Nice and grassy 3acres of land located right on the channel . Plenty of fishing spots and can launch a kayak straight from your campsite . You can cycle around cane fields and Macadamia farms . Only a 10 minute drive to popular surfing beaches in Yamba and Angourie . We supply fire pits and timber when in stock is available to buy.2.5 acres of flat, grassy land right on the river. You can kayak up the channel to Lake Wooloweyah or back down to the Mighty Clarence River. Great little spot to throw the fishing line in . We are 12 kms from Yamba and 9 kms from Maclean. Set up camp wherever you like on the mowed grassy area.You are in a quiet rural area so please respect the neighbours. This is a CARAVAN only campsite . We have no amenities so you MUST be totally self contained and bring your own toilet , no exceptions allowed . Please take all your rubbish with you and leave your site as you found it . Leave no trace. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control at all times . Fires are permitted as long as no restrictions are in place . This camp is suited for people who like the peace and quiet .Strict no party policy at all times .

2.5 acres of flat, grassy land right on the river. You can kayak up the channel to Lake Wooloweyah or back down to the Mighty Clarence River. Great little spot to throw the fishing line in . We are 12 kms from Yamba and 9 kms from Maclean. Set up camp wherever you like on the mowed grassy area.You are in a quiet rural area so please respect the neighbours. This is a CARAVAN only campsite . We have no amenities so you MUST be totally self contained and bring your own toilet , no exceptions allowed . We rate this hipcamp in the top 5 of all the hipcamps we have booked. Great location, flat area, plenty of room and space between sites, beautifully maintained, easy access, nice wide entrance for larger caravans, and great communication from host. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful spot on the river and had it all to ourselves. Would definitely recommend but is very expensive for what you get.. Thanks for having us!

Peaceful place

It was our second time at this place and once again this place is amazing. Just about 10 min drive to town, 8 minutes to coles and other shops. This place is very private, quiet and peaceful. We will definately come back again and again.

Well maintained site, easy access and only a quick trip off the highway and close to the main road. Perfect for our two night stop to visit with friends. Ample room for to camps, we had three campers during our stay and there was still plenty space to maintain privacy.

What a fantastic area to camp. Pristine grassed area right near the water. Plenty of space to relax fish if you want or do nothing. Not too far to drive to Maclean or Yamba which is near the beach or for shopping at both towns. Ideal for dogs.

This was our most favourite Hipcamp we stayed at over the prior five weeks travelling. A wonderful relaxing place to stay right on the river and very close to Yamba and the beaches. Cathy and Tony were the perfect hosts. Highly recommended!!

Camping with a side of fishing!

We loved caravanning at On The Channel. It was easy to find, peaceful, quiet and our daughters loved easily catching Bream and Catfish! Not to mention the beautifully green grass that was so welcome. We hope to be back!! Thanks Cathy for a wonderful stay on our trip up North.

Great spot on the water plenty of room between camp sites . Other hip camp hosts should check out the set up . It’s close to Yamba Maclean and beaches yet sitting around the fire feels like you’re away from everything . Our dog loved it . Would recommend to others .

Fantastic quiet spot right on the river. Very flat, huge spaces between the maximum of 2 vans allowed. Plenty of sun for the solar panels and trees to sit in the shade. It was so nice we came back again after a few days. Would highly recommend.

We loved this place, beautiful, peaceful and a great setting right on the channel, yet close to Yamba and beaches. The lush grass was perfectly mowed with a nice fire pit for a relaxing bbq. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best Hipcamps, peaceful, beautiful river view, and lovely mowed grass. We were tucked in along the bank, very private. Great location for full sun dawn to dusk so our batteries were happy too. We saw fairly large fish jumping if you wanted to throw a line. We extended our stay to enjoy On the Channel an extra 2 days. Thank you for sharing this wonderful spot.

Great site, there are four sites in total, all on the riverbank with around 50m between them. The paddock they are located in was nicely mown and the entire area, well looked after. A short drive from Yamba. Maybe a little bit of traffic noise from the highway, but nothing that was intrusive. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay at On the Channel was perfect, close to Yamba and yet so peaceful. The camp was so nice, loads of birdlife and perfect green grass for our pup to enjoy.

The grass was lush and level. Great spot on the river with plenty of fish. Close drive into town and lots of space for the dog to roam.

On The Channel was such a perfect spot! The wide open space was perfect for the dog and toddler to run free. And the moonrise over the field 😍 WOW! Cathy was also an excellent host. Communication 100% and the check-in couldn’t have been any easier. We’ll definitely be back!

Such a beautiful location. So serene with the water, birdlife and lovely grassed area. Wonderful hosts and camp sites are pristine with fire buckets and well spaced apart. And only 5mins to Yamba! Will definitely be back! Thanks Cathy and Tony :)

Lovely spot on the channel. Lots of space and freshly mowed grassy area for pulling up a nice private spot. We brought our young kids and they loved it.
