Spacious, level camping well-suited for travel trailers over 40 ft long.
Lucky Stars Sanctuary is an animal sanctuary which was founded on the conviction that all animals deserve a life of respect and care. We welcome animals who are injured, neglected, or abandoned, providing them with not just a safe haven but a place to flourish. The main driveway is gravel, and undulated and hilly. Accessing Site 1 can be undertaken with a 2wd. If you are towing a trailer with a 2wd, I might be able to help. Please let me know if you might need me to give you a hand. We feed animals twice daily and you are welcome to join the team on feeding rounds (8:00 - 15:00). Animals will be in the vicinity of your camp site. Please do not feed the animals. You are welcome to search through the bushland to find suitable firewood or alternatively you can bring your own. With sanctuary tours being delivered on the property, please keep all items with your tent, van or annex. Please do not allow any rubbish to be eaten by the animals. Luckystars is a sanctuary for animals and people alike, please be respectful and keen the noise down, particular after dark. We border the state forrest, providing further opportunity for hikers, nature lovers and mountain bike riders to explore their passions.

Cookie is nestled on the northern side of the property, offering beautiful views to the west. Guests can enjoy exploring the surrounding grey gum forest, with the chance to spot a variety of native wildlife along the way. You may also find some of our sanctuary animals in the paddock nearby — they’re often curious, friendly, and may wander over to say hello.

Jurassic Park (North) is tucked away down Dog Legs Track and across a charming wooden bridge. Surrounded by lush cabbage tree palms, this unique site feels like a world of its own. Depending on the season, you might witness brumbies galloping past your camp or wake up to fields of hemp growing right outside your door. It’s the closest site to the state forest, making it perfect for wildlife spotting, bushwalking, or mountain bike adventures. While there may be another campsite about 500 meters to your south, the only sign of it might be the soft glow of their campfire at night — or a glimpse as you drive past.

This is not just your usual Hipcamp — it’s so much more than a “stay for a night and leave” kind of place. When we arrived, Clint gave us a tour around the sanctuary in his car, introducing us to all the animals and sharing their backstories. There are sheep, horses, cows, ducks, pigs, goats… and you can pet them all! The next morning, the volunteers invited us to help feed the animals and even prepare their food — what an absolute highlight! Massive thanks to Clint and the whole team for making it such a special experience. I can’t wait to come back. The amenities were great too — the toilet and shower were super clean and just a short walk from our campsite. There’s even filtered water available. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves animals and wants a truly unique, heartwarming stay.

Big thankyou to Clint and his team for a wonderful camp! Clint was very welcoming and accomodating. Affordable big private campsites surrounded by animals, great spot for families. The kids loved learning about and feeding the animals with your friendly team. Your hard work and dedication doesn't go unnoticed :) Definitely recommend even as a base camp to visit the beautiful beaches within an hours drive, felt like we were coming home after a big day at the beach :) Thanks again 👍

We had an amazing time at the sanctuary. Having access to power and a shower for the price was amazing. The roosters woke us up a bit early but we were able to enjoy the morning helping to feed the animals with the team and learn all about the sanctuary and the animals they take care of. Amazing stay and ended up being a highlight of our roadtrip.

We had a great time camping at Lucky Stars. Our 3 year old loved joining in on the feeding round. The animals are very happy and very well looked after.

What an incredible sanctuary. So many beautiful rescued animals from cattle, horses and pigs to chickens, sheep and pigeons and so many more. What an incredible job the staff at the sanctuary are doing for these animals. So much space and privacy for our 2 night stay. We had a tour by Clint of the property on arrival and we joined in on the animal feeding one morning also. Plenty of free firewood available that we were able to chop up. A really lovely stay :)

We had the most magical stay at Clint’s sanctuary. It’s fantastic to see the love and passion he has for his animals and truly sees them as his family. He took us for a spectacular ride around his property and introduced us to all his animals. It was also accompanied by the most sensational sunset. Definite do not miss !

Clint's animal sanctuary was a beautiful place to stay. Clint was kind to give us a tour of the sanctuary on his four wheeler, and all the animals would run right up to the four wheeler to say hi. We camped on site with a van and a tent and had power, shower, and a toilet. Overall our stay was one of a kind and I'd like to thank Clint for the experience

We had a lovely couple of nights here. It was a great place to relax and be surrounded by the animals and nature. We loved the dogs, so cuddly and friendly. We'll miss Zanzi 😍 Clint was so welcoming, we had use of hook up on this spot and also a hot shower and toilet. We would definitely recommend Lucky Stars for something a bit different to the usual big sites.

Great to see that there are caring humans who look after vulnerable animals. Great to stay in a paddock having the cows watch us. Had the opportunity to watch the feeding but didnt do it.

Lucky Stars is a beautiful community, filled with the kindest and sweetest animals. The landscape, property and sky are stunning. Clint was a very accommodating and generous host who made sure we were comfortable. In the morning, he took us for a great tour around the property where we fed and got to know the personalities and stories of the rescue animals. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone, especially those interested in animals, sustainability, community living and a lifestyle of kindness.

Great different kind of HipCamp. Heaps of animals to learn about and get to know. Clint and the sanctuary volunteers were all super friendly and made sure our kids go to interact with the animals as much as possible during feeding.
