WE DON'T ALLOW LOUD MUSIC OR EXCESSIVE NOISE THAT MAY DISTURB OTHER CAMPERS. PLEASE REQUEST A POWERED SITE BEFORE BOOKING SO WE CAN LET YOU KNOW IF THERE IS ONE AVAILABLE- powered sites will incur a $5.00 per night per plug fee paid in CASH on arrival. We only have 4 powered areas that are located in Campground 1. Centrally located between Nimbin and Murwillumbah in the small town of Kunghur NSW, is the Misty Mountain Campground where you’ll see the morning mist roll in, then clear to reveal spectacular days. The peace and tranquillity and spectacular scenery make this the ideal place to relax and unwind or the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore everything the Tweed Shire and the Northern Rivers Region has to offer. On arrival you get to choose your own unpowered spot. You then set up camp. The caretaker will check you in at the spot you have chosen towards the end of the day. Misty Mountain Campgrounds is suitable for tent campers, caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes.. There is tar-sealed road to most camping areas however if driving a 2WD please be careful where you park your car on your grass camping spot when there is rain. Once you have made your booking please let us know what kind of vehicle you have and if you are bringing a caravan or camper trailer. Camp Area 1 with access to power and 1 minute walk to Central Amenities and Games Room can be RESERVED for groups of 25-50. It also has its own 10m x 5m permanent shelter.

Great camping and facilities. The caretaker was extremely accommodating and attentive to ensure EVERYONE enjoyed their time there. Will definately be one of my go to's for the future.

Peter was so prompt with answering all my queries in the lead up to my camp and during it. The team on the property were so helpful and friendly. Jules at the cafe is a bloody legend!!... Each camp area had beautifully clean compost toilets and gas outdoor shower cubicles...a real treat... definitely will be recommending to mates and I'm coming back for many more camps....oh and another luxury ....some camps have carports for wet weather. Love love this place Thanks guys ! 😍🪻

Amazing spot, so many different area with different vibes to choose from! Heaps of fire pits provided, well kept toilets and showers. Hosts were so lovely and there was free kayaking on the property too! Highly reccomend :)

We loved camping at Misty Mountain. It was large site with lots of options to camp. It did rain and it was wet but we still enjoyed our time. Place has amazing views and people who worked there are super helpful and friendly.

We had a great time at Misty mountain camping ground. It was low season, so we had the camp 1 just for our group. The amenities were clean, with flush toilets and good hot water pressure in the showers. We went for walks and kayaking. It was great. I will definitely come back!

There was a wide area and lovely people there. We didn't find the lakes for swimming and kayaking but we did not have enough time to look for them

Camp 3 was a beautiful spot for my family of 6. The compost toilet and gas hot shower were so handy we didn’t need to visit the central amenities. Nice property to explore and the Misty cafe was great. Amazing coffee and yummy hot chips! Jules was very welcoming and full of great knowledge!

Gorgeous views and well spread out. Peter was lovely and stopped by in the morning for a chat and to make sure we had everything we needed. We camped only with morocycles and Peter loved this and encourage us to invite more. Toilets and showers were lovely and clean. We will definitely be back

Beautiful camp spot with the family! Julie in the coffee van was lovely and made great coffee! The grounds were well kept. Shower in the amenities block was warm and good pressure. Basic facilities, but working and clean! We will be back for sure!

We stayed at Misty Mountain Camp 2 and overall had a really beautiful experience, especially because of the atmosphere. The weather was amazing, and the views were absolutely stunning truly exceptional. We were lucky to have a full moon that night, which made everything even more magical. However, there were a few things that didn’t match the description. It was mentioned that the campsite has flushing toilets, but at Camp 2 there were no flushing toilets. The amenities (kitchen area, etc.) were also quite far from our campsite. The bathroom and shower facilities at Camp 2 were very basic and felt more like bushy toilet and shower. Unfortunately, the toilets had a strong unpleasant smell, and even in the close surrounding area, there was a noticeable odour when using the sinks or washing hands. Overall, the location and views are incredible, but the facilities could be improved or more accurately described.
