We had an absolutely fantastic 7-day stay, largely thanks to our wonderful host, Mick. He was incredibly gracious and attentive, consistently checking in to ensure we were comfortable and well-settled. The property itself is a haven of peace and quiet – enjoying the fresh apples in such a tranquil setting was a real treat.
> A special note about the firewood: while the large crate might seem a bit expensive initially, it's genuinely huge and filled with high-quality wood that burns beautifully – perfect for cozy evenings! It's definitely worth the investment. We highly recommend pre-ordering it, as Mick puts in considerable effort to have it ready for your arrival.
> Honestly, this was one of our best getaways, and we are already looking forward to returning many times. Highly recommended!

Absolutely perfect piece of land in a perfect part of NSW! Steven was so lovely and accomodating and happy to give us some great tips about the site. Even though it was super busy being a long weekend we felt safe and had enough privacy to ourselves. The bathroom and kitchen attached are also well clean and a welcome facility!

This is one of the best camping spots I've been to! I love the fact that they didn't squeezed in campers even if it’s a long weekend, that's why we really enjoyed a relaxing stay.

Small but just the right size for camping without being over crowded. Toilets and shower with heaps of hot water. River flows all the time. Cows are friendly and Mick and his wife weee a pleasure to deal with. Recommend stay.

The property is gorgeous and the caretaker is very helpful and friendly.

Roma Orchard was a great spot! Nice level sites overlooking the river with onsite fire pits. The cows and alpacas were a hit with the kids, and the apple orchard and vineyards were fun to explore. Steven was a great host, sharing local knowledge and stopping by each day to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Highly recommend Roma Orchard to anyone travelling through the area.

We loved camping amongst the trees and walking through the apple orchard and cooling off in the creek and meeting the llamas. Definitely a place to visit again.

Roma Orchard Campground
This is our second time at Roma orchard, and it was better second time around.
This time we came with our camping friends and family. The camping grounds lush green and well mowed. The loos and showers clean and hot water. The camp kitchen clean and had everything you need.
Mick greeted us on arrival and made us feel at home. Mick even warned us that a storm was on the way and stopped to chat of most days.
We relaxed in the shade of the big beautiful paulowina trees, which reduced the heat by about 10 degrees. Then we chilled out in the junction of Omadale Brook and the Hunter river. Then we discovered the swimming hole for our dogs to swim in. Don’t forget your floating tubes so you can float down the river so much fun.
What a great spot at the base of the Barrington mountains which is only a short drive to the national park. A must see the dingo gate and the pines.

Amazing place
Great place to stay we stayed 1 night and will definitely be back. We also tried the Apple wine on arrival it was great at the end of the day travelling. Great host and fantastic spot

Nice spot on the river. About 10 mins drive out of Moonan flat - we had dinner at the pub. Great spot if passing through the area.

Lovely little spot. Nice grassy area to camp, which is surrounded by high covering trees, a soft river and a couple of alpacas. Very quiet and peaceful

The toilet and shower is a huge bonus.

We loved staying at Roma Orchard. The site and facilities were wonderful. We loved the walk through the orchard and the vineyard. The sound of the creek and the river was very peaceful. Our drive through Barrington Tops which was close by was a wonderful day's outing. Mick was a friendly host and very inviting and helpful.

Great camp spot! Beautiful views, fall asleep listening to the running water of the creek! Got to go Apple picking and see some alpacas! Facilities were good, but the showers needed a bit of a clean (which I did and it was fine). We had the camp ground to ourselves, it was great! Host is super friendly and helpful! Just a short walk to swim in the running creek was beautiful and a great way to spend a 40 degree summer day! Highly recommend!

Best overall campaign experience after 10+ campaigns trips. Good location, wonderful views, many things to do at site and around. A wonderful care taker too. Highly recommended for families for an off the grid experience

Spacious property with plenty of room. Nice and secluded to enjoy some downtime. Amenities were great, showers and toilets basic but served their purpose. great camp kitchen with huge picnic table, sink with hot water and pretty new large hooded barbeque. Great lunch available on weekends at the Moonan Flat pub only 10 minutes away.
