You haven't been away until you've been to Binnaway! A 100 acre bush block with some stunning views of the beautiful Warrumbungle National Park. The only dark sky park in the southern hemisphere, a real treat for stargazers due to the crystal clear skies at night. The Siding Spring Observatory is a 30 minute drive away and home to the largest optical telescope in Australia. Basic bush camping where kids can be kids - enjoy the outdoors, build a cubby, climb trees, birdwatching, explore the creek, collect firewood... Good access for caravans. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, plenty of free wood around to gather. Dog friendly. Please remove all rubbish. BYO drinking water. No amenities so campers must BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Binnaway has a great toilet/shower facility called The Pump House which is run by the local progress association. You can get free water and enjoy a hot shower ($2) a great place to freshen up. Please make sure you read the directions in My Trips once your booking is confirmed as it contains important access information.
