We are located right on the edge of the Macleay river with lots of space for you to camp near the river front, or in the paddock amongst the green flat grass.  Use the camp as a base and head out for a kayak, on the stand up paddle board or simply throw a line in for a spot of fishing. Crabbing is permitted in this area. You need to be fully self-contained with own camping toilet/shower.  Relax around the campfire and help the kids toast marshmallows. The beach is within driving distance, it's 5 minutes to town Drinking water is available. Dogs on leashes welcome. Please note that each booking includes 1 drivable + 1 towable vehicle. If your group has more than 1 drivable vehicle, please book a second site. We loved this gorgeous spot right on the river! The green lush grass was an added bonus. A great base for us to explore the area without being crammed into a caravan park. Highly recommend!

Stunning location. Friendly hosts. A refuge from some of the highest charging caravan parks I've ever encountered (school holidays). This property is exactly what HipCamp was built for; enabling people with a slice of heaven to share it with respectful travellers that prefer to be away from the fray.

Great campsite and very enjoyable by the water. Host Michael was excellent and ensures everyone gets a good spot not too close to other campers. Would recommend and will absolutely be back!

Great spot on the water. Close to everything. Had some great paddles in our kayaks particularly around to Spencer creek. Michael was a great host.

Waterfront paradise!

Perfect location, manicured lawn and river front sites. Not even 10 mins drive to the beach 5 mins to the shop but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, so peaceful and beautiful. We will definitely be back as soon as we can, Thank you to Michael for sharing his amazing property with us 😀

The host was lovely but had no idea we were coming. Apparently the app hipcamp hasn’t been good at communicating with him. Lovely stat though and great for a one night stop off on our way up the coast

An absolutely beautiful place to camp!! Despite the late notice of booking (sorry guys) and the weather making some campsites a little muddy, we were able to find one that was perfectly dry and had the best time!! Secluded and private with beautiful views! Thank you!

What a fantastic spot on the river. Mick is a fantastic host and there are many sites to choose from. Watching the sun sets from here are unreal and its only 5 minutes to the local Coles etc. Highly recommend 👌

We didn't want to stay in town. We wanted to camp away from others. The waterfront views and the breathtaking sunsets were just a bonus!

Michael and Irene were wonderful hosts, and their property is astounding!! We got a fantastic camp stop on the river edge, and Michael helped out with some bagged wood to start a fire. We loved every minute of our stay here, and will be visiting again in the future!!

Absolutely stunning spot! One of the best campsites we’ve stayed at! Spacious, peaceful, and with a gorgeous view of the water. The site was large and well-kept, and being so close to town made it super convenient. Perfect mix of nature and accessibility. We loved every minute and would highly recommend to anyone passing through

Beautiful kept hip camp right on the river. We caught Bream fish and the sunsets are gorgeous. Michael is a very accomodating host.

We enjoyed our stay here, quiet location on a nice river. Campsites were very generous in size and were isolated from each other. Great location close to South West Rocks and Crescent Head. Michael was really nice and helpful and gave us information about the area. Thanks for a lovely stay , we will be back

We absolutely loved our 3 days here . Michael has nicely divided the camp spots all separated by bush so it feels completely isolated from other campers . We fished and put crab put crab pits out . The camp is close to both Hat head & trial bay at South west rocks where we enjoyed beach days . Michael was a great host ,
