Riverside Camping on the Clarence

Nice grassy location, overlooking river. Noisy by the road, earbuds soon sort that out. John was lovely came and helped us find our spot and out of the river as we arrived by Canoe.

It was great to enjoy the sunset direct on the river bank. Only a little drive from the next township if you feel like a coffee in the morning. The road is a bit close.

Beautiful view

Beautiful setting. Watch the sunset over the water. Only 4 spots and we were the only campers. Plenty of grass for kids to play. Fires permitted. Only downside is the old highway behind. Just take ear plugs

Lovely and close to the river

We only had a very short stay and we were glad there was no one else there as the sites seemed to be unnecessarily small. It was a beautiful view of the Clarence River. A lot of traffic noise.

Good spot, bring citronella

Bit of a flying visit, arrived late (no contact with host on a bit of a wet night which I was glad for because I just wanted to set up and sleep). Just needed somewhere reliable to park and camp. Bring mozzie spray!!! A bajillion mozzies made it a bit interesting. Otherwise no dramas. There are passing vehicles but for me it wasn't a big issue. Beautiful spot tho!!

The view is amazing you are right on the clearance river with water dragons wandering around just beautiful. Fire pits are already made for campfires. We loved our 2-night stay and John is a nice guy

Perfect over night stop. Easy access in and out with a caravan. Terrific views over the river watching the sunset. John was a friendly guy who came and welcomed us. Property is close to the road but that didn’t bother us too much.

This camping ground was beautiful spent 1 of my 2 nights there as we had to head home early and John gave us a night credit if we ever needed. John was a very nice host and his beautiful German shepherd was beautiful. Only con was it was abit loud as the main road is close but as it got later in the afternoon it was not a hassle. I would highly recommend:)

Riverside easy access flat sites

We had a lovely time at this riverside campsite! The flat, grassy sites were perfect for setting up, and the beautiful views of the river created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Access to the site was super easy, and we appreciated that it was dog-friendly. Having the option to enjoy a fire made the evenings cozy and enjoyable, and while there’s no water on-site, it was easy enough to stock up in Grafton nearby. The only downside was the intermittent traffic noise from the old Pacific Highway, but it was manageable and didn’t take away too much from the overall experience. Highly recommend for those looking for a convenient and picturesque camping spot - great for a overnighter on a roadtrip.

This is a beautiful spot to stay. I got a stunning sunset and the sites are really clean with good fire pits. John was nice and helpful and you can instant book and roll on in. It’s a bit close to the road so ear plugs come in handy.

Lovely but noisy

Beautiful spot to stay, host was lovely, however I wouldn’t stay again as the road was meters from the tent and was SO noisy. As a light sleeper I barely slept the 2 nights I was there. Maybe better in a caravan but in a tent, there is no shelter from the road noise.

Relaxing by the river.

Easy to book, great rate and fantastic spot. Fishing off the Riverside was a highlight. We booked at last minute and the lovely host met us as soon as we rocked up. Gave us some local hints and it us to it.

Gorgeous spot on the river, John was lovely and accommodating, however no access to the river unfortunately, and the lack of fencing on a busy main road is a real concern for pets and children.
