This unique abode, has a relaxed feel on a 5 acre property, close to the Byron town (only 13kms) but far enough away to enjoy the solitude the hinterlands offers with access to wide open fresh air. It consists of a 1964 original vintage caravan, with an open-plan living/dining area, a gorgeous industrial-style bathroom, with a glass ceiling for star gazing & an outdoor fire-pit. The open air living allows guests to feel 100% connected to the natural environment, while at the same time having access to reliable, fast internet along with the comforts of a hot shower, flush loo etc. It is an ideal way to capture the restored feeling from remote camping, without the hassle of taking all your camping gear. Sleeping arrangements: We have a custom-made inner spring mattress that is an unusual size due to the vintage age of the vintage caravan & therefore the size, is in between a King-single & double size width & a queen-size length (which may or may not be big enough for 2 people depending on your sleeping expectations). The actual measurements are: 1.13M wide & 2M long. There is also a separate king single-size bed, on the other side of the caravan, suitable for another adult, a child or two small children. All linen and bath towels etc are provided. The caravan is cosy, with a TV, stereo, fridge, sink, wardrobe & storage space. The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse We are a pet-friendly property. If you wish to bring your friendly pet, they are welcome, but we charge a fee of $25 . Please select that you have a pet when making your booking. We also request that you kindly ensure that your pet does not go inside the caravan or on any of the furniture including the bed, lounge etc. If there is dog hair in the van or on the couch we may need to charge an extra cleaning fee.

It is highly recommended, not to leave any food out on the dining table or kitchen benches or etc as our neighbours dogs wander in sometimes and also due to other wildlife such as birds etc. We highly recommend you put all food away in the fridge or cupboards etc. We will not be held liable for any food that goes missing or is eaten by neighbouring dogs or wildlife. Escape for peace & relaxation with amazing sunset views over the Byron Bay hinterlands (only 13km from Byron Bay town centre), from either the newly installed 2-person 14 jet Spa Bath or from the private, relaxing deck. The living area has a relaxed & private feel, that opens up with bi-fold glass doors to an expansive deck ideal for outdoor dining (with BBQ) or relaxing with a good book enjoying the beautiful hinterland breezes & views. Enjoy easy accessibility to Byron and/or enjoy the tranquility that the Byron hinterlands offers. Fully self contained & stocked kitchen to cook if you wish, outdoor BBQ, fire-pit or relax in the huge sunken spa bath & enjoy the beautiful Byron Bay Hinterlands for peace & relaxation. And there is free & fast wifi also. The main bedroom contains a queen bed, with linen sheets and luxurious bedding. It also includes a TV with inbuilt DVD & iPod dock sound system with views of the garden. There are also sliding doors between the bathroom & bedroom for privacy. In addition there is a comfortable queen-size sofa bed in the living area that can sleep an additional 1-2 guests, if needed. The bathroom creates complete relaxation, allowing views to be enjoyed from the glass shower & free-standing spa-bath (note the bathroom is open-plan). The kitchen is fully equipped, with a new fridge & dishwasher, and has an oven, microwave, washer/dryer & all cooking equipment & utensils. Sunset Cottage is a 15 minute drive to Byron Bay town & beaches, Bangalow, Brunswick & Mullumbimby and only 25 mins from Ballina airport and 35 mins from Gold Coast airport.

Exactly what we were looking for- a camping experience without the setup. Betty Boop delivered. Everything you need, nothing fancy but very nice. Bathroom is lovely, we enjoyed making a coffee in the morning, beautiful property, bathtub on the deck. Would recommend and we’d definitely go back.

Really nice place to stay very close to everything in the area. Only thing which made the experience not as fun was just a few little things, neighbours dog continually barking, tv dvd player didn’t work properly, seemed like they where mid construction of an extension (not safe for kids), and some small appliances didn’t work properly. But all in all place was lovely.

We had a fantastic stay at Betty Boop. The caravan is seamlessly integrated into the kitchen and lounge area, creating a charming and cozy atmosphere. The surroundings are wonderfully peaceful, and the darkness at night makes it ideal for stargazing by the firepit. If you’re a dog lover, you'll enjoy the delightful company of Soly and her canine friend—two very friendly and adorable local dogs.

The location was very tranquil! It was beautiful to be woken up by the birds chirping and listening to the frogs in the evening. We played board games and sat by the fire, Perfect little spot to disconnect. Quick 10 mins into town and some lovely beaches in the area. Would definitely book Betty boop again!!! Highly recommend

We absolutely loved our stay in the cottage. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and waking to the birds was really special. Thank you Jen for a wonderful stay, and great hospitality.
