600 acres on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Murrurundi. On the property you can enjoy scenic bushwalks, a seasonal creek, a large dam and plentiful native wildlife including kangaroos, deer, birdlife and more. Depending on where you set up camp, you can walk or drive into the quaint village of Murrurundi. Situated on the New England Highway, Murrurundi is 30 minutes drive from Scone, 1 hour from Tamworth and 3 hours from Sydney. A picturesque town, nestled on the eastern side of the Great Dividing Range and boasts natural beauty, rich farming land and plenty of character. In town you'll find the recently opened Magpie Gin Distilery, art galleries (including Michael Reid and David Darcy), pubs, historic buildings and every May the King of the Ranges Stockmans Challenge.

Your own exclusive site on top of a mountain with views over the Liverpool Ranges. To access the site you will need a 4WD, follow a grass track to the top of a mountain escarpment. This site is not suitable for off road caravans and access may be affected after rain. Due to the rocky outcrops and steep cliff faces, this site is not suitable for children. The site is located on 700 acres of semi cleared bushland which you are welcome to explore. Please be mindful that there may be campers on other areas of the property. On the property you can enjoy scenic bushwalks, a seasonal creek, a large dam and plentiful native wildlife including kangaroos, deer, birdlife and more. The site is a 5 minute drive from the picturesque town of Murrurundi. Situated on the New England Highway, Murrurundi is 30 minutes drive from Scone, 1 hour from Tamworth and 3 hours from Sydney. A picturesque town, nestled on the eastern side of the Great Dividing Range and boasts natural beauty, rich farming land and plenty of character. In town you'll find the recently opened Magpie Gin Distilery, art galleries (including Michael Reid and David Darcy studio), pubs and historic buildings. Annually in May the King of the Ranges Stockmans Challenge is held. A two minute drive away is the Eye of the Needle walk, Burning Mountain Nature Reserve is 15 minutes down the New England Highway and the Timor Caves are 30 minutes away. The street leading to the property is gravel and the access to the campsites is mowed grass tracks. Fires are permitted in designated areas and firewood can be provided for an additional fee of $20. There are no facilities here, so you will need to be self contained with your own toilet, and leave no trace when you go. Dogs are permitted if they are well trained and do not chase wild life or bark excessively. We are new to hosting and Temple Court is a work in progress, we appreciate your feedback on your stay.

Park your van or pitch your tent beside beautiful Boyd’s Creek. Fire rings ready for roasting marshmallows and boiling the billy and picnic tables at 2 of the sites. Nestled away 5km from Murrurundi, Boyd’s Creek is Home to an abundance of wildlife including your stay you may spot echidnas, kangaroos and deer. Firewood available for $20 a bundle but we require 24 hours notice to arrange. Access may be restricted if we have received a lot of rain.

700 acres of free range camping on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Murrurundi. There are a number of cleared, mowed and level sites on the property to chose from - dam side, valley views, between the trees. We ask that you don't camp in site of other campers to ensure the privacy and enjoyment of everyone. On the property you can enjoy scenic bushwalks, a seasonal creek, a large dam and plentiful native wildlife including kangaroos, deer, birdlife and more. The lower area of the property around the entrance is accessible by 2WD, however if you wish to explore beyond the creek you will need a 4WD. The street leading to the property is gravel and the access to the campsites is mowed grass tracks. Fires are permitted in designated areas and firewood is available for an additional fee of $20, however we require 24hours notice if you are booking firewood. Depending on where you set up camp, you can walk or drive into the quaint village of Murrurundi. Loved our night here. Lovely picturesque and peaceful setting by the dam with a nice flat site for our little van. The view looked like an oil painting!

Camped at site 2 next to the dam, was peaceful even though the weather was turned bad, dogs loved swimming in the dam, couldn't get them out of there. Probably the best camp we've had on our trip.

"We spent Valentine's Day in a serene campsite, surrounded by breathtaking views and quality time with my lovely wife. Having the entire site to ourselves felt like a dream come true. We cozied up with extra firewood, enjoying the warmth and each other's company under the starry sky. The tranquility and romance of the night made it an unforgettable experience."

Amazing near 360 degree views from this very private and clean campsite made this a lovely spot for a weekend camp. We saw a wide selection of birds, Roos, and an echidna. Trains are heard in the background, although not intrusive, and there are also views (and minor town noise) to and from the delightful town of Murrurindi. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This is a beautiful site with ample space, great views and privacy - I didn't even see any other campers while I was there. Amanda's communication was excellent with responses within minutes and clear instructions to the property.

Worst Information on a Hipcamp

This was a waste of time we received no information on where our camp site was we had a name from the site and they gave numbers on inadequate signs we continued as could not see the name of our site when we go to the end and another property started and only found a locked gate with a lock we did not have a code for. We had to back our caravan out of a difficult area to come back. Had no phone number or way to contact owner. So could not stay and gave emailed Hipcamp for a refund. Do not recommend a complete waste of time. Please refund our money as we could not use.

Overall we had a wonderful experience! It was very secluded, peaceful and we encountered lots of wildlife. We felt very safe, knowing that the entry gate was locked and there are some great coffee shops within a 10 min drive. The stars at night are beautiful and there is service, which was helpful. There were only two negatives, the sound of trains throughout the day/night and the entry gate was quite difficult to find. In saying this we would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back someday. Thank you!

My wife, two kids and puppy LOVED this site. We were dropped a generous amount of timber for our short 2 night stay. We set up on beautiful Boyd’s creek where we enjoyed the tranquility of the flowing stream. We enjoyed a lot of frog hunting and tadpole hunting with the sounds of croaks at bedtime. We would definitely be back to this beautiful campsite! ☺️

Campsite 2 by a small dam was very spacious to set up caravan. It was a quiet, pretty location with absolute privacy surrounded by bushland. There was an abundance of wildlife to watch on our hikes. Amanda was an excellent, prompt communicator and her directions to the property were very clear. Very happy to have stayed at this campsite.

Camping ground was kept immaculate. Quiet and relaxing. Weather wasn’t on our side so unable to enjoy what was on offer. But definitely will return.

The camp site was fantastic. Very private and with a great view from the mountain site. It was easy to get to with our 4WD, was peaceful and we saw plenty of kangaroos and wallaby’s. Would 100% recommend a visit here. Amanda was really responsive and kind. We’ll be back for sure.

Absolutely stunning spot! Must have a 4WD to get to Site 1 and probably not a Ram or larger. We had a Cruiser and 4WD camper and no issue. Beautiful views and total tranquility. Host was lovely and checked in to make sure all was ok.

This property is magic. Beautiful views. Peace and quiet. Plenty of shade and open spaces. The firewood is generous and the picnic table already in place is very welcome. Just turn up and relax. Amanda and Royce are wonderful to deal with, quick to respond and we will be back again. If you don’t like to camp with neighbours, this is perfect. Thank you.

We loved everything about our stay. The property is beautiful and the sites were so generous, there were slashed tracks everywhere so we were able to go for beautiful walks. Wildlife galore and really close to town! Amanda’s communication and the way she welcomed us to her property was also really lovely. We will definitely be back!!!
