Unfortunately due to Hipcamps changes to insurance we are no longer accepting bookings and the site will be closed permantly from 14th January 2024. All current bookings will be honoured. We thank everyone for their support in staying at our site. 'Serenita' was purchased in 2017 as a run down 'junk yard' with the vision to get it to where it is today. 'Serenita' means serenity and that's exactly what this place is. It is a 5 acre hobby farm with dogs, cows, chickens and a rooster, koi fish, turtles and wild kangaroos, ducks, kookaburra's and cockatoos. Each year we are lucky enough to have Kingfishers nesting on the property and nesting white cockatoos. At times you may even have a visit from wild deer. The camp site is a large section of land sectioned off to the rear of the property with a firepit and firewood supplied. The dam has lots of yabbies and you are welcome to trap and you may just have a feed the next day. Access to our property is via a private road where the public road ends so we are very secluded. With only 2 neighbours using the private road traffic past the campsite is virtually non existent. Being Hipcampers ourselves we saw the need to provide a property set in the natural bushland that is easily accessible, available for overnight stops on long trips or week long camping for families or groups throughout the year. Close to the beaches of Jervis Bay and close but far enough away from the shopping centres of Nowra and Vincentia for all your supplies. 'Serenita' is the ideal switch off place lying in the hammock under the trees with a cold one in hand. We are forever trying to improve the land spreading a lot of soil around to try and improve the grassed areas but the rains of 2022 had other ideas but our mission is to get the area fully grassed. We are also planning on building a jetty for the dam if we get the water level low enought to get it done. Finally we leave the campers to their own privacy as if you were in the bush on your own but we are always just a message away if you need anything or just advice on the area. Check in is after 12 pm and checkout is 11 am.

      Serenita is a cool little campsite, which you get all to yourself. There were hammocks set up in the trees and a nice big cast iron fire pit with firewood all ready for us. David and Suzzie were frequently in touch in the lead up to our stay, making sure we were aware of recent heavy rain, and that we could find our way easily. At night we really felt like we were in the wild, birds, insects and frogs singing us to sleep! Great stay and hopefully we'll come by again one day to see what's changed.

      Nice little quiet spot amongst the trees with a little dam if you wanted to get some yabbies. Fenced area so provides a good off leash space if you are travelling with your pooch also. Secluded, peaceful and away from all the hustle and bustle, only a short drive into Huskinson if you wanted to spend the day exploring the shops. Would def stay here again if we were in the area.

      Wonderful private space. The doggo loved it. Hubby caught lots of yabbies so he was very happy!! Suzzie our host was lovely. I would definitely recommend this place if you are after some quiet in nature

      We had a lovely fire and camp under the trees. The outlook could be improved. We located ourselves next to the fire which meant we looked over a swampy dam overflow and farm debris. A moveable fire pit would allow better options.

      You can pick a shady or sunny part of the site to set up camp. 2 hammocks, table&chairs and fire pit are already set up. We used the trees to set up another hammock, a swing and slack line for our kids and there was a grassy area they could kick a ball around. We did see some yabbies in the dam too.

      Easy to access site that is on a private semi-rural road just past Nowra heading South. Good fire pit area and a clearing near a dam where we set up camp. Neighbouring houses visible on two sides, but reasonable distance so as not to disturb. Unfortunately, we had heavy rain that evening which did make it muddy underfoot. As more grass comes through, the site will be good in all sorts of weather.

      Great Hipcamp, perfect as you had the place to yourself with tables chairs to cubicles to put your shower and toilet inside. Plenty of firewood supplied by the host and a very quiet, peaceful night. Thoroughly recommend we will definitely be back.

      An amazing place to stay.,Waking up to kangaroos passing through or the odd Possum being a little to curious for its own good. Close to Jervis Bay and Nowra makes it a perfect place to stay and the serenity . Will definitely come back .

      This was honestly the best camp site we came across throughout our time in NSW. It was beautifully secluded, GREAT location and an amazing layout with fireplace hammocks tables and chairs amount the beautiful gum trees. I really missed leaving this place. The site is great for a small or large group with PLENTY of room to setup. Flat ground, a section to put chemical toilet and ur own shower/ the hosts have really made this place something special. The hosts were lovely and very helpful and i give them 10/10! Would 10000% recommend I wish we stayed here longer

      If you’re fully self-sufficient this is a great option for the Jervis Bay Area. Fire pit, flat block, fully fenced for our dog to have some off leash time.
