Located on a sealed road, on 220 acres of land, approximately 5-6 minutes to Sutton or Gundaroo, 10 minutes to Gunghalin and 20 minutes into Canberra. The site is very quiet and private. Sutton village (5 kms away) has a toilet block and shower amenities available. A beautiful quiet location to stay. Close to a lot of amenities, such as Bakery, Wineries, Gundaroo, Mulligan's Flat Reserve and Gunghalin shops. Sutton has a world class bakery, we recommend chicken and leek or pepper steak pies. Gundaroo has an old world pub with local wines and food. The old police station at Gundaroo has been converted to a gourmet pizza restaurant, there is also an excellent restaurant named Grazing. There is also Eagle Hawke pub, which is very popular. There are numerous wineries nearby including Gundog at Gundaroo and all of the many Murrumbateman wineries. Water refill and waste disposal is available at Queanbeyan showground. The Mulligans Flat Reserve, about 10 minutes away, is a real first in Australia, given that a very large area has been set aside near Canberra to foster wildlife. A walk through the reserve is well worth while. Check it out. None of the above should be missed if you visit our area. Situated on a farm, our property has flat terrain in most areas. We have a land for wildlife reserve on site to explore native plants and wildlife. Was good stop over for a few nights, decided to leave early to make it to Melbourne quicker. Really private, fairly flat and peaceful. There was a white car that flew down the driveway a few times, so we had to make sure our children stayed away from that area.

We enjoyed a lovely peaceful stay at Lorraine's property, we had the area to ourselves. It was very picturesque, watched the kangaroos bounce past, listened to the birds in the morning.

Thoroughly enjoyed our second stay at this property, despite the cold! Lorraine was very welcoming, and it is a great location for accessing different parts of Canberra. Wonderful star gazing too!

Camped here for 1 night with the caravan, easy access, plenty of space, flat ground. Directions were perfect, Lorraine was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying for an overnighter or two. Situated close to Canberra yet very quiet and rural.

Beautiful spot, amazing views. Far away enough but just close enough to all the things you need in canberra. We had a lovely stay and appreciated we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

Beautiful, beautiful spot. Loved it. Great spot for a bit of relaxing and escaping the city. Lots of birds come and go from the trees and dam through the day, perfect if you enjoy bird watching. Camped in a swag, and the hot summer days seem to cool by evening as a breeze always starts sometime between 6-8pm for a nice comfy sleep. Not far from Canberra but away from the traffic and noise of a city. For other tent/swag campers, the local town of Sutton (<10mins away) has a toilet block and shower amenities available. Hosts were super welcoming, accommodating and lovely. Do try the recommended list of restaurants to try out as suggested by host, we enjoyed it!! Would 100% recommend

Friendly hosts. We camped with an off grid camper trailer. Was a peaceful place with distant road noise but mostly only disturbed by the sounds of frogs, birds and cows. There was enough distance between us and the other campers to still feel private. Would camp there again.

Lorraine's property is stunning. Comes to greet you also to make you feel welcome and walks you though everything. Cute little ducks in the dam, kangaroos in the evening and stunning views to top it off. Thank you!

It was a nice quiet spot with lovely views! I was only there the 1 night but would stay again. I would recommend taking fly repellent and have flooring for your camp as it’s in an open paddock where cows have been. Didn’t bother me but something to think about….

Easy to find. Really close to canberra. Super helpful host. Nice clear, flat spot for vehicle. Not a soul in sight. Peaceful. Bakery in sutton round the corner definately worth a visit. Great find. Recommend.
