Great stay for rustic weekend away

Our stay was fantastic and the host is amazing. The camp area was flat, nice fluffy grass and not long, and close to the amenities. It has rained 50mm the night before and it had dried and no pooling water which was amazing to see. The animals were very friendly and even the bull wanted a neck rub. The horse is mischievous and roams for food at night so put your chairs, tables and stuff around so he can’t get to your food. Still very sweet and happy for a cuddle.
The kids loved milking the goats and feeding the pigs and playing with the animals, and the host was so patient with the kids making it a great experience. Lucille’s garden and what she has accomplished was anmazing to see and when we are in the area we will definitely stay again. This is a rustic experience but the shower and toilet made it super comfortable. I also loved the wood fired hot water system. So clever.

Nice rustic camp spot with really nice hot showers and clean composting toilets.
Camp Kitchen is cute and eclectic.
We got to say good morning to some friendly horses.
Was a nice spot to rest after our Bikepacking trip hosts are great and friendly.

Lucky’s Ridge Eco Campground
Had a great 3 night stay at Lucille’s. Plenty of room to set up and have space with easy access to amenities. Lucille is passionate about the land and is growing a great space for people who want some downtime in nature.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place. Well equipped with water, showers, toilet, and a well stocked kitchen communal area that could cater for anyone arrive without everything. Plenty of fire wood cut ready to use. Friendly animals around is a lovely addition. Lucille is a lovely host who is friendly and accommodating. Even helped us out when we had to do car repairs on arrival. This is a real slice of paradise. Will defiantly be back. Thank you Lucille.

Lovely, accomidating and hard-working people, beautiful, peaceful location
Large communal kitchen, plenty of space for a family or large group.
Clean amenities and lovely hot water fueled by antique combustion oven.
Lots of friendly animals kept away from camp-site for campers sake but just over the fence for a pat or a short stroll up to the house and dam where most of them reside. Residents dog is very friendly with people, kids and other dogs Had a lovely time, will be back!

The camp-site is absolutely gorgeous to get out of the city and have a lovely quiet experience amongst the enimals and a clear view of the stars. Firewood is provided, there are showers and toilets and a basic shed. We were allowed to visit the hosts garden/farm and got a tour around the property. We also got some home grown avocados and fruits. It was impressive, beautiful and inspiring. If you travel with a baby or a toddler, take large blanket and a tarp for protection as the place is wild and close to nature. Also beware of the animals being around, so take something to protect your food.

Lucille's land is remotely situated on a massive block of land with plenty of space for different camp spots.
There is a common area shed with kitchen, rest area, toilets and hot showers that are in great condition.
Fire pits readily available with plenty of wood to burn and axes if you like to make your own cuts.
You share the property with the lovely Lucille and Alexy as well as horses, sheep, cows and many others.
We had a great time there and if we stayed longer in the area we would of continued our camp at Lucille's land, recommend.

Lucille is a great host. The animals that she has on the farm is great to entertain the kids. With the bonfire and DJ Paul playing a few tunes on Saturday night we all ended up dancing around the fire with a full moon. What a great Easter weekend.

Lucky’s Ridge Eco Campground
We've been to many hipcamp locations but this one has them all beat! We had no problems getting our 23ft caravan easily parked. The host Lucille was so accomodating. She allowed the kids to ride the horse Jed and milk the goats, she has many rabbits, pigs, goats, geese, a very friendly dog and a beautiful property. A massive camp kitchen, warm shower and composting toilet. Her farm is self sufficient and we got to try some incredible fruits. On our second night there she had some music playing and everyone gather around a huge fire. We had the best Easter and so did the kids.
