The campsite is a nice area however there is a road that goes through the property. Various cars, bike riders and walkers went through this road at different times of the day meaning it’s not very private. Also if you see the other site has been booked, just know it won’t be private and you could have other dogs running through your campsite.
Nice surrounds but if you’re looking for a private stay, would suggest looking elsewhere.

Had a great time, was a little difficult to find initially as the instructions were based on coming up from Sydney which we were not and the site was a little overgrown but was a quiet and peaceful little spot which was nice.
Would HIGHLY recommend people to bring bug repellent as there was a lot of mosquitoes, sandflies, spiders and ticks (so look out for pets too). Did see a wallaby though which was cool!
Will also add while it was no problem for us, there is zero reception out there (at least with Optus anyway) just in case anyone is wondering.

Poplars campground at Rosemont
Beautiful. Camped in a grove of poplar trees, surrounded on two sides by steep mountains with no buildings in sight, you really feel the serenity of nature.
The road in is narrow & rocky but easily traversable. Damien was accommodating with an early check in, much appreciated. Instructions were easy to read & follow.
As other reviews have mentioned, it's about 1km stroll back down the road to get to accessible river frontage but the walk is beautiful & full of local fauna.
Minimal phone reception, for a peaceful escape into nature it's perfect, just don't forget some mozzie spray as they are relentless being right across from the river. Highly recommended

Such a unique and tranquil spot. Picturesque and peaceful. Directions were easy to follow and we didn’t see another soul our entire stay. Lovely!

Great isolated spot amongst the poplar trees. Quite a pretty site to be in and really enjoyed it. Things to note though, mosquitos are out of control as your next to a marshy section of the creek, make sure you bring aeroguard. There's no direct access to the creek from the campsite, access to the creek is about 1km back at the cattle grid and small wharf. That bit isn't clearly stated in the details but we found it anyway. Day trip to St Albans is highly recommended. Damien is good to deal with too.

Sadly anyone was in the property compare with other properties that we had visited with this app. The reception of the phone doesn't work, so it really felt no communication with the owner due to no one was there. The Lawns were pretty high to find a spot to set the tend. The trees are beautiful in the property and add a nice atmosphere to the place. To keep in mind the camping site is just in front of the main road. Other than that the place is OK.

Had a lovely week stay here over the festive period for a quiet camping Christmas. The campsite is lovely and shady with beautiful filtered light through the trees, lots of great kindling for the fire and perfect spot for kids and dogs to run free! Accessibility to the water is actually quite tricky despite it not being far. We did have a swim off a pontoon at the beginning off the property (which we drove to) and also there is plenty of spots to access the river in the public park at wiseman’s Ferry which we really enjoyed. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely little spot. Getting to the water to swim was a bit trickier than we imagined, but the camping area was gorgeous, peaceful, and felt like we had the world to ourselves.

Serenity, perfect camp for dogs

Poplars campground at Rosemont
We loved the serene location, private with freedom for our dogs to be off leash. Flat for setting up an easy camp and shady with the poplars still letting in the filtered light. We swam in the river from a pontoon just a short drive (or long walk) from camp.
Tips: The ground requires sand pegs. We did need the Aeroguard. Township of Wiseman’s Ferry has everything you may need, however is a short distance, but min 15mins, may have to wait or queue for ferry at peak times.

Great location, plenty of firewood and well secluded! A great trip to getaway from it all and an amazing time away, will definitely come back!
