Find a peaceful place at Omadale Brook to camp and relax off grid. Great to stop and unwind or use as a base camp for 4WD to explore the stunning Barrington Tops including the famous Aussie Ark. The Historical Victoria Hotel is located just 13kms down the road, in Moonan Flat. Omadale is a historical Brook (nee Creek for those not of Scottish decent), originating in the heart of the Barrington Tops at Pole Blue, flowing down to meet the mighty Hunter River, the camp site is located at the bottom of the Brook just before it meets the Hunter River. You can set up on either site as a group or simply as a single camper.

Great to stop and unwind or use as a base camp for 4WD to explore the stunning Barrington Tops including the famous Aussie Ark. The Historical Victoria Hotel is located just 13kms down the road, in Moonan Flat. Omadale is a historical Brook (nee Creek for those not of Scottish decent), originating in the heart of the Barrington Tops at Pole Blue, flowing down to meet the mighty Hunter River, the camp site is located at the bottom of the Brook just before it meets the Hunter River. You can set up on either site as a group or simply as a single camper. Please NOTE: This is a working farm and at times stock will share the paddock. Therefore we can't always control the noise they make, where they go to the toilet and when they visit. However, we do our utmost to keep the site well presented and most of the time stock steer clear of people. Stock include cattle and sheep.

This was one of the best campsites I have been too. Stunning view from the camp with a lovely stream off the campsite. The site was spacious and so quiet. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend this place.

I think I was in heaven. We wound down for 3 nights here. Beautiful place to camp in a well cleared area beside oramund brook . We used site 1, but both sites equally fantastic. Would highly recommend

Perfect for a long weekend. So peaceful, fire, friends and fury friends. Beautiful sound of the brook in the back ground and views you could never get sick of.

Perfect setting. Lots of space to kick a ball with our boys, and lots to explore along the brook. Clean water, clean air and lots of firewood made it ideal. Will be returning for sure. Thanks Gav and Lucy.

Camping at Omadale Brook is perfection. Open campsite that sits between a bubbling creek and rolling hills is just bliss. Campsite is large, clean and mowed short so makes pushing a wheelchair around very easy. Love visiting and will be back again

Long Flat serenity

Site 2 - Omadale Brook Camp
We stayed at Long Flat Campground which was perfect for our van 22ft. We did miss the turn off to the camp and turning around was a bit hard but Just slow down when you see the cottage ( strongly recommend putting into your maps!!) as the gate to Long yard is directly opposite. Go a little bit wider when entering and exiting the gate. The culvert seems a little boggy and it is narrow but just drive straight and true and you'll be ok!!! There is so much firewood around and we built an amazing fire that was handy when the weather set in. The river was flowing and so tranquil. The amount of birdlife we saw was extraordinary. We cant wait to visit again and again

Another beautiful weekend away at one of our favourite camp sites. The site is always mowed, clean and tidy and we were very thankful for the fire wood left for us to use. Would absolutely reccomend this property. Gave & Lucy are great with communication, friendly and so easy. Overall beautiful & peaceful ✨️

Another great weekend in paradise, even with the very chilly weather, we still had a relaxing fun time. A fire, space for the puppa and solitude on an otherwise hectic long weekend.

Great spot. They had a lot of rain before and after our stay. Apart form a few drops upon arrival we had great weather. The track in was boggy and would have been a real test if towing a van but ground would have been as wet as it gets so access would be ok nearly all the time.

Long Flat site at the Omadale was absolutely beautiful. Easy access for our caravan with lots of flat area to set up. Wonderful views of the rolling hills and lovely running Brook. A Well maintained clean site in a quiet location. Would highly recommend the site to anyone or group and we will definitely be back in the near future. Gavin and Lucy could not have been more accommodating, friendly and wonderful to deal with, thank you for your hospitality it was much appreciated. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to visiting again 👌

It was an absolute gem of a spot with a beautiful brook running beside the campground. You are far enough away from the other groups to have some peace and quiet, and I was amazed by the site itself, which resembled a manicured lawn. We'll happily go back and we're warmly welcomed by Gavin and Lucy.

Lovely camp on the brook. Flat, open. Not close to the other sites. Fresh creek water. Plenty of space for us and our two dogs. Great, isolated off grid camping. Will be back!

How's the serenity..Perfect place to unwind and relax..No other campers in sight had the whole place to ourselves..River was crystal clear and surely was the place to be on a hot day..Easy to find and access your camp site..Highly recommend,we will be back..

Wow. We have been looking forward to staying at Gavin and Lucy’s hip camp for a long time and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We had the whole place to ourself but even if we didn’t the sites are so far away from each other it would still feel that way. Site 2 was great. Heaps of room, flat and right on the brook. It didn’t matter where you looked the views were stunning. I can’t recommend this gem enough

We took our pop top caravan to this magical spot. Total privacy, green grass right to the waters edge of the shallow creek that trickles of the rocks, big shady trees, variety of birds, sky full of stars and a visit from the beautiful black angus cows. There is no phone or TV reception so its a total switch off and relax. The brook is not very deep but deep enough to sit in and get cool. We brought our own toilet, shower, camp firepit and wood as there are no facilities so bring everything you need. We visited the nearby Moonan Flat pub and was very surprised at the quality of food available and facilities, we also caught up on our phone msgs as they have reception. Overall our stay at Omadale was the best 3 days camping we've had in a long while. Highly recommend this camp stay.

There's no such thing as a perfect hipcamp, but this is pretty close. Beautiful picturesque site, easy to find, grass well manicured, plenty of firewood around. We had perfect weather also; hot enough to go in the brook during the day, and cool enough to enjoy the fire at night. Can't get much better. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
