Spirit of the Forest is one of the oldest properties in the area. Many years ago it was an old dairy farm, but it has been through many transitions since then.... uniquely situated only a few kms. from the majestic "Grandis" tree it has an abundance of wildlife close by, wallabies come out to feed on the pasture at dusk and dawn, mighty eagles soar overhead and beautiful Arabian horses run free in the paddocks. Trevor and Maya moved here from Berry NSW 17 years ago. Trevor is an internationally acclaimed entertainer and horse whisperer and Maya is an artist, author and lecturer. Both found the property a haven from their busy schedule of performing overseas. A unique 70 acre Arabian horse property, surrounded by Myall Lakes National Park 4 kms from "The Grandis" the tallest tree in NSW and 10 kms from Bulahdelah Town also near to beautiful North Coast beaches. There are many beautiful areas to choose from, suitable for tents or caravans with easy two wheel & four wheel drive access....  Sites to suit all tastes, from wide open spaces to hideaways beside the forest that surrounds our little "Peace" of heaven! Toilets, fresh water & fire pits are supplied, and good quality fire wood is available for sale on site. Pets are allowed, by arrangement, but must be kept on leads... 2 vehicles per site allowed (including caravan) A portable 240v generator (1) is available for hire $10.00 a day, fuel included, advance booking.

Camping with horses and wallabies

My partner and I absolutely loved our short stay on Trevor's land, with wild wallabies and quiet surroundings. Trevor was a great host and showed us around his land, including horses and dogs. He was also very welcoming and loved to show us around. I can definitely recommend staying here

A beautiful spot with wonderful hosts. Firepits on every site and so much open space. Arab horses in the fields and a pack of whippets for our whippet to befriend was just the icing on the cake! We will certainly be back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are great, the property is beautiful. Plenty of animals to entertain the kids. Easy to find and close enough to Bulledelah to pick up necessities. Good value. One suggestion, better washing up facilities would be great.

Trevor’s property was stunning, lots of beautiful grassy areas and tall trees around the perimeter. The camp sites were well spaced out and Trevor gave us the opportunity to pick our spot. There were plenty of level pitches to choose from. Each site had a fire pit and there was plenty of wood you could buy. The Hipcamp is close to lots of beautiful areas to explore. Trevor was very attentive, wanting to make sure we had an enjoyable stay, yet not intrusive. We would highly recommend this Hipcamp and hope to return to explore some more. Many thanks

Absolutely loved this beautiful place. We camped for 3 nights and had a great time exploring the lovely forest around, biking and visitng Myall national park area. Sites are very well spaced- It was a long weekend and was full but inspite of that we still got complete privacy and had lovely open views without any obstruction. The highlight of the trip was talented Trevor performing to all during sunset with his beautiful voice and few amazing songs! He is a global performer and we felt very priviledged to have listed to him. Thanks again for giving us this memorable experience. Would love to visit again to camp and also horsewhispering workshop.

Campsite was great, lots of flat land for tents, grass well kept and minimal mosquitos. Trevor was a great host who checked in every morning to see if we needed anything and allowed us to meet his animals. Really enjoyed our stay.

Trevor has a beautiful property. We had a peaceful night listening to the frogs and birds of the surrounding forest. Would recommend and we will return again at some point.

It was great two nights, its open beautiful ground looking at the mountans , Trevor comes around every day two make sure we are alright and provided guidance and advice . We will be back again . Thanks Trevor. Chris and 5 other boys 😄

I enjoyed the large space and greenery, horse paddock and pond. Really appreciated the quality toilet paper in the chemical partaloos too! Trevor was wonderful with his guitar and singing on Sunday night at sunset

This was a FANTASTIC place,an absolute gem, Trevor and his lovely wife Maya are the perfect hosts, Trevor put on an impromptu gig of telling really interesting stories and playing guitars and singing we were all captivated by Trevor's amazing life experiences, we will be making this a regular camp

We had an amazing time here! Trevor is very welcoming and has a beautiful open space to camp in. There was so much room to each pitch we could hardly see anyone else. Each pitch comes with a fire pit too. If you’re lucky, Trevor might treat you to a music show or horse whispering demonstration as he did with us which was fantastic. Absolutely recommend, we’ll be back!

The property was fantastic. The host Trevor met us when we arrived and showed us to our site. He was very helpful and wanted to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We took his advice and went for a drive through the national park and it was great. It was a lovely place and we will definitely stay again. I would recommend this property to anyone.

We were lucky enough to have the site entirely to ourselves which was amazing! We had a fantastic stay, you could hear traffic from the road, but it didn't bother us at all. Being greeted every morning by Wallabies will always be pretty special! Thanks for a fabulous stay guys!

Beautiful spot, Trevor was a great host. The site was huge with plenty of space, even though there were lots of campers you felt like you were isolated with plenty of space to set up your camp.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Spirit of the Forest, thanks to Trevor's exceptional hospitality! From the moment we arrived, Trevor made us feel so welcome and at home. He has a natural way with people, especially kids – our little ones were absolutely thrilled with his friendly and cheerful demeanor. It’s clear he genuinely enjoys making sure everyone, big and small, has a great time. What stood out most was how respectful Trevor was of everyone’s privacy while still being attentive to our needs. He consistently checked in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, without being intrusive. It’s rare to find someone who strikes that perfect balance, and Trevor does it effortlessly. If you're looking for a peaceful, welcoming, and family-friendly camping experience, Spirit of the Forest is the perfect choice. Great to be back and be able to stay on such a beautiful property. You'll be surrounded by nature, wallabies, all types of birds, a gorgeous treescape that circles the property and not to mention an incredible view of the stars at night. Thank you for having us again.
