and tents. Solar aspect is good off the cobble road for the summer but the ground may be too wet if its very rainy. We are 10 mins from the Brunswick Heads rivers and beaches, 20 mins from Byron Bay and 3 mins to Mullumbimby town centre. Simple amenities including an outdoor shower. You can purchase firewood or bring your own. Dogs permitted as long as they are kept on a leash or kept within the campsite & it's left clean. All rubbish must be removed.

The campsite is set on a bank above the river. Nice shade for the summer. All weather 2WD road. There is a small flat grassy area next to the road which is suitable for a medium to large size tent or gazebo. Vehicles, rooftop tents or small caravans can park on the road with an awning or a seperate gazebo extending into the site. There is another small grassy area to the left on the other side of the road that can also be used to camp or have a fire. Larger setups are best suited to The Haven River Flats or the Pines area. We are 10 mins from the Brunswick Heads rivers and beaches, 20 mins from Byron Bay and 3 mins to Mullumbimby town centre. Simple amenities including an outdoor shower. You can purchase firewood or bring your own. Dogs permitted as long as they are kept on a leash or kept within the campsite & it's left clean. All rubbish must be removed.

We loved camping at Grant's place, very quiet, very cute with the little garden, trees and the creek. I highly recommend. I had an amazing shower with wild berries growing at my feet 👌🏻 Thank you.

What a beautiful site right next to the Brunswick River and tall trees all around. Facilities very cute with strawberries growing around the shower. Communication with Grant was easy. Very close to Mullumbimby but feels miles away from civilisation. Would happily stay again.

We had a very nice stay at The Haven. Would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a bit of privacy that you don't get at a big campground. Bush Toilet and shower were very nice and clean. Thanks Grant!

We loved camping there. Very calm and relaxing. The shower is a plus, amazing experience to shower with the strawberries on your feet and flowers everywhere. We will definitely come back very soon. Thank you Grant :)

We had a lovely time on Grant's property The Haven - ridiculously close to Mullum and perfectly drivable for day trips to the beach at Byron, Lennox Heads and Brunswick Heads. Super cute shower and clean composting toilet. Grant said a quick hello but left us to our devices, and checked in on us after we didn't make it back to site after dark (just checking we weren't stuck on a mountain somewhere - very thoughtful!). Would highly recommend. Thanks Grant

We loved our stay at haven river flat. Beautiful site close to the creek, amazing facilities (big big fan of the outdoor shower!). Grant was super lovely and easy to reach out to. Definitely will come back to stay.

Firstly, the host, Grant, was informative and accommodating with pre-visot communication and suggestions on picking the ideal site according to my setup. Very much appreciated. Camp site was clean, well maintained and flat. Access to the creek only 50m away. Great spot to relax.

A lovely quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of other holiday parks. The eco-toilet is clean and odourless, the outdoor shower is heavenly. Enjoy being in a lovely property just a short distance from central Mullumbimby!

Grant was a friendly and accomodating host who happily shared his site with us. It was a lovely, quiet spot right he near the heart of Mullumbimby. The amenities were fantastic, and to have a hot outdoor shower in a cute tin hut with greenery was such a treat on a sunny day!

It was so so beautiful. I loved it and didn't want to leave. Waking up to the sound of the creek every morning was so peaceful and Grant was really lovely and helpful. The outdoor shower was a treat ! Having a fire at night and looking up at the Milky Way was really special .It feels so private and secluded but it's only a couple of minutes to Mullum. I will definitely be back!

Easy access with a caravan. Our site was private and shaded by many trees. Great fire pit. Loved the outdoor shower. Very close to the showgrounds for weekly markets on a Friday which was a bonus.

What a wonderful spot. I love the area and Grant’s place is where I will stay from now on. Easy directions and excellent communication. The campsite was perfect. Fire pit. Firewood. Loved the simple composting toilet and the outdoor shower was a bonus. I would highly recommend this spot

A lovely, private spot above the creek. Just a few minutes out of the main drag of Mullumbimby. Grant left clear instructions which was great as he unfortunately was not able to meet with us.

Haven Pines
Grant's place is very well located just minutes west of Mullumbimby. It is relatively spacious and the property itself feels private, with trees all the way around. Grant was welcoming and gifted a box of produce from his trees. The site is quiet and the camp spots are grassy and well mowed. It had a relaxed feel. The drop toilet was clean and the outdoor shower was lovely and warm, albeit with a vine now growing over the top (which just added to the charm). However, please note the following. While we were staying, there were five groups on the property, three at the Pines (where we were) and two at River Flats. While the listing does not indicate exclusive use of either site, we were surprised that this happened, as were our neighbours. One of the sites was being used for a semi-permanent guest. Please don't expect to see the rows of vegetables shown in the photos. They are long gone (due to flooding, we were told) and this space is now long grass.

Grant met us when we arrived and showed us around + had a great chat! The site was beautiful, flat and surrounded by nature! Also, the shower was nice and hot! Would 1000% recommend this stay for anyone else!

Great little spot close to markets and the main town of Mullumbimby. Grant was very helpful and accommodating. Nice guy. Don’t be put off by the outdoor shower and toilet they were perfect. Would definitely visit again.

Situated by a creek amongst tropical rainforest trees , this place is a great place for spring, summer and autumn 🍂 a little too shaded by the trees in the winter along the creek but there are other areas higher up. Clean compost loo and unique outdoor hot water shower 😍 Grant is a fabulous, accommodating and friendly host 😄 close proximity to Mullum and all it has to offer was great 😊

To be completely honest it wasn’t what we where looking for The host was nice an met us on arrival He showed us our options to where could set up camp The place was quite an the atmosphere was amazing Toilet an showers where clean tidy an sooo usable I would recommend this to other campers for a overnighter

We stayed at Grant’s property for one night last weekend. We were at the River Flats and had the place to ourselves. Our dog loved it! Even though the property is conveniently close to both Mullumbimby and Federal, it felt like we were far away from the outside world! The campsite was nice and flat and private with its own fire pit. Grant was really helpful and very prompt with communication. We would definitely go back!
