We had a great time staying at Pig Bend, this was our second time staying and enjoyed it as much as the first.

We had the most beautiful stay at Simon’s Hipcamp, Pig’s Bend. The site is peaceful, private and surrounded by stunning river gums, with direct access to the river. Waking up to birds, filtered sunlight through the trees and the calm water was honestly magic.
The space feels really natural and untouched – plenty of room to spread out, relax, explore and just switch off. The river bend is perfect for swimming, sitting by the water or just taking it all in. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel grounded.
Simon was great to deal with and the site was exactly as described (if not better). If you’re after a quiet, scenic bush escape with river frontage, this place is a must. We’ll definitely be back.

Great spot. So easy to get to with clear directions from Simon. The kids loved swimming on the sandbar. Highly recommended.

This was our second trip to Simon’s Hipcamp. We stayed at the Pigs Bend this time and it was just as great if not better than Sand Bar. Just such a beautiful part of the river. Can’t wait to get back there again. Thanks for another awesome stay

Murray River 'Pig Bend'
Great private site along the Murray River. The site itself is by the water but canopied by gumtrees. With the hot day and colder night I choose not to camp there but moved away to a clearer area inland. This was still amazing and because we had the location to ourselves we wandered back to the river to enjoy the water as we pleased.

We had the best time - very private and plenty of room for our pup to run around. Fishing, swimming and plenty of shade for warmer days. What more could you ask for!! We will definitely be back

Murray River Sandbar
Right on the Murray, secluded, shady and a lovely sand bank area. Great views of the river and even saw a house boat sail by. Nice clear area to throw a rod in to fish and could watch the sun set. Peaceful and not too far out of Swan Hill if you want or need to go into town. Would be fantastic in winter using the fire pits.

Murray River Sandbar
Beautiful camp spot. The sand bank was great for our kid (18m) she had great fun playing in the sand. Lots of reasonably level ground to set up. Plenty of fire wood around as described. Simon was great with communication, we had a request which he was more than happy to accommodate.
Our only issue was the flies, I highly suggest fly traps, lots of them. Then when you think you have enough grab a couple more. I’m not stranger to flies but holy moly it killed the relaxing atmosphere
I would definitely recommend the sand bar and I would definitely go back.

Beautiful spot, very quiet. Plenty of wildlife including wriggly sticks so if you’re taking kids or pets keep an eye open. River access is easy and would suit all ages. Pity there is a house being built across the river which will impact some privacy. Fishing was good with a 20-1 ratio of carp to natives. Did catch and release a nice silver perch. We moved back to the clearing about 70m from the river to get out from under the trees, we had 80k winds on one day and didn’t want to risk it. The bonus was plenty of solar and heaps of firewood to pick up. Like the self check in and out, feels like you are really just sitting in a gorgeous corner rather than on private property. Directions and signage were excellent. Book it, set up and enjoy it.

What a lovely spot, quite calm and surrounded by river gums. Flat site. Easy to access but could be an issue in rain as quite a few miles of dirt road, loved our time there!

Beautiful spot free of other campers. Didn't see another boat on the water for 2 days which is rare. The host was excellent and there is plenty of wood.

Murray River Sandbar
We spent 4 nights and had a very relaxing stay, the sandbar was great for access to the river, good flat area to set-up camp with plenty of room. Even managed to catch a few fish. Definitely recommend and will be returning again.

Nice spot and also very quiet. This spot is very shady would be nice for summer however not so good for keeping solar charging batteries, wouod recommend a geni as well in case.
